In a city controlled by the Circle of the Crone and the Carthian Movement, where the Lancea et Sanctum doesn't have nearly as much of a foothold as they used to, or as they do in other cities of similar size, Banan manages to maintain prominence as a Crusader for the Lancea et Sanctum in two main ways: the first is not being an asshole, and the second is being useful. Banan has set himself and his family up as unofficial protectors of the city, and manage to perform those duties without stepping on the toes or otherwise offending the Sakima. They've shown they're willing to protect any member of the city, regardless of their political or religious affiliations, and they do so effectively.
That isn't to say that Banan is a kind man. He's a stoic and laconic person who takes absolutely everything more seriously than it deserves, but who also recognizes that he can be utterly unbending without trying to force others around to his way of thinking. He's a fearsome warrior to anyone who raises arms against him, but one who doesn't use his skill to impose his will on others.
RP Hooks
Healer - In addition to being a capable warrior Banan is also a healer, and it's known that he has been able to heal permanent injuries on mortals. Rumor has it he even regrew a ghoul's leg once. He doesn't do this without expecting favors, though.
Few Words - Banan isn't the sort of person who is easy to engage in conversation, to the point of being rude sometimes. Especially with people who don't get directly to the point.
Swordplay - People who have seen Banan really fight pretty much all say that he's among the most terrifying warriors that they've seen, combining Theban miracles and skill with a blade to ferocious effect. Most of the people who don't say that mostly don't say it because they're dead.
Militia - Banan leads the city's unofficial militia, not sanctioned but tolerated by the Sakima. There have been occasional whispers that he's building the force so that he can be prepared to strike her down when the time is right.
