Log

The Postcognition spell showed the path to follow for a bit before it fizzle out of its limited duration. Leaving Kaminari two blocks away from where the terrible events had just occurred.

The rain falls heavy now, the winds blow harder than they did a moment ago and the combination makes it unpleasantly cold

Before her a stretch of street that flickered just seconds before her spell ended.

A single car drives through the nearby intersection, the sound of the music its blasting mostly covered by the rain and the wind, but there's some strong bass going on.

What is Kaminari if not a beast of the storm? As a beast of the storm this affords her some modicum of protection and by modicum one means full. Full protection from any Wind, fire, extreme cold, lightning, or other force of nature that might attempt to hinder her during her hunt. Spending 1 Potentia to activate The four dot Forces Attainment: Environmental Immunity

Izumi quickly makes her way towards an area that was significantly darker than any other and out of sight of any sleeper witnesses before she begins casting again

It's really not that complicated to find something away from onlookers, but, there's a lot of fences around the surrounding area. However, Kaminari manages to find an area behind a bus stops with absolutely no one and without an incoming bus ride that would spoil her hideaway.

The rain and the wind will cover whatever could be left.

Izumi begins to chant in high speech, softly to herself as she also invokes the power of the looming thunderstorm to further boost her spell's potency, and finally grasps the hilt of her golden storm, her connection to the Watchtower of the Golden Key. Her triple combined spell is woven together masterfully as she vanishes from sight both magical or otherwise. Her eyes now gleam the Time stream so she can pursue her prey without worry, for now. While invisible she invokes the power of the Watchtower of the Golden Key ONE last time to make her run fast. While now as masterfully woven as the last it still takes hold.

The Streetlights flickering ominously in the recent past certainly makes it simple for the Obrimos to track, even under the current conditions.

It keeps to the same stretch of road ahead for a rather significant portion of the trek ahead. The winds settle down a little bit, the rain does not however. The cold is biting and keeps most normal people away from the outside.

-Kaminari rushes along as she watches the flickering of the street lights, her trail still warm as she weaves expertly though any people in her way or literally jumping over them, if need be. She occasionally stops to double check the "footage" to ensure she isn't running into some kind of trap. She may be hasty but she's not foolish-

Kaminari does not, in fact, encounter many people during her trek across Fairhill and in a twist, that, no one would believe is an accident, the next time the lights flickers is a building. A bar, that's on the verge of closing hours.

It's a brick building, simple signs and all. Atlantis, the Lost Bar.

A couple walks out of it arms in arms, walking woozily from their evening and the door struggles to close due to the wind.

The building seems to houses apartments or at the very least some form of real estate above it.

-She stops at the front of the building, closes her eyes and then opens both of them as she activates Active Mage Sight (Forces + Prime and adding Matter for 1 Potentia) as she attempts to continue following the path laid out before her-

Through the lens of Matter, Force and Prime several things are revealed to Kaminari: The building is in acceptable condition and nothing seems particularly out of whack in terms of values. There is nothing on or around it that resonate as something that could potentially be useful to spellcasting, however, the flickering of the light seems to draw attention as the level of potential fire hazard raise a bit before they go down.

Further information, requires scrutiny and revelations

-Kaminari begins to move around as she follows what little information is currently a head of her, though she moves cautiously and does her best to stay out of the way of anyone in the area-

The sight of the bar blurs and blends behind and within the scrutiny of the Obrimos, the lights flickering, the power fluctuating, the direction of the flow, all of this hidden within layers of Matter.

At the end of her study, just as she starts withdrawing from the scrutinization to see the big picture to try her hand at a revelation.

A dark coil of shadows pours through the power within the building, leaving it unscathed, it rises from the depth of the building and... disappear from her sight?

The shadows flicker back into her sight, as her will overpower the concealing effect she's battling. She knows from her observation, this thing is likely at the bar or somewhere very close to it.

-Kaminari is not exactly the world's most patient lightning bolt and she is beginning to lose what little she has left. Thankfully she isn't a doctor or that'd be REALLY bad. She forces open her third eye in an attempt to locate the exact creature in the building and discover what it is-

At the bar, as per her earlier scrutiny, there is something attempting to conceal its nature, but Kaminari recognizes it for what it is: An abyssal creature in hiding, the same one that crossed path Jordan Ramsey and Greg earlier this evening.

-She starts to walk around the building in an attempt to find a window that would have a shot at the bar area in an attempt to get an actual eye on the entity-

This is very simple, as Kaminari knows exactly where to look and it is quite a surprise to see: Jordan Ramsey sporting the exact same, untorn pants and badge at his belt, leaning on the bar and conversing with a barkeep that looks done with this shift.

-Since she is at a window, Kaminari takes out her phone, zooms in on Jordan and takes a picture of him with it.-

-Kaminari ops to wait a while to see what happens, in the rain because to be honest? She likes the rain, who'da thought?-

The bar closes about 20 minutes later and so does the conversation between the Barkeep and Jordan Ramsey, he excuse himself to go to the bathroom and the very second that the door to the bathroom closes, Kaminari feels the entity vanishes from all of her supernatural senses.

Not that it is hidden from her sight, the Abyssal entity is just gone in much the same way it did after disposing of the original Jordan Ramsey.

-She glances around for any flickering lights once more to see if the entity keeps it's MO-

Kaminari searches her surrounding and after a while, she's certain as she can be that no, this particular entity is not particularly beholden to a single MO.

She does notice easily when the Barkeep comes out from the front and locks the door. A young man with shaved hair, a lot of piercings, skinny, gothy.

She can also hear, and realize that the rest of the employees have left through the back door.

no signs of Jordan

-She ducks out to move and change her outfit as she was certainly not prepared to have a conversation with a NORMAL person. Moving to go cast something so I look UGH normal-

-Izumi makes sure to create an outfit that is "fitting" for the current situation and then moves so she's able to come around a corner and "bump" into the barkeeper-

"Oh shit, sorry!" His voice is particularly deep for the rather skinny appearance. "Everything okay?"

"Oh no, that's completely my fault, I wasn't watching where I was going. Looks like I just missed closing. Well shit. I was going to try and meet someone here. But looks like you're closed, yeah?"

"Yeah, we even closed a bit later, some cop had some questions" The air quote are audible "No one's in the building right now. Sorry."

"Wait why would a cop have some questions? Did you hear what he was asking?"

"yeah, I was the one he was talking to." A shrug. "I'm not sure, he was looking for some corporate scumbag that works for the PPD."

"Like, it's supposedly part of a big fucking sting or someshit. The guy sound like an amateur."

"Hey, if you're on foot, I could give you a ride to your place or some place?" The guy hits a button on his key and a nearby hyundai accent comes to life.

"Those guys have really been fucking things up around here lately, if you ask me. You didn't happen to catch the name of the person he was looking for did you?" -She starts walking with him towards the car-

"No he just had a description of a guy, he's working with almost nothing, probably because that's what he has for brain." the guy opens his passenger door and runs around to his own side. "Was your date a corporate shill tonight? Worried you'll get bagged in too?"

Clearly it's suggested in jest.

"Yeah, millionaire like all my dates. The problem is they got money but can't be bothered with using it to buy a book to figure out how to have a genuine conversation with another human being without thinking they're below them just because their pay check is missing a few extra zero's at the end, you know?"

"Fantastic, and they tip like shit too." Puts the key in and starts to drive. "I'll need an address or at least a place where to drop you."

"I mean they can't spare it, it goes to whoever is helping hide most of their money. Yeah I live at . . . (rattles off address). What's your name, maybe I can catch you next time you got a shift or something, I'm Umi."

"Name's Xavier." Xavier says as he starts to drive through the rain soaked street. "Atlantis will welcome you, I'm sure."
