Overview
Appearance: Myra is tall and very bulky/thick with both muscle and fat. Her skin is light brown and covered in freckles. Her eyes are a deep verdant green. Her hair, which is a very bright red auburn, looks like it hasn't been more than slightly trimmed in.... ever. Despite it being generally too wild to be properly held in anything (against all of her trying, and oh does she try with messy buns and loose braids and ponytails and the like), it looks well taken care of (suggesting, perhaps, a vanity she would never admit to). Overall, she looks like a big, tall, stronk mama bear who is ready to give hugs.
Personality: Myra is down-to-earth, calm, compassionate, wise, nurturing, a little bit snarky, and generally just chill – at least for the most part. All said, she tends to be the type of woman who takes no shit and is almost fearlessly stubborn in her ability to stand up for the sake of others and the things she believes in and is passionate about. She's also the kind of person to nurture and potentially unintentionally adopt half of the people she meets, wanting - if not needing - to care for someone or something other than herself.
On the flip side, she tends to lean towards being grumpy - especially with strangers. Myra does not trust easily, having been burned too often in the past. This does not mean that she is unkind to strangers, simply that she is short and judgmental with them.
Overall, Myra tends to be low energy and a little on the serious side - as if she's forgotten how to loosen up and allow herself have a good time. She holds herself up to unhealthily high standards.
Nimbus:
- Long-Term Nimbus: The earth around Myra seems to become richer - plants grow healthier and seem to hold more color.
- Immediate Nimbus: The feeling of dirt on your hands, under your fingernails, accompanied by the smell of vegetation and - you guessed it - nice, fresh dirt.
- Signature Nimbus: Bear Grass.
Public History
- Local lady. Comes from a family of Mages - in that both of her parents are, coincidentally, Mages.
- Went to Medical school for a short time
- Dropped out after a camping trip when she was 25 years old and went on to Do Her Own Thing after Awakening
- Flitted around as an Apostate for a while before joining the Children of the Tree
RP Hooks
- Local Healer... and other stuff Amongst the Mage Community at least, Myra is known as a Healer. Amongst more mundane folk - or folk who are not up-to-date on local Mages - Myra might be heard of as a masseuse, apothecary, and provider of lovingly grown honey and eggs.
- Occult Classic Alternatively, you might be able to find Myra in any of the local occult stores, botanicas, apothecaries, etc. Even in many bookstores! Ask her right, and she might even share knowledge and advice!
- Crime Pays, Botany Doesn't Rumor has it on the streets that some of the trees that have appeared in places throughout the city can be attributed to Myra. Mayhaps one day someone might come across her planting a sapling in a spot of greenery somewhere?
