Mark One (Mk-I) is a cybernetic entity liberated from a Seer controlled techno-magical facility called Lloyd's & Lewiston Shipping located in Trenton, New Jersey. He is plain spoken, if very precisely spoken. He exhibits curiosity, superhuman abilities of perception, intuition, and physicality. He is highly resistant to awakened magic, and has a soul. Most NPCs (and maybe some PCs if you like) remember Mark as having always been a member of the Lodge, a Child of the Tree in good standing, and faithfully married to Mary for that entire time. Everyone else may remember the mission that recovered him from captivity, or the Ascension of Balm wherein his wife Mary and her wingman and friend Hades were recovered. Vagaries of the Time War, it's whispered.
Mark has proven to be a formerly human man who was swept up into Creator's trans-humanist experiments in the astral realm. Among those Creator deemed acceptable losses due to simply being involved with the pilots and not a pilot himself, he proved to be the first truly successful synthesis of the human mind and soul with a cybernetic body able to interface into the Astral, accept external programming digitally, and not go immediately insane or try to kill its handlers.
His input and actions as a "big brother" to the Mark IIs enabled the rapid crash development and release of that program in 2020, in time with the opening events of the Future War. His utility to the Seers apparently fulfilled, it seems they assume he was lost when the facility was overrun by the Alliance of the Northeast, and its data stores plundered by Alexis Bartram. His insight and use as a figure of research and development for the Alliance has been invaluable, and the ethical considerations therein are not inconsiderable.
