Bloodline Gift

For the Bloody Sons, rank and authority is not just a social tool. Respect is earned and, when need be, this respect can be utilized as a weapon. Against anyone with whom the Soldier may apply a Status merit they possess, they gain an attack bonus equal to the difference in status, minimum +1 and maximum of +3.

Bloodline Bane

The blood of Soldiers runs hot, and the proud warrior Sons of Cade do not back down to the lesser impulses of the beast. Whenever a member of the Bloodline frenzies, it becomes an Anger Frenzy.

Devotions

Stand Ground (Resilience ••)

As in real estate, in a battle, location can be vital. Often used when defending territory or engaged with multiple opponents, this devotion allows the Son of Cade to strengthen their position. Upon spending a vitae, they may reflexively roll Stamina + Athletics + Resilience (do not add Resilience to their stamina attribute for this roll). If they are successful, for each turn that the Ventrue doesn’t move from that spot, add 1 armor, up to Resilience. This armor does not apply to banes, and any movement negates the use of the Devotion, which lasts for a number of turns equal to successes rolled.

This Devotion costs 2 Experiences.

War Horse (Animalism ••)

While it is of less overt use in modern nights, the use of beasts upon a battlefield is a time honored tradition. This Devotion improves the effect of Raise the Familiar. For each additional vitae spent, the Soldier may transfer a dot of their Physical Disciplines to the familiar. The vampire loses access to these powers while they are imbued, but may reflexively recall them at any time.

Battlefield Command (Dominate ••)

Command of a battlefield is more than simple violence, it requires planning and execution. During a violent encounter, the Bloody Son may utilize their Dominate Discipline to bolster their allies. During any active combat, the Kindred may inflict the Mesmerized condition on an ally through presence on the field alone. The ally must be able to see, hear, and understand the Kindred. Additionally, successes on the activation roll may be added to a pool of bonus dice the ally may use before the end of the combat. Using Dominate in this manner requires the expenditure of a Vitae.

Titan (Vigor ••)

Barriers fall before the Bloody Son when they are in pursuit of a foe. When in combat, they gain the following additional activation effect for Vigor: When attacking an object, subtract your dots in Vigor from an object's Durability. If your Vigor dots exceed the Durability you may, instead of rolling for the attack against the object, choose to remove the remainder of your Vigor dots directly from an object’s Structure.
