| On page 84 of Mage: The Awakening 2.0 the book stipulates limits on how high you are able to raise your Arcana without assistance. To master () a Common Arcana or to become a Disciple or better (+) in your Inferior Arcana you will require a teacher with the ability to perform the practices you must demonstrate to prove your understanding and increase your Arcana rank.
Functionally, this means you will need to log a scene with a PC or NPC teacher willing to mentor you in your new understanding. The log should contain an example of each Practice for the level of the Arcanum you are seeking to raise, and should be performed while the student has Prime sight up, if possible. The scene should demonstrate the turning point in your new understanding, the Eureka! moment of epiphany where the impossible falls obediently into your grasp. Once the log has been reviewed and approved by staff, the student may claim an Arcane Beat. The master may claim a Standard Beat.
Please consult this list first before requesting NPCs to serve as your teacher without the Mentor merit. This will reduce the time staff have to spend running these sorts of scenes so that we are able to focus on plot ones instead. Adding your name to this list means you are ICly known and Recognized by the Consilium as having the Arcana listed in the title on your wiki, and that you are willing to exchange your knowledge for some form of payment. We leave the negotiation of payment to the players, including there being none.
Likewise only add your name to the seeking mentor section if you want other PCs to ICly know that you're seeking such knowledge.
