The Green Room

Log

Jeremiah Hamilton: The Green Room was relatively quiet as we set our scene, the day's band having wrapped up their set and the customers working on their meals and carrying on their conversations. Jeremiah was at his usual table near the office door, one earbud in and nodding along to whatever he was listening to as he tapped away at the laptop sitting in front of him. The bane of paperwork, a battle one never truly finishes...

Valeria Rolan-Ruiz: As the rush finished, Val was able to clock out. Unfortunatly that meant she missed the band but hey! She got to make her own dinner with her employee discount. As she exited the kitchen, now sans apron, she looked around for an open spot to sit.

Jeremiah Hamilton: Spotting Val emerge from the kitchen Jeremiah offered a smile, tilting his head towards the other seats at his table for her to join him if she wished.

Valeria Rolan-Ruiz: She pauses, then shrugs and comes to join.

"Heya boss. How's...whatever you're working on?"

Jeremiah Hamilton: "Paperwork, so boring as usual. Needs to get done, though." He took a moment to pause the music and put the earbud back in its case, giving Val a quick once-over. "How are you feeling?"

Valeria Rolan-Ruiz: "Ew, paperwork. This is why I never wish to be a manager. No offense."

She bites her lip.

"Pretty decent. It's the end of the month so pretty bleh, and as usual suffering from the consequences of my actions. Sooooooo...pretty much the usual."

Jeremiah Hamilton: "None taken."

He listened intently as she answered, a note of concern at the 'consequences' bit. "Is it anything I can help with?"

Valeria Rolan-Ruiz: "I'm glad. Can we offend the paperwork?"

A pause...oh yeah...this man was a Mage.

"Wait...can you? Ya know what nevermind."

She worries at her lip more.

"Mayyybe. Like I wouldn't say no to you helping, I just dont actually know if you can, ya know?"

Jeremiah Hamilton: "That would be nice, wouldn't it." He chuckled, a small smile forming as she mulled over his offer. "Possibly. Want to talk in the office?"

Valeria Rolan-Ruiz: "Is this a ploy to get out of paperwork?"

She chuckles.

"Sure, why not. Can I bring my sammich?"

A gesture at the sandwich.

Jeremiah Hamilton: "...maybe." He smirked, saving what was on the screen and closing the laptop to carry with him before moving to stand. "Of course."

Valeria Rolan-Ruiz: She chuckles.

"I see right through your nefarious plans."

She picks up her plate to travel with!

"So yeah, surprising no one I did a bit of a stupid. And no it wasn't kissing Olivia in the hallway to the bathroom again. No more PDA, yeah yeah."

Jeremiah Hamilton: "Mr. Cellophane, at your service." He grinned, leading the way into the office. "Eh...within reason." He added, claiming his seat by the desk and letting her get comfortable. "So, what happened?"

Valeria Rolan-Ruiz: A cackle.

"A wonderful villian name."

A chuckle.

"Uh...so I got the Kindred ability that makes me really tough, right?"

Jeremiah Hamilton: "Mmhmm..." He nodded, watching her curiously.

Valeria Rolan-Ruiz: A slightly embarassed look.

"I uh...sorta realized I don't know my limits...and offered my wrist to an Elder that struggles with realizing human limits...........so may have given too much."

She scratches the back of her hair.

"Like, I'm fine. I didn't get anemic, just loopy."

Jeremiah Hamilton: That concerned look came back once again with her answer, with Jeremiah giving her a slow nod. "That's good, at least, and now you know for the future."

"I should be able to repair what aftereffects are still lingering, if you'd like."

Valeria Rolan-Ruiz: "Yeah, already had a talking to from Vin and a gentle prod from Guy about being healthy about it. Knowing when to stop is uh...not my strong points."

She nods.

"Like...fix my red blood cell count? Yeah, that would be nice. Whats funny, er well I guess not funny but cool is that I probably gave enough blood to kill or severely harm most people but like...I'm perfectly fine. Just a little tired like when I donate blood."

Jeremiah Hamilton: "That's a definite plus."

"I'm going to look you over real quick to see how much needs to be replenished, it may be a little intense."

Valeria Rolan-Ruiz: "Sure! Go ahead. Er...intense how?"

Jeremiah Hamilton: "It's a deep dive into your metaphysical being, although in this case it'll be focused on your current health and any toxins you may have in your system at the moment."

Valeria Rolan-Ruiz: "Aight, that works, yep. I'm ready whenever."

Jeremiah Hamilton: Jeremiah nodded, his gaze becoming unfocused as he looked her over through the lens of the greener path of the Primal Wilds. He sat up straighter once the extent of the remaining damage made itself clear, his eyebrows shooting up in shock, and it took a moment for him to find his voice again. "If I didn't know about the strengthening from the blood you've received, I'd be wondering how the hell you're currently mobile, let alone able to work the last few days."

Valeria Rolan-Ruiz: She stares back, sticking at her tongue at the look, then chuckling.

She bites her lip at his reaction.

"Yeahhhh....the past uh....4ish days have been a bit tiring. 3 and a half...no...yes? Time with late nights is weird. Anyway yeah, Ima pretty tough bitch....and may have overdone it a bit."

She chuckles nervously.

Jeremiah Hamilton: "Just a little...I'd be completely knocked on my ass if I was as drained as you are right now, let alone when it happened." He shook his head, tugging the necklace from under his shirt to reveal the bronze serpent pendant that hung from it. "How much you give in that circumstance is your choice, of course, but...be careful. I wouldn't want to see you at a point where you can't bounce back."

Valeria Rolan-Ruiz: "Most people would. I think me without resilience would. So uh...yeah, learned my lesson. Don't give that much."

She nods.

"You hired an addict.....sometimes I can't stop myself from this stuff."

Jeremiah Hamilton: "I know. Doesn't mean I won't worry." He closed his eyes and rubbed the back of the pendant with his thumb, speaking softly in the odd tongue she had likely heard Tommy use before, something she could almost understand but slipped through her fingers a moment later. With a brief push of will the spell clicked into place, her body swiftly replenishing what had been drained from it.

Valeria Rolan-Ruiz: "I appreciate that you worry."

She listens to the language but it makes absolutely no sense, and then a slight gasp of relief as clarity hits her. Who knew that blood was important?

"That feels way better, thanks! But yeah, this is why Tommy's gonna remove my addictions to the stuff when I go abroad for tryouts."

Jeremiah Hamilton: "Sounds like a good idea." He nodded, sitting back in his seat as he tucked the pendant back under his shirt. "If they're not able to for whatever reason, let me know and I can do it for you."

Valeria Rolan-Ruiz: She nods.

"I got no clue how it works but hey, if you do cool. Got a back up."

A nod.

"Just uh...don't want that withdrawl fucking me up during tryouts."

Jeremiah Hamilton: "I get that. Need to have all your focus on the competition." (edited)

Valeria Rolan-Ruiz: "Exactly."

She nods.

"Thanks again though, I appreciate it. I shouuuuuuld probably get going though."

Jeremiah Hamilton: "You're welcome." He replied with a smile. "If you need anything down the line, let me know. Have a good night."
