The Arboretum of the Martyr's Tree

Log

Jeremiah Hamilton: It had been a while since Jeremiah had come to the Arboretum itself rather than just passing through to the consilium hall, and on this particular afternoon he decided to change that. The Warlock had found a bench to claim for himself and just relax, dressed casually in jeans and a black shirt with "It's a Beautiful Day To Respect People's Pronouns" done in a bubbly font and pastel rainbow colors along with a pair of chunky black glasses to round out the ensemble.

Thespis: Thepis was already in the Arboretum for some time, currently laying down on a bench with a book over his head, 'The Hellbound Heart," and was currently napping. He was wearing a black polo shirt and khaki's.

Kenzie: The little MPW (Manic Pixie Witch) had made her way to the Arboretum to reflect with mer more natural side of life. Despite the cold and threat of snow, the little witch shuns her jacket for now as she is dressed in a white short sleeved dress with black boots, hat and belt. As she moves through the area she is lightly singing -Rio- by Duran Duran as her walk was more of a dance. No bag today for the camera and no skateboard in sight.

Simone Gratz: Simone is a regular visitor to the Arboretum, but for someone who joined the Children of the Tree despite having a master who was (at the time) a Guardian of the Veil that's probably not the slightest surprise for people who know them both. She's wearing a cream colored turtleneck and black jeans today, with a coat over both to make it a little more tolerable to be outside in the Philly weather without a good understanding of Forces. When she steps in she moves slightly to one side of the door and then just stops to look at the tree for a moment, smiling a fond if someone lopsided smile in its direction. For the moment she doesn't really seem to take notice of any of the people, even the singing one.

Jeremiah Hamilton: The music naturally caught Jeremiah's attention, watching Kenzie for a moment or two before joining in on the harmony. Even for a silly little sing-along his performance was near perfect, a quiet mark of his beyond-mortal grasp of the craft.

Thespis: Said singing does stir Thespis from his slumber, "Please, tell me I've been transported to the Rio Grande," he muttered as he removed the book from his face and rubbed his eyes, "Well, at least the chose a perfect band." he chuckled

Kenzie: She smiles as Jeremiah joins in. The joint singing pulls her closer as she danced happily and freely with song. She did go a tad louder now as well as she had someone joining in.

Simone Gratz: Eventually, in a matter of maybe fifteen seconds, Simone stops being distracted by the tree and starts paying attention to other things going on, primarily the singing. When she looks over and sees one of the sources of that sound she laughs, finding delight in it and no surprise, and her feet start moving again to bring her in that direction.

Jeremiah Hamilton: Jeremiah smiled as Kenzie sashayed his way, sliding off of the bench and offering a hand to dance together while keeping with the song.

Thespis: Thespis sat up on the benched and hummed what would have been the instrumental bits, adding to the two singers, tapping the bench with his hands as well

Kenzie: She took the offered hand freely, slipping in to dance with Jeremiah while they sang. Her hips swaying. feet move with the beat and soul of the song. She did eventually spot Thespis and Simone and she blushes a bit but smiles before she kept up with Jeremiah and the song.

Simone Gratz: Simone gives a little nod to Thespis, but wanders over to near Jeremiah and Kenzie to watch them perform. She gives Kenzie a laughing smile when she's noticed, and only laughs harder when she sees the blush, but keeps the volume down enough not to be interrupting things. Clearly there's no hurry here, take your time, she's enjoying the show.

Jeremiah Hamilton: The Warlock proved himself to be an impeccable dance partner, moving smoothly in time with the music and matching her energy easily. As the song came to an end he smiled warmly, running a hand through his hair. "That was fun. Haven't done that in a minute."

Thespis: "One of the greatest bands ever." Thespis muttered standing up and joining them, walking over to stand beside Simone, "And one of their best songs, although I've always been more partial to Hungry Like The Wolf." he smiled

Kenzie: "Glad I could be of service." She says after a bow to her partner and a bow to the small audience. "Well Don't you just look totally adorable today!" She said to Simone with another sweet smile. She rolls her eyes at Thespis. "They have two good songs. Name any others!"

Simone Gratz: Simone applauds softly when they finish dancing and singing, then laughs again, something she does pretty readily, when Thespis remarks about that being one of the greatest bands. "Debatable," she says with an impish smile. "I'm not necessarily saying that I disagree, just that your opinion is debatable. Like most opinions, right?"

"Every day," she tells Kenzie. "Even on the days where I don't feel like doing anything but rolling out of bed in old pajamas and never even brush my hair. I'm sure you understand how it is, right?" This is followed by a little wink. "The Chauffeur," she says. "Probably the one I've heard the most covers of out there." She starts tallying on her fingers. "Sneaker Pimps, Sleepthief, Tre Lux, The Endparty, Deftones, the list goes on."

Jeremiah Hamilton: Jeremiah gave a little bow at the applause, smiling as he straightened back out. "Ordinary World is pretty good too. Got me through a rough patch."

Thespis: "Save a Prayer," Thespis added with a nod, "Queen, Journey, Duran Duran, this is the holy trinity of the nineteen eighties." he said as if giving sage like wisdom, turning to Simone, "I am fully ready to defend my stance with a debate if you so wish." he smiled

Kenzie: "Why does everyone always want to speak Greek to me? I don't know Greek." She teases Simone with an inside joke no one but Kenzie was in on. "Though I believe it is custom to have flowers thrown at you after you perform---" She looks around like John Travolta in the wallet meme. "But I also hear if one doesnt have flowers, kissing works as well."

"Queen sure, Duran Duran, maaaaybe. Journey is over rated and over played like Aerosmith. Def Leppard doesn't get nearly enough love. Neither does A flock of Seagulls."

Simone Gratz: "Debatable," Simone says again, laughing. "There are a lot of options to choose from. Bon Jovi, for instance." She moves toward Kenzie, not laughing out loud but definitely wearing some laughter in her expression, and when she gets to the other Acanthus she says, "well, I don't have flowers, so..." she puts her hands on Kenzie's hips and pulls her in for a kiss.

Thespis: "Listen, sure their overplayed, but their still great, and Aerosmith did the better version of Come Together. . is it heresy to say I don't care for the Beatles?"

Kenzie: She grins wickedly before accepting the kiss, and kisses back. "I can get down to some John Bon Jovi. Though, I doooo have to admit, I like the 90's more. Scrubs, Wannabe, Get some En Vogue in there too. Nirvana and Pearl Jam. I wont lie, I even rock out to Limp Bizket when I just wanna trash."

"I still stand by Dread Zepplin." Evil smirk.

Jeremiah Hamilton: Jeremiah chuckled as Kenzie asked for a kiss and received one from Simone, reclaiming his seat on the bench. "I'll listen to just about anything, honestly. You never know what gems you might find out there."

"Jay, by the way," he added to the unfamiliar faces. "Sirius if we're getting formal."

Simone Gratz: "Oh, the nineties were great for music," Simone agrees as she steps back from Kenzie, but lingers close and smiles as she looks the other Acanthus in the eyes. "Although I thought you meant the TV show Scrubs at first, and I was thinking 'what? that's the 2000s, and wasn't a music thing'." She laughs, then turns to incline her head Jay's way. "Nice to meet you, Jay. I'm Simone, or Zirnitsa sometimes, and if you're wondering why I look really familiar, that probably means you've met my older sibling, Little Fox."

Kenzie: "Heard the name, nice to see the face. Kenzie, or Aperture if formal. Admittedly I am not often formal." She grins a bit. She spots something in the corner of her eye and the Acanthus wanders off---- Someone needs to leash this girl"

Thespis: "Nineties where pretty good, and the early 2000's had some decent hits," he nods and starts to sing, "Chill out, what ya yellin' for?, Lay back, it's all been done before ,And if, you could only let it be, you will see," he chuckled, "God, I'm never going to get that tune out of my head."

Jeremiah Hamilton: "I did catch the resemblance." He nodded to Simone with a smile, then Kenzie before she wandered off. "Good to meet you both."

"One of her better songs, for sure."

Simone Gratz: Simone watches Kenzie while she wanders off, at least for a few seconds, and then lets her attention come back to the conversation at hand. With a soft clearing of her throat and a smile full of mischief, but not a hint of a blush. "I think that people have always been making great music, and will keep doing so for as long as we're around," she says. "That's just a part of human expression, and it's not likely to change."

Thespis: "So, how have you two been doing?"

Jeremiah Hamilton: "Agreed." He nodded to Simone with a small smile. "I can't imagine my life without music, honestly."

"Pretty well, all told. Had a few good conversations lately with someone who works with the local Bound, should be meeting with her again soon."

Simone Gratz: "Music isn't my thing so to speak, it's not where my real talent is, but it's definitely a passion of mine. It's there for pretty much everything I do, an important part of my life in one way or another, even if I'm not a musician." Simone smiles at Jeremiah. "I can't imagine life without it either." She looks at Thespis, then at Jay. "Bound?"

Thespis: Thespis shrugs, not sure of the term himself

Jeremiah Hamilton: "It's been my thing for most of my life. Went to school for it, tried to get famous for it with rather disastrous results, and currently help to mentor others to make it their own."

"I believe Sin-Eaters is the more formal term. I know they're more involved with the dead than the Underworld overall, although I haven't spoken with one myself lately."

Simone Gratz: "Got it!" Simone nods, putting a few pieces together. "I've heard of them, but I don't know much about them beyond the superficial. I've never met one, at least as far as I know, and I don't do much with the dead or the Underworld. There are a few Arcana that I've just never been drawn to, and Death is one of them."

Thespis: "I'm an initiate of Death, it can be useful." He nodded, "I tried acting before becoming an Agent, was in a few flicks but found I'm better at networking."

Jeremiah Hamilton: "That, Spirit and Time are the only ones I haven't touched on yet. I did take the first step with Fate recently, though, which was interesting."

Kenzie: Kenzie makes her way back to the group. Happy as can be. She has a tray of milkshakes for the four of them, and a flower crown on her head. She offers a cup to each of them. "Sorry about that, I uh, saw something then I got in the mood for some shakes." She didnt mention the new flower crown on her head or how she got that.

Simone Gratz: Simone laughs. "Time is my best Arcanum, and Spirit is tied for second," she says with a shrug. People have different specialties. That's just how it is! She takes one of the milkshakes from Kenzie with a smile and a, "thank you kindly. Where did you even get these from, Princess?"

Thespis: Thespis took a vanilla, "Thank you mah queen." He said in best Jon Snow impression, "Matter, Prime, Life, and Spirit I lack, Mind is my best, mastery over it." He smiled

Jeremiah Hamilton: Jeremiah perked up at the sight of the milkshake, claiming whichever looked like the most fruit-heavy of the lot. "I definitely get those kind of moods. Got a major sweet tooth myself."

"It's always interesting to see how folks develop magically over time, even in the same path. I personally branched out over a number of discipleships rather than go straight for Mastery in my preferred fields, but it's worked pretty well so far."

Kenzie: "Uhhhh--- Pretty sure some festival for the lost. They officially crowned me their De Facto Manic Pixie Witch Princess, but it has no real power or authority. Just title. Think that would be usable in the Assembly?" She joked happily before taking her own shake to drink. "Time and newly Fate master. Prime, space and life I am about even on and matter after that."

Simone Gratz: "Oh, yeah, that makes sense," Simone says with an absolutely straight face. "I think you meant to say that the position has no power or authority yet, though. I'm sure you'll find a way to make something of it." She takes a drink from the shake and nods her approval. "I'm only just out of my apprenticeship, so the fact that I'm already and Adept of Time seems decent enough to me. I'll get there eventually. I know a little bit of more Arcana than not, too. Lesja made sure I had a pretty well rounded skill set."

Thespis: "Disciple of Space and Forces, apprentice of Time, initiate of Death and Fate." He lists, "Learned Forces for the combat uses," he took out his lighter, "Always armed."

Jeremiah Hamilton: "Very impressive," he nodded to Simone, taking a sip of his shake as the others went through their pedigrees. "And congrats on the new mastery," he added to Kenzie, lifting the cup in a toast.

"Master of Mind and Space, Adept of Forces, Life and Prime, Disciple of Matter and newly-minted Initiate of Fate."

Kenzie: "Shhhh, giving away all my seeeecreeeets!" She playfully whined to Simone.

"You should learn Matter." She said dead panned to Thespis. "They have a rote where you can alter conductivity and with a weeee bit of forces well--- cant forget to plug in the toaster that way." She grins oh so brightly.

She looks back to Simone and kisses her cheek. "Its not a race, its a shitty game of Golf. You play the course, not the other golfers."

"I want to get into spirit, but also, I feel like I would need to read more too."

Simone Gratz: "That's a good way to put it," Simone says after tilting her cheek for easier access on Kenzie's part. She puts her hand around the waist of the other Acanthus, while still holding her shake in the other hand. "I'm making progress, and as long as I continue to improve, then I'm content with that. I've been getting a little sidetracked recently, too. In ways I'm not too sure about, honestly." She shrugs, since there's nothing to be done for it, as far as she knows.

"Spirit is fun," she says. "I think I would have made a good Thyrsus, if I wasn't a better Acanthus. Life and Spirit both call to me, but Spirit more so. It interests me enough that I'm already a Disciple! I haven't had to do all that much reading, though."

Thespis: "Thinking in starting Life or Prime next, Life probably to avoid certain issues," he taps his pocket with some cigarettes, "Don't want to end up like Constantine."

Kenzie: She leans into the slightly shorter Simone happily. "Dude, you totally would. Lets be Thyrus together yeah? Wanna teach me some Spirit?" She grins happily.

Jeremiah Hamilton: "Sidetracked how, if you want to say?" He inquired to Simone, smirking at the Matter mention from Kenzie. "Is it weird for me to admit that I went into Matter because with the right degree of Life as well you can pull a Honey I Shrunk The Kids? One of my cadremates showed me that and blew my mind."

Simone Gratz: "Lesja made sure that I knew enough Prime to be able to hide my own spells, for safety sake," Simone tells everyone with a smile. "It was a requirement as part of my apprenticeship, and with everything that's come up lately with those Mark II's and everything? I can't say that she was wrong to insist on it." She laughs and leans her head briefly on Kenzie's shoulder. "Trying to be a Thyrsus would probably just result in me doing an impression of my sister. Fox is very good at it, and I admire her, but I could never be her, which I mean as a compliment. But I would teach you Spirit, if you like."

She gives Jeremiah a brief, considering look, then nods and says, "I seem to be getting called to a Legacy. It's very insistent and doesn't seem to want to take no for an answer, and I'm not sure I want to say no anyway."

Thespis: Thespis just stood and listened, not sure what to add to convo but not wanting to change their topic

Kenzie: "Ooooh, that is awesome. I--- I lack any and all direction. I get lost trying to find the kitchen in my own house." She grins a bit. "I would love to learn with you and teach you some of what I know, and I must agree. You make a damn fine and super hot Acanthus." She grins happily.

Jeremiah Hamilton: "Ah...interesting. Do you know which one?" He nodded quietly to Simone. "I walk the Illumined Path myself on that front."

Simone Gratz: "Darned right I do," Simone agrees with Kenzie. "A quality you should recognize from when you see it in your own reflection in the mirror." They're just the worst. "I haven't heard much of anything about your legacy, Jay. I'd be interested to learn, if you're interested in sharing. In my case it's the Dreamspeakers, which seems to involve strange entities from the Dream deciding they want you to come party with them, and then insisting until you finally do it."

Thespis: He takes out his phone and texts

Kenzie: "I mean, obviously. I make the best me after all and my ass is damn nice." She giggles a bit and wiggles her hips. "I uh, I won't lie. If I was invited to that party, I'd have been there. Keep that in mind." She eyes the others. "Thats a Kenzie trap 100%. I won't even second guess it. I am falling for that trap every time if it is one." She laughs a bit more.

Jeremiah Hamilton: "Certainly. At its core we believe that the shift from Sleeper to Awakened is more of a spectrum than fixed points, and we serve to guide others along that path to eventual enlightenment."

Simone Gratz: "Oh, I intend to show up for the party," Simone says with a smile. "It's just a matter of figuring out how to safely to get to the address. I am a little annoyed about the way they've been sending the invitation, but I also do feel called to it, so..." she just has to shrug. "I've just never gone that deep into the Astral Realms before, and it's not something I want to dive into without preparing, you know?"

She smiles at Jay. "I can see that perspective, I suppose? Or at least the value in approaching that as an ideal."

Thespis: "Astral Realms are. . An experience."

Kenzie: She looks to Jay. "That sounds hot." She then looks to the other two. "Thats my problem. I would just go and wander around until I found it. I am terrible at planning. If it feels right it happens." She chewed her lower lip a bit. "Astral is-- wild. Which me, not knowing spirit and go--- I dont often have a good time."

Jeremiah Hamilton: "They are indeed." Jeremiah nodded solemnly at Adam's comment. "The last trip I went on rattled me something fierce, I'll admit, but it was worth it to be there nonetheless. You can learn a lot from it, both about yourself and the grander scheme of things."

Simone Gratz: "What happened?" Simone asks Jeremiah with an intensity to her curiosity that she doesn't do a very good job of covering up. Then she laughs and says to Kenzie, "I don't usually do as much of it as I should, but I think it helped that I had Lesja as a mentor. I've ended up slightly less inclined to just do everything off the cuff."

Thespis: "Mind mastery was a wierd journey, but I've formed a great working relationship with N'kai here." And thr crimson skinned succubus did appear out of nowhere, giving Simone and Jeremiah a wink

"Please Addy, your lucky you have me." She chuckled

Kenzie: "Thats how I live my life. I awoke a few years ago, did a year of mentorship and just hit the road in an RV until I ended up here. Two of the worlds most adorable Acanthus not only in the same city, but in the same place. I am pretty sure if I wasn't a time master, time would have unraveled and destroyed the world." She smirks to N'kai. "Oh hi there beautiful." Blows her a kiss.

Jeremiah Hamilton: Jeremiah eyed the succubus as she made herself known, smirking a touch before giving her a nod.

"I'm not sure if it was something tied to the artifact we were using to make the jump or something else, but there was one point when I ended up in a patch of complete nothingness. I couldn't say how long it was, but I was pretty shaken up when I caught up with everyone else."

Simone Gratz: Simone blinks briefly at the sudden appearance of the succubus and then, like an Acanthus, just rolls with it. "Hey there," she tells it Then she laughs, leans over to kiss Kenzie on the cheek, and says, "I've always been that way, but even more so now. I should get going, though." She holds up the empty shake cup. "And get some real food, or something, before I have to get to an appointment. I'll give you a call soon, alright?"

She blinks a couple of times at Jeremiah and says, "yeah, that kind of thing is why I'm planning to actually prepare myself for once. I'm glad you didn't end up stuck there, though. Or hopefully you didn't. You're not an imposter, are you?" She steps away from Kenzie and waves a hand. "Kidding, kidding. Nice to see you all."

Thespis: N'kai pouts as Simone starts heading out while Thepis gives her a wave, "See you around."

Kenzie: "Hate to see you leave, but loooove watching you go," She was clearly watching her butt as Simone walked away. She scampers over to sit with Thespis now, her Cadremate. "We still on for Thursday?"

Thespis: He puts an arm around Kenzie, "Should be, unless you and Doc cancle on me, then I would be all by my lonesome," he pouts, "So, anything the beach house needs on your end, any requests or specific features?"

Jeremiah Hamilton: "Not last I checked." He said with a chuckle, giving Simone a nod as she readied to depart. "Was good meeting you. See you around I imagine."

Kenzie: "Outside shower. The hose is too cold to get all the sand off. Make sure the floor under the shower is a nice bamboo floor with slats so the sand has a place to run off and not kill the drain. Other then that, my needs are covered. I can put a surf board anyplace."

Thespis: He nods as he makes mental notes, "Your command is my wish." He chuckled, "How many boards you have?"

Kenzie: "Ill give you 2 guesses." She smirked a bit. "Its more than 0 and less than 30."

Thespis: "Twenty?"

Kenzie: "Lucky number 7 my friend,"

Thespis: "Hey, you said two guesses," he laughed, "six more than I have, so I guess your manic pixie dream princesses of the beach, I bow to your superior surf skills."

Kenzie: "They're the only bit I splurged on space wise with the RV. Long boards and short boards. Never know what can happen to a good board."

Thespis: "Shall I find a place with a proper garage for the RV?"

Jeremiah Hamilton: "Never been surfing, I'll admit. Always looked fun, though."

Kenzie: "I would invite you, but this is super top secret Cadre business and if you saw we would have to do bad things to you. And not the fun kind of bad things." She teased.

Thespis: "Yes, very bad bad things," he played along, "we'd make you watch Hannah Montana all day."

Jeremiah Hamilton: "Oof, harsh. Maybe next time, then." He said with a chuckle, pausing as a thought crossed his mind. "Wonder if Polly would be up for a beach trip...will have to ask her."

Kenzie: "Its probably what I miss most. I feel most at home in the ocean. Maybe I need to find someplace here that has a salt water pool." She ponders aloud. "Whos Polly?"

Thespis: "His fiancé," Adam offered, "Tell me about it, I spent every weekend at the board walk, spring break in Miami, I can't cruise my boat on a river, it needs salt water, hot people in swim suits, the sound of seagulls."

Jeremiah Hamilton: "What he said." He replied with a warm smile, his fondness for his other half clear to the pair. "Been together for a few years and I proposed this past January."

Kenzie: "Awwwwwwwwww!" She gushes. "Thats so adorable! When do I get to meet her?!" As if her and Jay had been friends for ages.

Thespis: "She is a kickass musician, you two might get along." He told kenzie, "Once again, congrats, always thought about getting hitched in the future, just need to fine someone who would agree." He laughs

Kenzie: "We -might- get along? Shiiiiiit, Closest person I have yet to almost not get along with is Klaire and now shes my bestie." She gives Thespis 4 snaps in a zig zag.

Jeremiah Hamilton: "Maybe at some point. She drops by the wafflehouse now and again, and she makes good use of the music studio I run above my cafe in Spring Gardens."

Thespis: "She has talent, you two make a great pair." He nodded to Jeremiah

Kenzie: "I am usually always at Maddy's. I am pretty sure I am there so often, that my booth as my ass impression in it. Though, I do often spot Thespis trying to ruin it before I get there. Thats right, I see- you!" She teases. "I hope one day I do get to meet her and hear her music."

Jeremiah Hamilton: "Thanks. I consider myself very lucky indeed to have in my life." He smiled warmly, giving a nod. "Can make that happen. She performs at the cafe sometimes as well, along with other local musicians if you ever want to swing by."

Thespis: "How is it that you seem to think I ruin everything," he laughs, "Sure I ruin some things, but ass imprints are not among them."

Kenzie: "I mean, with all the pranks I pull on you I just assumed it was revenge."

Jeremiah Hamilton: "A preferred booth is not something you disregard." He offered with mock seriousness, holding the solemn tone for a moment before chuckling.

Thespis: "Don't worry Kitten, when I seek revenge you will know, oh you shall know."

Kenzie: She just laughs. "Jay is on my side at least!" Sticks her tongue out at Thespis.

Jeremiah Hamilton: "Be careful, he's a wily one." He smirked as he looked to Adam. "Never know what kind of nefarious plans may be brewing in there."

Thespis: He chuckled and kissed her forehead when she stuck out her tongue, "Oh I have such horrible and evil plans for you my dear." He smiled

Kenzie: "We never did get back to that long con on Bones." She grins happily. "Did you ever think of a honeypot that would attract them?"

Jeremiah Hamilton: "How are they doing these days, by the way? Haven't talked with them in a bit."

Thespis: "Which long con, I have several," he turns to Jeremiah, "They're doing well, had a rough but but back like a Phoenix and sexier than ever."

Kenzie: "Where we plan to lure them in with a fake relic they take and its basically a giant glitter bomb when they get it home." She grins. "Oh yeah, They're great. They got feisty after being--- relieved of duty and took some time."

Jeremiah Hamilton: "Ah...sorry to hear that, but glad they got back on their feet. I'll probably be speaking with them in a more official capacity at some point soon, but send them my well wishes, if you don't mind."

Thespis: "Yes, that con is still going on," he grinned, "Just need to plant the thing well enough to make it look good and old."

Kenzie: "Nothing a little time cant fix." She giggles. "We will send our very best regards." She winks to Jay.

Jeremiah Hamilton: "Appreciate it." He nodded with a small smile. "As an aside, there's a trick you can do as a Space Adept that lets you pull a TARDIS. Just something to keep in mind."

Kenzie: She furrows a brow, she turns so her body faces Jay, now on her knees while on the bench. "Whats a TARDIS and how do I pul one?" Her eyes wide as she begged for more information.

Thespis: "TARDIS is a time machine that looks like a phone booth that is a whole sanctum on the inside, it's awesome and a pop culture icon, alway wanted one."

Kenzie: She seems far less interested now. "I almost thought it was one of those space bears but larger." she huffs in disappointment and sits back down. She takes a sip from her shake and the dreaded slurp of it being empty is heard. she whimpers defeated. "Double suck! Im out of shake."

Thespis: Thespis gets up, walks out and after a few minutes comes back with a oreo milk shake, handing it to Kenzie, "Does this satisfy my lady?" He asks sitting back down with her

Kenzie: She takes the shake and sips it. She nods in approval. "For now." She teased a bit. "I also swear you're going to try to take me out via sugar death."

Jeremiah Hamilton: "It's as good a way to go as any." Jeremiah chuckled, taking a sip of his own shake. "One of my cadremates is an immaculate baker, and she's part of the reason I bike everywhere."

Thespis: "I do want to take you out," he teased right back, "but death don't have nothing to do with it."

Kenzie: "Is that your sly attempt to take me on a date?" She furrows a brow to Thespis before her focus goes back to Jay. "I tend to skate. I get it. Anything to burn it all off."

Jeremiah Hamilton: "Mmhmm. That and Tai chi courtesy of one of my other cadremates usually does the trick."

Thespis: "And if it is a sly attempt to do just that?" He shrugs before turning to Jeremiah, "I usually do exercises and swimming to burn stuff, was on the swim team in high-school and college." He smirked

Kenzie: She offers a shrug. "I'll have to check my calendar." She teases. "We can uh, maybe--- No thursday is booked with a beach day. Uhm, How about--- no no this weekend is bad. I will be collecting --- things in NYC. Uhm. Maaaaybe monday?"

Jeremiah Hamilton: "Nice. Was too focused on chorus and whatnot to do sports in school." He smirked at the date talk, idly rubbing the back of his engagement band with his thumb.

Thespis: "I can do Monday," he grinned, "I was in both swim and drama, awakened in high-school too so I was living one of those young adult urban fantasty," he blinks, "Holy shit I'm Percy Jackson."

Kenzie: "I did surf PE for my phys ed class. It was awesome and a great way to start the day."

Jeremiah Hamilton: " I never did read those books, I'll admit…they looked interesting, though, and Riordan is fantastic on the representation front."

Thespis: "They're good books," he nodded and blinks, "Look at us, three Los Angeles natives who moved to Philly, small world."

Kenzie: "You're also from LA?!" She looked to Jay. "See, I knew I liked you. Whats next, also going to tell me you're in the Free Council too?"

Jeremiah Hamilton: "I'm from Massachusetts, actually, although I went to Stanford and then tried doing the music thing in LA, which is where I met this delinquent." He lightly nudged Adam with a smirk. "I'm with the Ladder."

Kenzie: "See, dirty liar ass Guardian." She smirked. "Always trying to trick me. DATE OFF!" She threatened with a grin. "Massachusetts is a lot of fun. Spent some time on the Vineyard, the cape... A bit in Boston but more west Mass."

Thespis: "Hey, I put my delinquent days behind me," he chuckled, "Don't got sharing any stories though." He laughed, "Kenzie your way too smart to fall for any of my tricks."

Jeremiah Hamilton: "My lips are sealed." He smirked, turning an invisible key in front of his lips before chucking said key over his shoulder. "I liked it well enough. Was born a bit south of Boston and traveled a lot with my father's work."

Kenzie: She checks the time. "Oh shit. I need to get going. Princess duties and all. I am leading the drum circle for them tonight!" And off she went. (Have to go give some LOA briefs.)

Thespis: He salutes her, "Have fun Kitten, long live thr princess of Fate and Time."

Thespis: Thespis nodded, "Like wise."
