Aurelio Menegi: What with it being New Year's Eve the club was packed with folks celebrating, the dance floor chock full and the music and the drinks flowing freely. Aurelio had managed to lay claim to a piece of the bar a bit away from the dance floor, a drink in hand and a look of contentment on his face. The Torrent was in an all-black ensemble as was his wont, contrasting the white marble he was made of under the Mask.

Roger Gimlin: Interestingly, Roger also enjoyed contrast in his outfit. Since so much of him was black fur, hair and skin, he wore a lovely maroon suit with white undershirt and a black tie.

The Magician was in full force as he simply entertained the people as he walked into the main area of the club. After a few moments, he approached Aurellio and saddled up in the seat next to him, "Good evening, friend."

Aurelio Menegi: Roger got a respectful nod as he approached, with Aurelio looking pleasantly surprised at seeing another Lost among the crowd. "Buona sera." He replied in greeting, lifting his glass in a small toast. "Enjoying yourself?"

Roger Gimlin: He ordered a glass of red wine with which he eventually returned the toast. In fluent, albeit Chicago-accented, Italian, "Good evening, Sir. It is a pleasure to see you. I am Roger Gimlin. Had a show end, so here I am to enjoy the new year festivities."

Aurelio Menegi: He smiled at hearing his native tongue, switching back to it as he answered. "Aurelio Menegi, good to meet you as well. I came for similar reasons, and so far it's been enjoyable."

Roger Gimlin: "I find myself being drawn to more folx since the Solstice. It was my first time having a real home for it, if you get my meaning."

Aurelio Menegi: "I do, yes. Such things were...not discussed when I was home before, but it is good to see it more embraced now." He glanced towards some of the pride flags hanging above the bar behind them before looking back to Roger. "There are still troubles, but the community here is strong."

Roger Gimlin: "Oh, most assuredly. There will always be troubles, but our communities tend to come together when needed. In this city more than most places that I've been especially," he takes a drink of the wine, after a sniff of the drink, "I find myself coming to support the community. Also, I find myself in the community recently, because self-exploration is a journey and all of that."

Aurelio Menegi: "Indeed. I knew of my feelings before, but expressing them only came after arriving here and meeting the right people." He said with a smile, taking a sip of his drink. "I have been lucky on that front."

Roger Gimlin: "Oh, do you have partners? I'm still journeying to find my partners in the world. Too many fans, and not enough flames."

Aurelio Menegi: "Jack Martingale, of the Verdant. Not sure if you have met him yet, he's been quite busy as of late."

Roger Gimlin: "I have, actually. He told me about the club where he works. I've also performed there now," a smile, "met him on the solstice in fact."

Aurelio Menegi: "Ah! Good to hear." He smiled warmly, giving a little nod. "He is a good man, one I have felt blessed to meet."

Roger Gimlin: "They were happy to know that I treat my road crew well. Glad to hear that you're both happy together," he sipped at the wine, turning to laugh with a fan who came for an autograph. He signed and winked and let them on their way before turning back to Aurelio, still in Italian, "What sort of job do you have, Signor Menegi?"

Aurelio Menegi: Aurelio watched curiously at the interaction, taking a sip of his drink as he waited for Roger to finish. "Glassblower by trade. Keeping up the family business, as it were. Yourself?"

Roger Gimlin: "Stage magician. I use my skills to lessen the sorrow of people at my shows or at hospitals and the like "

Aurelio Menegi: "Ah...interesting." He nodded quietly. "Take it you are an Arrow, then?"

Roger Gimlin: "Yes, I am. Good call," he chuckled, and then another sip. His gaze moved across the floor, keeping ever vigilant.

Aurelio Menegi: "Had a feeling. They are good folk as well, although the quiver does not suit me. I held the spear for a time but am with the Verdant myself now."

Roger Gimlin: "interesting journey. I've been naturally inclined towards my current path since they changed me. Hiding, trickery, swift hands, all of that."

Aurelio Menegi: "It was. I lost much time while I was gone, and the spear gave a much-needed purpose. After coming here and taking up my trade once again, I came to realize that I was more an artist who fought than a fighter who made art, if you follow."

Roger Gimlin: "That is definitely something that makes sense to me. I'm glad you were able to find yourself. It took me doing not good work to realize that I want to do good works. The old, not use my talents for evil but for good."

Aurelio Menegi: "Indeed. Glad to see you have found your path as well." He glanced towards where the person who'd requested his autograph went, looking back to Roger with a smirk. "Others seem to find joy in it too."

Roger Gimlin: "Yeah. I'll take their sorrow, one way or another. I find the Arrows perfectly placed, because I have fear, sorrow and joy in my desires of what to do with the world... I need to stay away from Wrath, because... that's what I was inside."

Aurelio Menegi: "Mmm." He nodded, taking a sip of his drink. "I was made to take from others to survive, so I follow."

Roger Gimlin: "Yeah. There is certainly that. I was the one who had to retrieve, but where I was?" he shook his head, "Everything was like us. Everything. So if you ate anything...drank anything..."

Aurelio Menegi: "Ah...something not to dwell on at the turning of the year, perhaps." He smiled a touch, raising his glass. "We are both here instead of there, and that is what matters in the moment."

Roger Gimlin: "Yes. Yes. You're absolutely correct," he raised his glass, "But you can see why Sorrow called me... here at the New Years, do you have any sorrow you wish to unburden?"

Aurelio Menegi: He started to answer but paused, having a good think about it before shaking his head. "Not at this time. Things are going well, and I have new projects to pursue in the year ahead that I'm looking forward to."

Roger Gimlin: "Very good. EVen better. Way may be in Winter but we march all the further towards Spring," a flash of fangs in a wide grin.

Aurelio Menegi: "Indeed." He replied with a grin of his own, settling against the bar as he looked over the crowd. "I appreciate the chance to use my mother tongue, as an aside. Translating things into English can be difficult at times."

Roger Gimlin: "You are most welcome to be given the chance for Italian to be spoken. It is a good language for me to practice. I haven't used it as often as others... However, I should be on my way. My agent wants me to some of the bigger parties for eyes and the like..." he stood and paid for his drink, and Aurelio's before heading out.
