Site Policies/XP Policy

Characters on From Dusk Till Jawn may gain a maximum of 6 experiences per month, in the form of:

1. 3 experiences per month awarded automatically at the start of the month
2. 3 experiences per month through Beats earned either as the character through roleplay, or by running plot scenes for other characters.

Also, new characters begin play with XP equal to 35 + an amount equal to the value of monthly automatic XP awards they would have gained if they had begun play in April 2020. E.g. a character created in April of 2020 (when the game opened) would start with 38 (35 + 3 for April of 2020). A character created in April of 2021 would begin play with 74 (equal to 35 + 39 for 13 months = 74)
