Aya's story is known around the world, the granddaughter of wealthy family from Jordan that made its money from brokering oil sales with Iraq and the profit that price shocks from global conflict would bring, she had graduated high school early and went to Harvard to study international relations when her study abroad group was caught in the crossfire of one of those same conflicts.
