The Hunters in Darkness

 What are you hunting? The Meninna are ever on the Hunt, if not for the Shartha and other threats, then for something. The Hunters in Darkness take Hikaon-Ur, the Black Wolf, as their patron, who was well regarded as the finest and most silent hunter among the Firstborn.

This region is dotted with handy shadows, and it's often said that if a Hunter in Darkness doesn't want you to find them in Philadelphia, you very well never may.

The Devil's Playground
  • The front is all boarded up with cheap plywood, and mortal eyes slip right past it. But a Hunter in Darkness knows the boltholes and the loose panels, and up the many staircases and a hatch that leads to the roof, there's a rooftop terrace with ample coverage enough that those on the rooftop can see out, but those outside it cannot see in. It is spartan, but by no means neglected, and how many different ways one has mad their way up to the rooftop is the source of some proud boasting and playful ribbing between Hunters. And while "The Devil's Playground" is a reference to the meeting spot itself, it also refers to the skyline of rooftops themselves, where Hunters play. It is often from here that many of the Hunters in Darkness will begin their hunts, sprinting across rooftops and prowling from the high shadows. There aren't any hard and fast rules about other Tribes not being allowed there, but act out and they'll know.

NPC Roles

  • Tribal Elder - The Tribal Elder's role will always be held by an NPC.
    Current Tribal Elder - Heart-Hunter

PC Roles

  • Stranger - The most dangerous of the Hunters in Darkness have mastered the art of lying hidden in plain sight.
    Prerequisites: Hunter in Darkness, Purity 5, Lore of the Land facet (Knowledge), Untouchable, Anonymity 3.
    Current Strangers: Thin Air
  • Far Scout - The Far Scouts of the Tribe know the Philadelphia region and its surrounding area intimately well. It's said they could navigate the entirety of the city, from end to end, with all of their senses denied to them and still find their way with ease. They have an innately attuned sense of their territory, a necessary attribute when hunting the shartha. When the prey goes to ground and hides, it's the Far Scouts who sniff them out, no matter where they are.
    Prerequisites: Hunter in Darkness, Purity 4, Streetwise 3, Survival 3, Tireless Prey (Hunting), .

  • Concealed Blade - It's the knife you don't see coming that digs the deepest, and no one ever sees the Concealed Blades coming. They are the silent footfalls a few paces behind the prey, the unseen shadow lurking on the rooftops, and they excel, above all things, at using the terrain to their advantage to approach an enemy unseen.
    Prerequisites: Hunter in Darkness, Purity 3, Stealth 3, Nowhere to Run Merit, Covert Operative.

  • Ghost - These Uratha have been accepted to the Tribe by proving themselves worthy with deed or test of mettle.
    Prerequisites: Hunter in Darkness, Purity 1.
    Current Ghosts: Elijah Johnston Salome Perez
  • Wolf-Blooded with the Hikaon-Ur Blood Merit may be accepted to the Tribe as Ghosts.
