Overview

Appearance: Myra is tall and very bulky/thick with both muscle and fat. Her skin is light brown and covered in freckles. Her eyes are a deep verdant green. Her hair, which is a very bright red auburn, looks like it hasn't been more than slightly trimmed in.... ever. Despite it being generally too wild to be properly held in anything (against all of her trying, and oh does she try with messy buns and loose braids and ponytails and the like), it looks well taken care of (suggesting, perhaps, a vanity she would never admit to). Overall, she looks like a big, tall, stronk mama bear who is ready to give hugs.

Personality: Myra is down-to-earth, calm, compassionate, wise, nurturing, a little bit snarky, and generally just chill – at least for the most part. All said, she tends to be the type of woman who takes no shit and is almost fearlessly stubborn in her ability to stand up for the sake of others and the things she believes in and is passionate about. She's also the kind of person to nurture and potentially unintentionally adopt half of the people she meets, wanting - if not needing - to care for someone or something other than herself.

On the flip side, she tends to lean towards being grumpy - especially with strangers. Myra does not trust easily, having been burned too often in the past. This does not mean that she is unkind to strangers, simply that she is short and judgmental with them.

Myra also grapples with depression on a near daily basis. Her sense of self-worth is sometimes pretty low despite her outward confidence, though not quite as low as her energy level is. She does seem to be tired and drained more often than not, though this does not stop her from stubbornly pushing herself to the point of it being unhealthy.

Public History

Eldest daughter of a Norwegian bookbinder and a Cuban-American chef, born 1988.
Known in hometown for strangeness - odd abilities, odd habits, odd family.
Went to medical school a few years after graduating high school.
Dropped out most of the way through her medical degree, citing agitation at the healthcare system as main reason.
Begins own business of freelance massage therapy and herbal/holistic apothecary. Uses 'psychic' abilities to benefit herself and others during these ventures.
Ends up sliding neck deep into local occult community, eventually (after a long while of consideration and deliberation and being a stubborn goat) joining The Mind's Eye Society.
