Adam Harken/Introduction
Overview-A Mastigos Gaurdian who works through the Media to cultivate a challenge to the Lie
History- Born to a well to do family in Los Angeles, Adam had a decent life on the surface. He went to good schools and was better off than most kids, but the home life, between his father beating him and his mother or going out drinking, had a lot to be desired, but they played the part of a happy family well enough. He joined a school play of Faust to impress a girl but as he studied for the role of Mephistopheles, something happened. As he studied the role he became more and more immersed with the character, forgetting himself and becoming lost in the part
As the day of the play came upon him, he felt himself being taken control of by the role, horrified a the loss of self as he acted on stage, his classmates on set started to look more and more like walking marionettes than people, and the audience disappeared, only eyes of red could be seen from the shadows around him. He was terrified of losing himself, of being another actor directed by unseen hands but at the same time reveled in the fear and temptation brought by the role of Mephisto.
As he performed he realized, his whole life was just one role and he was the actor, acting out the day to day monotony of a giant Lie,. After his awakening he was found by mages, his mentor Kirk teaching him of the Path of Mastigos and the Guardians of the Veil, he took the Shadow Name Thespis, the actor. It was in Kirks cadres where he met Kim. It was a whirlwind romance between the Mastigos and Moros but it burned bright, ten years later it died out. It was supposed to be a simple recovery of an artifact but the Seers were waiting, Kim had sold them out and they were wiped out, only he survived, of course his relationship with the traitor was a black mark. After that he met a Goetia, N'kai, who he persuaded to aid him as a familiar, the succubus was interested in the desire shifting to hatred and agreed, eager to watch this tragedy play out. After five years of slow distrust growing, he was encouraged to leave LA. Now he moves to the east to establish a new role for himself.
Appearance-Adam looks like someone who works in entertainment, meaning young and attractive. With messy shoulder length brown hair and easy going eyes, he's been known to charm plenty of folks, good for business really. He maintains a fit figure and is proud of the abs he's developed. Sometimes though when people look into his eyes for two long, one can get the feeling of staring at a pool of water, with only your reflection looking back.
Personality-Adam is an easygoing guy,he wants his clients to be happy. He parties hard and crashes gracefully, want a role in a show or movie, we'll discuss it over some blow and whiskey. This is the mask Thespis likes to wear, underneath the mask of Adam is a serious man whose willing to take any action to succeed in his goals and bring as many people closer to their own awakenings as he can, and the one's who can't make the cut, well at least he'll have a handful of friends in the right places. Adam has faults, lots of them, but why should he seek to improve them? Way he see's it, he doesn't deserve to be able to be a better person but to help other to improve, when the Hieromagus comes, he'll be be given what his actions have deserved.
