Pious: She is, wherever she goes, an active participant in her faith and enjoys making connections with other people of faith regardless of which one it is. Activist: Nonviolence is only the beginning of her work. To her, it's all connected; the climate crisis and economic inequalities make conflicts increasingly likely and intense. Respecting the rights of the marginalized and disenfranchised prevents violence. She has been tear gassed, she has been kettled and bashed, she has been arrested; all while standing between those with weapons and those without. Do you think she's pushing for good causes, or do you think it's all rose-colored-glasses when you're living in a world this dark?
