"I left my innocence in the sea

With all things that I made believe
Shadow thing, it's just me
Make believe, make believe...

- Dead Horses, "American Poor"

Not everything which exists in a city was created purposefully. Some things happen by accident. Lights on the water are lovely, and the darkness of the water beneath the lights is darker for those lights shimmering on the top, but no one planned those things.

They just happen.

Mask:
Short, slender, with dark, shaggy hair, pale skin, and dark eyes, Ziv is the picture of androgynous slenderness. They're noodle-thin, with sharp cheekbones and an open, thoughtful expression.

Mien:
Ziv's skin is the color of water at night, black with blue undertones, and distant muted stars and reflected neon shimmer across their watery skin, changing color with their mood, perhaps, or the time of day. Webbed fingers and eyes without pupil or iris complete the look: their eyes are all black sclera.

Mantle:
Petrichor and the scent of cool water, like standing on the edge of a canal or river through a city right after a rainstorm in Spring. The scent of waters lilies and fresh-cut greens.
