Charlie Miller/Introduction

At first glance, Charlie looks like your average sleep deprived twenty-something. And to most people that's all she is. A pretty (if rumpled) face staring out the window of a bus, with a frequent twitch of some kind. For those who can pin her down and talk to her for more than a brief moment, a different picture starts to form. They find her to be a nervous girl, constantly worried about something that could be happening, always looking around just in case and convinced that everything she does or says is wrong. Get her talking about something she's passionate about and you get a third Charlie. One who desperately wants everyone to see how far she's come and how much better she is than just a toy on a shelf.

Mask

Her whole look could be described as, "take better care of yourself, please." Messy red hair shaved into a crappy floppy undercut, jewel green eyes tarnished by dark racoonish bags and lots of t-shirts and sweatpants with the occasional pair of ripped black jeans for formal events. No matter the season or the weather, she always wears her jean jacket, the thing she went through the woods to hide from her mom all those years ago. Occasionally she'll wear a silver cross necklace, but whenever she does, she finds herself unable to stop fiddling with it no matter how much she hates that she's doing it and how much everyone is staring at her. Furthermore, she's almost always moving. She's constantly fidgeting or twitching, just so she knows she still can. Even if she's holding hands or something where movement might not fit, she still blinks rapidly.

Mien

When viewed without her mask, Charlie resembles a fancy statue of an angel. She appears to be made of solid alabaster crisscrossed with veins of gold. A pair of white wings with carved feathers have been sown into her back and while they can flap, they're useless for just about everything else. A solid gold halo "floats" above her head, held aloft by stiff wires attached to fish-hooks that pierce her skull.

Mantle

Her mantle has evolved from its former winter trick of the light to a faint feeling around her of nostalgia for a time when you were a kid sitting in the shade on a hot day after running around.
