Soulwardens Sanctum

Log

Heather Williams: Hearth hadn't been 'herself' the past few days. Ever since the increase of Abyssal incidents, the cupcake-baking, bubbly persona had fallen away. Since yesterday, she was grim, and on guard. She'd spent much of the night before and now morning in meditation and planning for longer ritual spells with any of the cadre that were home. The wards needed to be reconfigured and improved, and dangerous decisions needed to be made. Vasha's request to drop by to visit didn't help her relax, but she sent word back that he was welcome under the laws of Hospitality. She made a pot of tea, and threw a few pre-made frozen chocolate chip cookie dough lumps into the oven so the smell would fill the loft space. Even under the circumstances she couldn't greet a guest without the proprieties.

Jeremiah Hamilton: The mood shift in the cadre house hadn't gone unnoticed by Jeremiah, although he had yet to speak with the others on the reason due to his own focus on order matters and the slow rise of the Abyss' touch impacting the local Awakened. The Mastigos happened to be home when Vasha's request to drop by arrived, ducking his head into the kitchen as Hearth made with the preparations. "Need a hand with anything?"

Vasily Tometchko: Vasha has always been one of the more cuckoo Guardians. Even among those initiated into the Hieromagus Cult, he's a bit of an extremist. Less so in that particular respect, than in his dedication to Masques, to remaining unseen, to only appearing in the perceptions of the world as an occasional insect alighting on the surface of a still pond, and then flying off again. He's just not the sort for social visits, never mind fostering the sort of relationships that lead to needing to make social visits. So, yes. This would be rather anomalous behavior from the man, too.

It should surprise no one that he shows up on the front door-- appears, is probably the correct word --in ballistic armor, strapped up with weapons, and wearing a knit beanie on his head to really cap off the Operator look he's cultivating. But rather than expect to enter armed, he begins removing his weapons and dropping them into incognito presence, setting them down outside of their home instead. He appears to be taking his own advice about taking care while traveling. Once he's pared down his visible weapons to his dedicated sidearm, he gives a polite knock on the front door.

Shave and a haircut.

Heather Williams: Hearth shook her head at Jeremiah as she pulled the cookies out of the oven and slid them into a ready cooling rack. "I've got it, though stick around for this visit? I have no idea what it's about or why he'd be coming here. Whatever happens... keep yourself safe?" Hearth tilted her head towards the door. "Actually, want to answer that? I'll bring the tea and cookies over to the coffee table." Their place was a converted industrial loft with high ceilings, brick walls, and while most of it was open plan, there were some odd corners and nooks left over from the original factory's needs.

Jeremiah Hamilton: "Always do." Jeremiah replied with a small smile, glancing towards the door before nodding and heading towards it to open it after peeking through the peep hole to confirm who it was behind it. "Come on in." He said as the door was opened, stepping aside to allow Vasha entrance. "Good seeing you as always."

Vasily Tometchko: "I hear that so infrequently," Jokes the Acanthus in his heavy Ukrainian accent. "But it is good to see you, too. Thank you for accepting me." He removes his knit cap as he steps under the doorway, tucking it under the epaulet of his uniform jacket. He steps clear of the entry way and probably unnervingly sweeps his eyes over his new surroundings in a manner common to all people sizing up the warspace. Old habits die hard, and all that. "I wanted to pay you all a visit personally. After last night's events, I am choosing to be selective of who I bigot with a true accounting of last night's events. I'm offering a copy of my timewalk, an alternate timeline, the attack itself. In the hopes your Cadre will continue to set precedents in this community for leadership and dedication to the defense of the Awakened Nation and the sleepers we shepherd." He glances after Hearth, giving her a small nod.

Heather Williams: Hearth followed Jeremiah in carrying a heavy teapot (easily weaponized) and the plate of cookies. She frowned, set down the treats, and took a seat. Vasha had his choice of seating. "What happened last night that sent you timewalking?" she asked blandly. Too blandly, perhaps, as she poured tea for everyone and took a sip of her own if only to prove that the communal pot wasn't poisoned. "The Soulwardens have always been dedicated to serving the Awakened community, protecting the Sleeping and helping the newly Awakened find their feet. We will continue to do so, of course."

Jeremiah Hamilton: Jeremiah waited until Vasha had chosen a seat before claiming his own, nodding in agreement with Hearth's statement. "Indeed we will. Especially now with the...shadow cast over things these days, as it were."

Vasily Tometchko: "A Seer operative, a woman, adopted the trappings of the Interfector, appeared on Drury Street near McGillin's Irish Pub and violently attacked two highly placed members of the Changeling community of Shackamaxon, nearly killing one young woman and grievously wounding her husband. The attack was purposely designed to occur during a period of high traffic, and it was widely captured on amateur video. Within minutes, it was broadcast across the Valley, and was spreading virally over social media beyond our region. The second it crossed my news alerts, I sped to the scene, did a timewalk, identified numerous potential allies in the crowd closely associated to the victims, none of whom were sleepers. I took a gamble, shifted the sands, and together we were able to capture the Seer. I still have her in a pocket timeline I'm carrying in my pocket, if you want to see her. She's very much unconscious. I am due to hand her over to Man later this afternoon once the Gaol is prepped and we're ready to suck out the last of her Potentia. I rode her pretty hard and ran her near dry-- I think she must be Acanthus. Unfettered fate, mastery of Time, Fate, and Mind. Gave me a run for my money, if I'm being honest." Vasha twitches his nose once at that, then clears his throat and self-consciously slides into a chair. "I don't think I ever counterspelled that much in my life."

Heather Williams: Hearth sucked in a breath, unable to control her not-shocked and quite grim reaction. "I'm relieved to hear that you were successful. I need to speak with the Man myself, and I'd be happy to assist in removing her potentia if necessary. Our enemies are moving. It's even more disturbing that they took on an Interfector's guise just after one was here for the first time in a while. I don't think that it's a coincidence." She glanced sideways at Jeremiah. "Did you go to the trial and execution?"

Jeremiah Hamilton: The mention of the Lost made Jeremiah sit up straighter on reflex, a note of concern slipping into his bearing along with the frown that formed with Vasha's explanation. "Glad you were able to capture her before she could cause more issues." He shook his head at Hearth's question. "I didn't, no."

Vasily Tometchko: "One failed scheme cost them a Triple Master field agent. To be clear, I count this as a win. I'd call in more Red Guards, but I am the only one in North America so far as I am aware. And I am neither perfect, nor omnipresent. A simultaneous attack, an attack where I don't come off quite as lucky, and things go much differently. I'll keep throwing myself at them wherever they arise, but we need greater vigilance. Some way of flushing them all out. I was hoping the sympathies and information we can glean from this woman will help in that regard-- perhaps she is part of a Pylon we can begin to move against. But between the rise in the Abyss's potency, the Acamoths, now this? I am tired of reacting. I am not supposed to react. I am supposed to be making them react. That's my purpose. We're on our back heels, and I don't like it at all." Vasha picks at a loose thread on one of his buttons briefly, then folds his hands over his stomach and lets out a heavy sigh. "So, no. No coincidences here. I am simply waiting for reason to appear out of the fog of this particular war."

Heather Williams: "I've tried to call in more of the Flames to help deal with the growing Abyssal situation too, and more may be able to come at some point, but we're not that many and we're kept hopping. I... do not think that a Seer attack like this and the Abyssal attention are unrelated. Further, if they mimicked the Interfector in this attack you stopped, someone had to tell them about it in detail." She looked down into her teacup. "We're always going to be on the defensive if we've a leak."

Jeremiah Hamilton: "Agreed...this feels like a concentrated effort to keep us off-balance and unable to respond properly when the hammer properly drops." Jeremiah shook his head, sitting back in his seat. "Don't like it one bit."

Vasily Tometchko: Vasha gives a large, solid nod of agreement at Jeremiah's statement, his thumbs tapping together idly. "Yes. Yes. That. That certainly feels right, but it may just be the natural sensation of people with their guard high and worrying for their belly. And we're certainly not going to be the only ones feeling this way-- and we're some of the most powerful, best trained, best supported Will workers in the region. Can you imagine what the Solitaires are feeling? Paranoid and without a Cadre watching their back?" Vasha's head shakes sadly. His gaze then flits to Hearth with a small, tight lipped little nod. "Our mandate is external threats. This was by design. The other Orders would never conscience the Red Guards turning their methods on our own. I ... can certainly suggest ways of looking into a potential leak, but. ... Well. I am hesitant. It feels blasphemous."

Heather Williams: Hearth reached out and gave Jeremiah's hand a squeeze. "I feel similarly. Such inquiries aren't my personal forte," she said dryly, and waved towards the plate of cookies. "And I'm sure the Ladder would love us to start poking at you guys, eh? But something needs to be done. Perhaps we need to compartmentalize more. Set out some canary traps to narrow down the broadly paranoid suspicions into something more... actionable."

Jeremiah Hamilton: Jeremiah smiled at Hearth, giving her hand a small squeeze in return. "One thing I have to wonder is why attack one of the Lost. Could be an attempt to drive a wedge between us and potential allies, so doing some talking with the other groups in town to fortify against that might be worthwhile as well."

Vasily Tometchko: "I offered to surrender myself to them and answer to their crown for the behavior of the Seer I captured. I was counting on my Arcadian origins to help me out in this regard. Their kind seem rather fond of me for whatever reason. I made it clear that this person had violated one of our great precepts, and that she would be severely punished. They accepted my story and let me leave, but I made it clear that we ought to have our diplomats meet together. Because, yes, if they keep trying this, we're going to need to be out ahead of it. Me, personally, I haven't the foggiest clue why they would attack the woman they did. I didn't have time to analyze her fate threads or future, and that sort of study is rude to do to another supernatural without their permission. Perhaps I will reach back out and offer them that service. As a gesture of goodwill, of course." Vasha smiles a bit at that, but the expression is forced and fleeting. "Compartmentalization seems wise. For the short term, in any case. Your idea is a long game to play with the Exarchs, well you know." Vasha leans to the side and shoves his hand into his pocket, pulling out a pile of silver dollar coins. He fishes through them one by one until he finds the one holding the alternate timeline and holds it up to their vision. "I suggest we start here, myself. Interrogation. Mind plumbing. Sleep deprivation. More interrogation. More mind plumbing. Iron out her wrinkled little brain until it's all written down in an indictment." I'm sure everyone else is comfortable discussing enhanced interrogation techniques over cookies, right?

Heather Williams: Hearth snorted. "Well I'm not baking a cake for the occasion so cookies will have to suffice.

Jeremiah Hamilton: "I haven't run into any of the higher-ups with the freehold that I'm aware of but I get along with pretty well with the ones that I've talked to." One in particular, of course, but that was neither here nor there in this moment. He eyed the coin as it was held up, frowning quietly as Vasha spoke. "A deep dive would help figure out her motives, at the very least." He didn't necessarily approve, but needs must...

Vasily Tometchko: "Oh, I'm sure her motives are what they always are. They came to me in a dream, their power is beyond your ken, it's already too late, you will never defeat them so why even try. Very often these sycophants miss clues in their own visions. That's how they communicate with these wretches, you know. Visions. Dreams. Shadows on the fucking cave wall, the poor bastards." Vasha rolls the coin over the back of his knuckles, first one direction, then the next, then flips it up to catch it out of the air with a sing of humming metal. Vasha closes his fist and then opens it, and the coin is gone. Of course anyone with mage sight will catch the invocation of an attainment in there, so his sleight of hand skills are far less impressive than he just made them appear, no doubt. "I'd like to offer one of your number access to the interrogation. We don't need to spread that sin around any wider than is necessary. If you refuse, I'll understand."

Heather Williams: "I'll do it," Hearth said firmly. "It's our burden to spare the other orders this. And... perhaps if we're going to compartmentalize in this and creating a trusted cell to handle matters directly, we should plan on ensuring the loyalties of those within the cell," she said grimly. "I would volunteer to prove myself. I'm sure others would too."

Jeremiah Hamilton: Jeremiah looked ready to reply when Hearth stepped up first, nodding quietly. "I was going to offer since I have the highest mastery of Mind among us to my knowledge and could help in the workings. Up to you, though."

Vasily Tometchko: Vasha holds up his hands, fingers splayed, indicating he is not entering into a debate amongst their Cadre as to who will assist. "I leave it to your Cadre to decide who, if anyone, will assist me in this. As noted, she'll be in the Gaol by this evening, and I'd like to begin the interrogation tomorrow so we can have it concluded by the weekend." Yes, he just said that casually. Guardians are a trip sometimes. "That is all I had for you. By way of information and offer. I am afraid I do not know how to do small talk as myself all that well. If you like, I can see myself out and spare you all that awkardness."

Heather Williams: "You are welcome here," Hearth said firmly. "Small talk or no. If there's ever anything we can do to assist you whether it's somewhere to rest, backup, or-" she smiled faintly. "cookies and cupcakes. We all fight the war in our own way, and we're on the same side."

Jeremiah Hamilton: "Here here." Jeremiah nodded, giving Vasha a small smile. "If there's anything we can do to help, let us know."

Vasily Tometchko: Vasha wasn't kidding, of course. He's not quite sure what to do with people being aggressively friendly at him. So he reaches for a cookie and takes an awkward bite from it, chewing audibly in the sudden cloying silence. And now he has crumbs on his uniform, which he commences to brush off. A few more noisy bites are punctuated by the statement, "Good cookie." Dreadfully, terribly awful at small talk.

Heather Williams: "And they're not poisoned this time or anything," Hearth said with a hint of her usual bright cheer coming back. "Tell me, with your mastery of time, could you set a ward against anyone who's from an alternate timeline from entering a place?"

Jeremiah Hamilton: Jeremiah smirked a touch at the semi-quip from Hearth, taking a cookie for himself and breaking off a piece rather than biting into it directly. His cadremate's question earned a curious look, though, with the Mastigos wondering what had brought that up.

Vasily Tometchko: Vasha's chewing pauses. His eyes narrow a bit. So much so that the 'Third Degree Adept' doesn't even bother protesting his mastery of Time. "I would have to do some experimentation. I imagine a ward could be constructed to bar an individual from another timeline, but that invites a lot of really interesting questions. How many tatters of redacted timelines am I carrying around? I'm always leaping into the future for clues, or reliving moments to undo consequences. Can I be said to be of this timeline any longer? So. Short answer is that... in theory it could be done. Though I personally lack the knowledge of Space to create the wards per se. I might be able to safeguard a section of time from being tampered with for a ... spoken language is so insufficient! From being tampered with for a time. If I'm holding its threads out from the prime timeline, they would have to first unravel my spell to tamper with the temporality I've carved out. It ought to be possible to create... a pocket of time that's all our own, similar to how we create pockets of space similarly. That while in it, you'd be protected from timeline changes and the like. Theoretically." Vasha then sets his nibbled cookie back down and inquires, "Why?"

Heather Williams: Hearth leaned back. "When I Awoke it was a rather traumatic affair. Not usual for us Moros. I lost my entire family in the process but when I returned from Stygia things weren't quite... right. For example, my daughter's middle name was not the one I'd given her, though it had been one we'd considered. There were other subtle changes too. These things could be explained away by the trauma and injuries I suffered messing with my head but I personally think that when I Awoke I skipped sideways to an alternate universe. Or whatever. The metaphysics aren't my forte, but it's a very strange, quite distinct sensation."

Jeremiah Hamilton: Jeremiah's eyebrow arched as he looked between the pair, the temporal metaphysics decidedly outside of his wheelhouse. "I've heard of that happening before. Didn't know you had gone through it, though..."

Vasily Tometchko: "You said 'when I returned from Stygia'. Which sounds like your awakening was like mine. You went there. Whatever part of you can be said to be you. You left your meat cage and crossed the Abyss, walked Stygia, signed your name. Is this the case? I ask because I know others with similar awakenings. Many of them, in truth, and most of them awoke here in Tukihëla." The old Lenape word for the Consilium here. "Did you make any other changes in Stygia while you were there? Because there are theories, you see. And I am curious. This has been something of a side project of mine, these Awakenings. If it were an Acanthus awakening, I might understand it more. But. Thyrsus. Obrimos. Mastigos. Moros. Acanthus. It doesn't seem to matter." Vasha looks momentarily to Jeremiah, then back to Hearth, "So it is my belief that it was not Time magic per se that changed your memories, Hearth. Or, at least, I don't see why something capable of such widespread time magic would be found in Stygia."

Heather Williams: "I don't think that the Arcana are so discretely separate as to be completely cut off from one another, especially not at that supernal point of an Awakening," Hearth said quietly. "It's my theory that I wasn't necessarily intended to fully wake in my original timeline. There was some interference, however. Years of deliberate manipulation. Perhaps in the original timeline, while my soul walked the Supernal path and signed my name, I died just as fully and completely as my family did. In returning, my soul took a path back to the closest time when it was possible for me to survive." Hearth sighed. "This is all tangental and irrelevant in any case. I do think that you should consider methods for detecting and warding against temporal anomalies, however. Especially since you just had a critical encounter with one of the Seer's own master of Time, Fate, and Mind. I have the feeling that it could be important."

Jeremiah Hamilton: "I went through Pandemonium myself as well, for what that's worth, although that was in Los Angeles and I didn't have any aftereffects happen that I noticed." His two cents added he looked towards Hearth, getting a read on her current state; in all the years he'd known her she rarely spoke on what had brought her onto the Path and he knew there was a good reason for it.

Vasily Tometchko: "That... is an interesting hypothesis. It certainly makes sense. Though what happened to your soul that fled your body from the timeline you ended up in?" Vasha's eyebrows wiggle, and his grin spreads a little wider as though the absolute forehead slapping agony of this hypothetical is something he lives for, in particular. "Or do you have two souls. Or was your soul rewritten, too? See. My focuses are so esoteric, and my studies so focused on ephemeral arcana that concretes and absolutes are enigmas to me. Matter. Life. Death. These Arcana seem so ... opaque to me. I'd have to work with someone more studied in them to be of any help, really, in answering that question." He then rubs his hands on his knees and notes, "I will keep an eye open for temporal shifts, then. Time Sight can reveal the seams in the threads if you take the time to look for them, as a side note."

Heather Williams: Jeremiah knew her well enough to be able to tell that she was deeply disturbed by something- bothered enough that voluntarily bringing up her own Awakening as some vaguely parallel explanation was more desirable than actually discussing what was currently troubling her. She'd never spoken about her Awakening in such explicit detail and here she was coming out with it to an overtly dangerous Guardian operative of all people. "I think I'd have noticed if I had two souls," Hearth said dryly. "But maybe she failed to Awaken? Or there was a cascading effect of infinite universes of me displacing the next one over so we all became slightly off-kilter upon Awakening. My studies have been focused elsewhere, but I'll do some cramming in the area of Time," she said with a sigh. Back to the basics again it seems."

Jeremiah Hamilton: Seeing that discomfort Jeremiah gave Hearth's hand a gentle squeeze and a smile, willing as always to support his cadremates when the need arose. He remained quiet for the moment, though, letting the two Guardians speak.

Vasily Tometchko: "I like the cascading replacement theory better. I fancy an ordered universe, myself, and that ends with a rather tidy one." Vasha's eager smile dims a bit as the topic turns from one of his obsessions. "If you ever wished my assistance in learning Time, I would be willing to teach. It lacks a lot of the personal pitfalls of fate magic, but is much more broadly ethically dangerous. I prefer to go over the ethics of Time before reviewing the metaphysics. Most Guardians intuit the moral risks involved, but even so. The offer stands."

Kayla Sockum: They emerge from a room with a set of stairs that goes to the basement, wearing a pair of jeans and a black sweater, flowers growing in their hair, eyebrows and lips turned to moss, fingernail turned to wood of some kind, probably yew.

They make their way into the kitchen, uninvited by Hearth, indicating that it is, indeed, Kay and not Lala the Ghost in disguise. "Hi, Sup?" they dip into the kitchen and pick a juice box and pluck the straw right in on the first try as they come back to the living room where they all seem to be. "Can help a tiny bit with Time."

Heather Williams: "I'm honored by your offer and gratefully accept." She inclined her head in deference. "Thank you. I like the solidity of Matter, but even such physically focused Arcana get a bit more wiggly with greater understanding." Hearth cast a smile to Kay and scooted over to make room on the couch. "Tea?" she offered to pour for Kay. Chocolate chip cookies were there as well.

Jeremiah Hamilton: Jeremiah smiled as Kay emerged into the living room, giving her a nod as she scooted off to the kitchen for a drink. He took a sip of his own tea in the meantime, moving a bit as needed to help give everyone room on the couch. "Hey Kay."

Vasily Tometchko: Vasha rises from his seat when Kayla arrives, a habit the uniform he is wearing demands. (Ukrainian special forces if one's up on their military trivia.) "Kayla," he greets politely.

He doesn't launch into explanations, himself. That's what their Cadre is for.

Kayla Sockum: "Yes for the tea, but I'm trying photosynthesizing today, so I'll tragically skip on the cookies." Kay responds with a nod, sitting next to Hearth. "Vasha, Jay, Heather." they smiled to them all, yawning a bit. "What's the topic?" they set the juice box aside, when offered the tea.

"Pleasure to see you again" spoken to Vasha in particular, a bright smile on the Moros.

Heather Williams: "That is so bizarre," Hearth murmured, but she poured a cup for Kay. "There was a Seer attack upon the Changelings, that Vasha managed to avert. I think they're gearing up for something big and targetting our allies first to try and isolate us from them."

Jeremiah Hamilton: "More for me, then." Jeremiah said with a smirk; of course he hadn't finished the first cookie he'd claimed yet, but the joke had to made. "That is pretty handy, though."

Hearth handled the recap better than Jeremiah could so he left it at that, simply nodding along.

Vasily Tometchko: "I believe it's been fully contained. No sleepers were harmed, and only a minimum of injuries were taken by our friends. It wasn't bloodless, I'm afraid. The seer used a one sided shared fate." Vasha then adds, "We worked around it. Anyway." He nods towards Kay's skin, "Very cool. You should show Fox."

He stays on his feet while Kay is likewise standing.

Kayla Sockum: "I did, actually, I even managed to grow one of the flower into a berry that they ate." A beat there, Kay has taken seat next to Hearth for a bit.

Their mood sobers slightly when the topic of a Seer getting caught up "That's great that they've been caught, but it's like roaches with these asshole, I can't imagine it was the only one of its group."

Heather Williams: Hearth nodded in agreement. "We're going to re-calibrate our wards, just in case." She pet Kay's flowery hair and shook her head with wonder. "Imagine how much we could get done without these distractions."

Jeremiah Hamilton: "Not a bad idea. Especially if more of them decide to pop up out of the woodwork." Jeremiah took a sip of his tea, smiling a touch at Hearth's petting. "Got a few things cooking away on that front. If I get them finalized quickly enough maybe we can weave them into the new warding as well."

Kayla Sockum: "Oh my god, I just thought of something." When Hearth pet the flowery hair, it feels like touching a normal flowers amidst some vegetation, even though the color remain dark "I could do a Poison Ivy out of myself and just having flytraps in my hair with some kind of biting attack when random people try to touch my hair." It doesn't seem like they're bothered at all with Hearth touching theirs at the moment.

"Sadly, I think they're more than a distraction." A shrug. "I do have a clear idea of what I'd like to do next, in terms of Magical efforts."

Vasily Tometchko: There's a faint crackle from Vasha's ear piece. He holds two fingers to his ear to press the ear piece a little more snuggly to his ear to pick up the message. Then his focus settles on his hosts, "Man is ready for me. I must be about my duties. Hearth, I will contact you about lessons, but I must be about my duties." With that, he offers a dip of his head to the assembled Soul Wardens, "Forward, comrades. I will see you soon." That said, he heads to the front door to collect his abandoned arsenal and head back out into the scary world.

Heather Williams: Hearth rose to walk him to the door. "Please mention that I would like to speak with him as soon as he's free," she murmured softly as he geared back up. "Thanks for coming by."

Jeremiah Hamilton: Jeremiah raised his tea cup in salute to Vasha as he got up. "Indeed. Have a good one."

Kayla Sockum: As Vasha leaves the Sanctum, Kay leans back into the seat and lets her cloud of spore fly about for a moment, closing their eyes, focusing on something as they sense the presence of their cadremate in the zone. "Mind if I show you two something, very safe, not even a spell?"

Heather Williams: "Is it part of your Legacy too?" Hearth asked curiously, once she'd locked the door and returned to the sofa.

Jeremiah Hamilton: "Color me intrigued." Jeremiah made an 'after you' motion with his free hand while taking a sip of his tea with the other.

Kayla Sockum: "Yes" they answer to Hearth "I've gone even further beyond now and I want to see if it works the way I think it does." Kay doesn't yet do anything, still awaiting for Hearth's agreement to it.

Heather Williams: Hearth gestured for Kay to continue.

Kayla Sockum: Kay focuses for a moment and after just a few seconds, both Sirius and Hearth can feel something strange on their body becomes sturdier and their own instinct sharpens in a way they never quite felt like before. As the Life armor attainment gets placed upon them. (+3 defense, 3/3 armor, use highest of wits or dex to calculate defense/ I.E. the Life Armor attainment)

Furthermore, Jeremiah feels the cup of tea in his hand in a strange fashion, like he can alter how fragile or study it is. (Matter 4 attainment)

Heather on the other hand, can feel something shift in her Peripheral sight, she can see the trace and presence of ghostly entities and makes it easier for her to spot ghost should she call on her death sight. (Death 2 attainment)

Heather Williams: Hearth bounced on her toes a bit, then broke into a grin. "This is fantastic! Congratulations on the accomplishment. It's really impressive that you can share it with others like this."

Jeremiah Hamilton: Jeremiah's eyebrow arched as the attainment settled into place, eyeing the tea cup curiously before setting it down and flexing the hand that had been holding it. "...huh."

He then looked to Kay with a grin of his own. "Awesome work. Congrats."

Kayla Sockum: Kay seems incredibly happy for a moment there and their grin brightens when her cadremates affirms that her attempt worked. "I can stop so many people from getting hurt with this, I can use it to teach the basis of what I know, I can... wow." she seems partially stunned at the possibilities. "Well, now I want to be able to learn every arcana at adepthood level."

Heather Williams: Hearth grabbed Kay up in a big hug and twirled around. "You should! It's a marvelous goal to have."

Kayla Sockum: "I think that means if you even need to cast a spell on an object, ask me first, I can pay a bit of Potentia to make it last longer without reaching, if you don't already have apprenticeship in Matter." they chuckle as they're spun around.
