General Information

 Parent Clan/Covenant: Daeva

 Sobriquet: Patrons

 Source: Requiem, p. 246

Disciplines: Celerity, Majesty, Vigor and Dominate

Bloodline Gift: Muse Effect

Anyone who’s tasted Toreador vitae gains true artistic talent. They receive the Rote permutation on any dice roll to create art, so long as they possess a Specialty in whatever roll they are attempting. This effect lasts for a number of hours equal to the Toreador’s Blood Potency, and can become addictive in its own right.

Bloodline Bane

The secret shame of the Patrons is their inability to create truly great artwork. Whenever attempting to create art of their own the Toreador can not gain the benefit of any dice permutations (10 again, rote, etc). Despite this flaw, the Toreador are still obsessed with art, and whenever confronted with an Exceptional art object or performance, they gain the Distracted Condition as the feelings evoked haunt them for one night per dot of Blood Potence.

Devotions

Invective of the Harpy (Majesty ••, Dominate ••)

Many a words have been spoken about the power of the Toreador Harpies. With this Devotion, they ring unbearably true. The Toreador speaks a few harsh words to a target, and the Devotion does the rest.

 Cost: 2 vitae, 1 willpower

Dice Pool: Manipulation + Socialize + Majesty vs Composure + Blood Potency

 Action: Contested, resistance is Reflexive

 Failure: Nothing happens.

Success: For a number of days equal to the Toreador’s Blood Potency, the target’s Status in that particular organization is reduced by a number equal to the successes rolled, to a minimum of 0. This does not affect the target’s literal standing in the organization, it does not demote them, but it does lower their value in the eyes of their peers and cause their peers to lose respect for them, usually due to unfounded (or founded) jealousy or resentment, represented by the removal of bonus dice granted by said Status.

Exceptional Success: If the Toreador rolls an Exceptional Success, the effect lasts for their Blood Potency in weeks. A person cannot be targeted by Invective of the Harpy again for a month after the effect has worn off.

This Devotion costs 2 Experience.

Self Portrait (Dominate •••, Vigor ••)

This Devotion helps them stave off the Beast for a little while by chaining it up within a work of art. The Toreador picks a work of art which must be truly special to them. The player spends 1 Willpower point and 2 Vitae, and rolls Presence + Subterfuge + Dominate - their own Blood Potency (+2 if the work of art is a Touchstone). For a number of hours equal to [10 - Blood Potency], their Beast becomes chained to the work of art, and the Kindred is free of its influences: they will not Frenzy regardless of the stimuli.

Of course, they also cannot use the Beast to their advantage, either: they cannot Lash Out, and cannot retaliate against another vampire Lashing Out, and they cannot induce their own Frenzies. Anyone experiencing the work of art while the Beast is leashed within it suffers as if the vampire themselves had Lashed Out, and if the target is another Kindred, they may retaliate, and if they win, the Toreador suffers the outcome when they reintegrate with their Beast.

To reintegrate with their Beast, the Toreador must experience the work of art (view the painting, listen to the song) within the time frame allotted. For every hour past the due time they do not, they lose 1 Willpower point; in addition, past the due time, they cannot regain Willpower until they reclaim their Beast.

This Devotion costs 2 Experiences.

Discipline Infusion (Dominate •••)

When creating a piece of art, a Patron may empower it with a bit of their Kindred power. Whenever creating art, she may spend a variable amount of vitae and infuse her creation with the first two levels of Dominate. The commands must be pre-determined and will be the same to all witnesses of her creation. The piece of art will affect a number of people equal to the vitae spent before it loses it's power, or one week per dot of the Toreador's Blood Potency, whatever happens first.

This Devotion costs 2 Experiences.

Toro, Toro (Majesty ••)

Inspired by their Bloodline founder's love of bullfighting, this simple Devotion increases the ability of the Toreador to remain safe from harm. Whenever Dodging the Toreador may spend one vitae to subtract their Majesty from the opponent's attack pool.

This Devotion costs 1 Experience.
