Courtless: Having only recently emerged from the Hedge, Anneliese is yet to pledge herself to a court, leaving her open to recruitment bribes and/or threats.

Lost in Time: A childhood in the 17th century meant Anneliese took longer than most changelings to accept that she had escaped, and that there was no going back to her old life.
