Bloodline Gift

The first step to destroy a target is finding it. After the Dragonslayer has tasted the vitae of a Kindred she gains an insight about his prey that is close to blood sympathy, something that allows the Azerkatil to find who she is looking for. She rolls Blood Potency: for each success the character gains a sense of her prey’s direction, well-being, emotional state OR any wounds she might have sustained. Each use of this Gift requires a different source of vitae from the victim, so an Azerkatil cannot roll Dragon Hunts It’s Own multiple times by tasting the same blood spatter, but if she finds her target, or a Ghoul, and tastes the vitae again in some other fashion, the Gift may be used a another time.

Bloodline Bane

The Azerkatil were not meant to interact with other Kindred: they were made to kill them, and their unnatural Beasts detect other vampires as prey to be fed upon. A Dragonslayer cannot gain sustenance from drinking blood of animals. For all intents and purposes an Azerkatil can only feed on mortals until she reaches Blood Potency 3. From then on she can only gain vitae by taking it from other vampires, and when raising her Blood Potency to 6 her Nosferatu Bane extends to vampires just as it does to humans.

Devotions

Burn the Dragon's Blood (Vigor ••••)

The Azerkatil’s most basic Devotion allows her to turn her own vitae into dangerous acid, but the most elusive one teaches the Haunt to do so with the vitae of enemies while still in their veins. Kindred burn and shriek as their lifesblood becomes a death sentence in the grips of a Dragonslayer. The Dragonslayer must first establish a grapple with the victim to-be. This Devotion only works on Kindred and Ghouls, as it burns vitae and not blood, and the maximum damage inflicted equals the amount of vitae in her target.

Cost: 2 Vitae and 1 Willpower

Dice Pool: Manipulation + Occult + Vigor vs Stamina + Blood Potency

 Action: Instant and Contested

Success: One vitae is burned per success, inflicting the same amount in lethal damage to the victim.

Exceptional Success: Multiple successes are their own reward.

This power costs 2 experiences to learn.

Dragon’s Hidden Sting (Obfuscate ••)

A Dragonslayer knows that hunting requires finesse, and part of that involves approaching the target while making it feel completely safe. By spending 1 vitae when using Face in the Crowd the Nosferatu remains visible but hides her Beast along with all cues of her undead state. Other Kindred will see their hunter as a mortal and any attempts to use their Predatory Aura against the Azerkatil fail: not even another Beast can find the Dragonslayer’s.

This Devotion costs 1 Experience

Dragon’s Own Fire (Resilience •••, Vigor •)

With this power, a Dragonslayer with Vitae in his system is never without a weapon. The touch of his blood-slick palm burns flesh, and she can spit the corrosive substance at others. This is the most commonly seen hostile power of the Azerkatil. Most of the first Dragonslayers were dispatched on their mission to slay Dracula without learning any other Devotion.

 Cost: 1 Vitae

 Action: Instant

The vampire changes her blood into a caustic, dangerous substance for the remainder of the scene. She can will this blood out of his body through her pores so that any part of his flesh becomes a dangerous weapon, or coat weapons with it with an Instant action. Any weapon so coated deals lethal damage to vampires. Spitting the caustic blood is treated like a thrown attack done with a Dexterity + Athletics roll and the attack’s range equaling Strength + Vigor x 2 in yards. The damage is equal to the Azerkatil's Blood Potency/2 in lethal damage as well.

This Devotion costs 2 Experiences.

Dragon’s Dreadful Roar (Nightmare ••, Vigor ••)

Born of sorcery, the Azerkatil were crafted to destroy other Kindred, their artificial Beast devised to overcome their brothers’ and sisters’. When a vampire frenzies close to the Dragonslayer she may choose to flare her own aggression in a way that is similar to Lashing Out. The Haunt hisses and growls, trying to cow the other Beast into submission. This Devotion only works on Kindred.

 Cost: 1 Vitae

Dice Pool: Presence + Intimidation + Nightmare vs Resolve + Blood Potency

 Action: Instant

 Failure: Nothing happens.

Success: The Dragonslayer cows the other Beast, immediately forcing the target out of frenzy.

Exceptional Success:For the remainder of the scene, if the targeted vampire falls into frenzy for any reason it is automatically considered that running away is their Beast's main objective, and they will do everything in their power to escape the scene and the source of their fear.

This power costs 2 experiences to learn.
