Plain Writer: Aya is no mere reader of the Plain Blog, her own writings on the topic have earned her recognition, acclaim, and plenty of public speaking opportunities. Do you admire her pacifism, or think it to be naive and misguided?
Pious: She is, wherever she goes, an active participant in her faith and enjoys making connections with other people of faith regardless of which one it is. She can speak at length about a great many topics and relate them back to spiritual truths. Are you interested in hearing what she has to say, or do you think she's just helping sell empty promises?
Activist: Nonviolence is only the beginning of her work. To her, it's all connected; the climate crisis and economic inequalities make conflicts increasingly likely and intense. Respecting the rights of the marginalized and disenfranchised prevents violence. She has been tear gassed, she has been kettled and bashed, she has been arrested; all while standing between those with weapons and those without. Do you think she's pushing for good causes, or do you think it's all rose-colored-glasses when you're living in a world this dark?
