The Passionate are highly resistant to the magics and powers of other monsters. When targeted by a power (Discipline, Gift, Numina, etc) the Kindred may spend a vitae to subtract three dice from the dice pool rolled against them. This works even if there is not a resistance or contested aspect to the power.

Bloodline Bane: Virtuous

Being so devoted to righteous causes, the Septemi find themselves highly Virtuous. All Septemi possess a Virtue as mortals do, and may only regain Willpower through acting in accordance with their Virtue, not their Mask or Dirge. Furthermore, the Septemi gains the Addicted condition in regards to their Virtue.

Devotions

Banish the Summoned Servitor (Majesty ••)

With a prayer and incantation, the Septemi may drive off ephemeral beings.

 Cost: 1 Willpower

 Dice Pool: Presence + Occult + Majesty vs Resistance + Rank

 Action: Instant

Success: Any ephemeral beings within the 10 yards per dot of Blood Potency which score fewer successes are forced into twilight and cannot manifest or use numina on material beings for the remainder of the scene.

Break the Weave (Vigor •••, Majesty •••, Celerity •••, Auspex •••)

One of the most feared abilities of the Passionate is the power to shatter a magical effect. This will affect magical items and Vinculum, as well.

 Cost: 1 Willpower

 Dice Pool:Resolve + Occult + Auspex, contested by a pool equal to the effect's originator's Resolve + Supernatural Tolerance. Magical Items roll a pool equal to twice their rating if they have a dot rating.

 Action: Instant

Success: If the Septemi succeeds, the effect is dispelled. Permanent effects return at the end of the scene unless the Septemi spends an additional permanent dot of Willpower, after which the effects are gone for good.

Detect the Unnatural (Auspex •, Celerity •)

To better protect and defend, many Passionate have trained their beast to react to the presence of supernatural powers in their presence. Upon the purchase of this devotion, the Septemi gains the effect of the Unseen Sense merit of their choice. This Devotion may be purchased multiple times.

This Devotion costs 1 Experience.

The Light of Truth (Auspex ••, Vigor ••)

Illusions and lies are barriers that do not stop the Passionate. By praying and anointing themselves or an ally with a point of Vitae, the Septemi may roll Intelligence + Empathy + Auspex. Any supernatural effects impacting the targets mind or perceptions are immediately subject to a Clash of Wills, using the Septemi's Intelligence + Auspex + Empathy as a dice pool. This includes the Disciplines of Dominate, Majesty, Nightmare and Obfuscate. The benefits of this devotion only apply to the target, a vampire using Cloak of Night will not become instantly visible to others.
