Born and raised in Manilla in the Philippines and having relocated to Seoul, South Korea when his gaming "career" took off in earnest, Miguel Fajardo is better known as "DogBoy" here in the United States, assuming he's known at all. He's a Twtich streamer with an impressive Korean language following, makes more than enough money to live from his streaming, but still helps out at the local kids Martial Arts studio because kids are awesome and it's fun.
That's Miguel in a nutshell. He sort of bounces from one entertaining prospect to the next, so long as there's no pressing matter that's requiring his attention. His friends might find him flighty, spacy, and distracted? But he means well. And when they ask for his attention and help, he's always there to give it to its full measure.
He's known to have been an anthropomorphic Bulgae of Korean myth during his durance, and being a beast has a good many animal forms he can disappear into. He's pretty good at getting by in an urban landscape, therefore. Just hiding in amongst its wildlife when he needs to get around without drawing attention to himself.
Spring Joyeaux: A Spring Courtier, Miguel focuses on keeping the people around him upright and moving. He'd probably make an ideal claviger, but he lacks the ambition to ask.
Martial Arts: Miguel is a master of Aikido in all of its forms, save the blade. "Why learn an art of peace with a sword on?" He also teaches Martial Arts to kids.
Twitch Streaming: As the eponymous DogBoy on Twitch, Miguel is best known for his luck with games he's never tried. His 'This Looks Cool' streams are some of his most popular. He's legit famous among Korean MMORPG players, however. Life is weird.
Play?: Whatever game it is, he will play it with you.
Immigrant: Miguel's keeper is not from around here. He's from the Philippines, lived in Seoul, and escaped in Philadelphia. He's just doing the best he can, here.
The Endgame Content: Miguel's Keeper is the Endgame Content. And endless series of repetitive, grinding, menial, hopeless tasks which one must endlessly undertake to remain on the very peak of in game performance. That frozen XP bar denying dopamine, but the ever encroaching shift of the meta necessitates your continuous, incessant, ceaseless, and merciless pursuit of crafting materials, rare gear drops, and a seemingly ever-increasing list of in game collectibles, titles, and unlockable costuming.
Miguel was kicked out for enjoying it too much. He just loves gaming that much.
Standing at right around six feet in height, Miguel has the deceptively strong physique of a swimmer or runner. He's perhaps not built for power, but he's clearly no stranger to exercise. The casual fitness of a sports instructor, soldier, or that annoying friend who dropped all the baby weight in three months. He's dressed casually, but always with an eye towards comfort and general appearance. He may often be caught 'underdressed' but he is never caught without being put together in some fashion. The fashion awareness comes with the same outward casualness as his fitness, equally annoyingly. Despite this, he still has a geniality about him that others tend to find ingratiating. He's always ready with a smile.
Mien
A giant, ponderous bipedal dog-like creature, sporting patches of long dark hair and shorter, more supple patches along his arms and legs, with the majority of the length appearing at his hands and feet, around his neck, and off the ends of his ears. His face has a distended snout, his eyes are dark and reflect light with unnerving intensity. when he breathes, it's like the stoking of a bellows over coals. A hiss of heat and fire surges within his chest, and each exhale comes with a rising light in his eyes. A few years less Wyrd progression and he'd have been cute. A little more, and he'd be elegant and dangerous and beautiful. Rather like a Briarwolf, really.
This creature, misshapen as it is, is nonetheless dressed in an elegant silk robe. Black with white trim. There is an elaborate black felt hat atop his head, fastened there with a white silk ribbon tethered beneath his jaw. He tends to carry a walking staff with him, forked at one end with an eight sided hurricane lantern hanging from a pin spanning between the ends of the fork. It swings and bobs as he walks, but surrounds him in a surprising amount of light for its simple employment of glass, mirrors, and a single candle.
It takes a while to realize if he holds still he has resting animations, and sometimes his feet clip into the ground.
Mantle
A scent of petrichor and ozone in the period between a gentle rain and the storm. At night, shooting stars appear in the sky, moss gasses rise and glow, and all the lights of seasonal spring present themselves for consideration. Indoors, lights may flicker as though a storm rages outdoors. The pressure may suddenly change, pressing windows against their panes as though a large door had been opened or a gust were billowing outside.
