Maddy's Wafflehouse

Log

Tommy Shanks: Tommy was in her feminine form, tonight wearing a white skirt with blue flowers all across it and a matching top (pic available if desired). Over the top, she wore a light white cardigan. Currently, she was having breakfast for dinner having the Sweet Sicily without cilantro.

She stayed within eyeline of her few days old bulletin and had a book with special runes on it with black leather binding and gold trim (also in the runes) as well as a steel and gold pen in the crack of the book.

Ylva Theodulus: Ylva was wearing what one would consider frankly scandalous clothes, though Klaire was well used to how she dressed. A short plaid skirt that probably covers the butt, fishnet stockings and knee high boots, a white crop top and a leather duster.

Her hand is wrapped around Klaire's. A tail on her back, for Ylvas benefit as they walk in. Pushing open the door.

Klaire Henriette: Klaire is about the opposite of Ylva, jeans and a long sleeve ssweater as her arm is over Ylva's shoulders. She's not particuarly tall but her partner is quite small. Despite that, she looks significantly offput by being here. Her eyes met Ylva's and to anyone else it would just look like an uneasy glance.

<This place... its crowded, you sure its safe, darling?>

Tommy Shanks: The young magi's eyes leap from her head, seeing the beautiful, yet intimidating look of Ylva. It wasn't hard to see her initial attraction. She has a less powerful reaction, with Klaire as well.

She quickly took a drink of orange juice to try and cover.

Bones quickly started to study their book, even though it was obviously on a currently blank page...

Ylva Theodulus: Ylva nods to Klaire.

<Perhaps the safest public area around for us.>

She squeezes Klaires hand, perhaps a little harder than she meant to before smiling to Bones offering a gentle wave of another tail before she shakes her head and gently waves with her spare hand.

"Hi."

Klaire Henriette: Klaire holds Ylva a bit tighter, a slight grimace at the squeeze of the hand.

<If you say so. I'm just glad to be done with that whole process.>

She waves to Bones, letting her partner do the talking here. Her anxiety was starting to spike without Rook.

Tommy Shanks: "Hi!" she replied swiftly, "I'm Bones. Um. You're very beautiful and I need to let you know that, so it is out in the open and stuff, might help me calm down and not talk so fast..."

Then she took a very obvious, deep, calming breath.

Ylva Theodulus: Ylva chuckles at that.

"Well, you know how to start a conversation off right now dont you Bones."

She takes a seat a little bit away from Bones trying her best to smile confidently and be supportive of Klaire while not flirting, its an effort.

"Nice to meet you. You can call me Ylva and this is my lovely partner who you can call Klaire."

Klaire Henriette: Klaire smiles, a little put at ease at the other anxious person.

"She is quite beautiful isn't she?" <Its true. You can flirt if you want. I know you enjoy it.>

Klaire sits right next to Ylva, head on the smaller person's shoulder.

"Nice to meet you Bones. I'm new here...well...sort of. More official I guess is a good term."

Jeremiah Hamilton: The portal did as portals do, allowing Jeremiah to make his way into the diner without too much fanfare, the Mastigos dressed casually in jeans and a black t-shirt with a coiled snake done up in pink, yellow and blue with scales of the other colors scattered throughout. Spotting the others already present he smiled warmly, giving a quick salute. "Evening, all."

Guy Dagenham: The swings open after Jeremiah, and there he is: some Guy. His presence is a little eerie in a perfectly mundane way—he’s quiet, draws no attention to himself, but he moves like he’s 2 seconds from entering a knife fight, all deliberate and effortlessly certain. He glances about, and nods to Ylva before walking over to look at the notice board. Somehow it still seems like he’s staring down the diner. He’s dressed in black combat boots, BDU’s and a black tee, with a black leather jacket declaring him a HELLHOUND on its back, along with a stylized snarling dog head.

Tommy Shanks: "I am happy to meet you, Ylva and Klaire. More official now? Did you just recently join one of the factions in town?"

And then Jeremiah entered and another blush of attraction, because she has itty bitty composure. She raised a hand in welcome.

The air of menace that walked in after Jeremiah made her pull back, and actually made them use the potentia within to strengthen their skin and reflexes. (life mage armor if noticed)

Ylva Theodulus: Ylva blushes at Klaire squeezing her hand.

<You spoil me so.>

"Oh I dunno about that Bones. Happy and you've only just met me, you do know how to make a girl swoon."

She tilts her head as Jeramiah enters then her smile widens as Guy enters. An eager wave with a few tails and a reserved wave with her hand.

"Hey Guy, hows tonight treating you?"

Klaire Henriette: Klaire sticks closer to Ylva as the others join, not so confident in such a large group but wanting to learn.

"I did, I'm still learning all the terminology. I've been on the outskirts for about a decade but now I'm...a bit more in play."

<There has to be a better way to say that.>

As her partner addresses the scary one, she looks a bit put off, not having wanted to interact with the scary one but Ylva likes him so...

Jeremiah Hamilton: "Going pretty well, can't complain." Jeremiah gave Guy a nod as he stepped in behind him, not appearing too phased by the aura about the Gangrel. "Jeremiah, although most folks call me Jay. Good to meet you all."

"Ah...well, welcome to the wider weird." He added to Klaire with a smile. "Who are you working with, if you don't mind my asking?"

Tommy Shanks: The slight fear at seeing Guy made Bones not react as strongly at Ylva's reply, but a corner of a smile was visible. When both Ylva and Jeremiah, even though she didn't know them, seemed to know whom the scary guy was, she grabbed her book and took notes to help calm down.

Guy Dagenham: Guy steps away from the board and walks closer to the group, nodding to Jeremiah before finding a chair to pull out and sit in. He does it all wrong in a way that’s hard to articulate, it’s kind of like watching someone sit down under water but sped up—something about the way his weight moves and how he lowers himself, it’s like he could freeze and float there but with his feet on the ground.

“Good evening, everyone.”

Ylva Theodulus: "Heya Jay. So many new faces in one night."

There is a smirk to her voice as she talks. Apparently flirty is how she deals with stress.

"You can call me Ylva, the wider weird is a hell of a time isnt it."

She does pull back into herself a bit as Guy sits even if she knows him. A squeezed hand for Klaire.

<Your okay hun, Guy is safe even if a little scary.>

Klaire Henriette: Klaire nods to the other two, still getting used to the others.

"Hello Jeremiah and Guy. I'm Klaire." Her eyes go to Jeremiah, easier to just focus on one person. "The Free Council. I haven't gotten much chance to meet others in the wider community yet."

<He is definitely scary. But ok, if you trust him. You were right about Fox so...I should trust your judgement more.>

Tommy Shanks: "Pleasure to meet you Jay. I'm Bones. And ... Nice to meet you as well, Guy," she said after Ylva said the name.

Everyone starting to relax helped relax the oft' impatient mage. She started to bounce a little from her natural excitement again and looked over to Klaire, "Psyche?"

Jeremiah Hamilton: "Ah, nice. I'm with the Silver Ladder myself." Jeremiah found a place to sit for himself, looking over the gathered patrons. "Settling in alright?"

Guy Dagenham: Guy finally responds to Ylva. “I’m well, thank you. It’s been a fine night.” He nods to Bones and Claire. “Guy Dagenham, nice to meet you. I’m, ah, one of the children of the night, you might say, if we’re sharing.”

Ylva Theodulus: Ylva smiles enjoying the socializing. Leaning back slightly in her chair to let Klaire meet new people. Just here to support her.

<One day you will. Time, yeah.>

Klaire Henriette: Klaire pauses at Bones's comment, a slight twitch of uncomfortableness at the new name. "Yes, Psyche. It seemed like a good name."

She looks back to Jerimiah. "I'm going to lie and say yes, I'm fine. Its been a lot."

And a glance to Guy. "That's not one I've heard? I'm still learning the...well the terms everyone here uses."

She squeezes Ylva's hand, feeling a bit backed into a corner from the attention of the others. Groups are not her forte.

Tommy Shanks: "I met another night-goer here a few nights past. Lady named Titania..." her gaze moved slowly over to Jay, "I'm a Mystagogue, y'all can call me Bones," and then she lowered the pen again, being more social.

She also pushed the rest of her food aside, motioning for a box, before grabbing at the coffee mug and refilling from a pot on the table.

At Klaire's reactions, she didn't push further that way for the moment.

Jeremiah Hamilton: "No need to lie, it's a lot to take in. If you need someone to talk with on it I'd be more than happy to help. Guiding others on the Path is part of what I do for the local community."

"If you haven't been here yet, the food is amazing." He continued, letting the top sit for the moment as he glanced over the menu. "Maddy really knows her stuff."

Guy Dagenham: Guy blinks slowly at Claire’s response. “Kids these days…”

With his coldly bored expression unchanging, Guy’s mouth drops open before his fangs extend, and then a few moments later retract.

He looks to Bones. “I hope that went well, Titania can be a bit of a piece of work.”

Ylva Theodulus: Ylva leans into Klaire biting her neck gently and raising her eyebrow.

"He is the bitey kind." A pause. "Not helpful when your dating me. Vampire."

Klaire Henriette: "I am moving from being on my own to learning a lot of stuff very fast so I don't put anyone in danger. Forgive me if I'm a bit...offput by it. But if I need help I'll reach out."

Klaire looks at the menu and almost misses the fangs, a bit of a nervous glance that turns at into a flinch at Ylva's bite. "Vampire, got it."

<Can you order for me. Too many new people and I didn't want to bring Rook.>

Tommy Shanks: The fangs draw Tommy's gaze, a blush on her cheeks, "Very well," in reply to him before moving to Ylva's reply and blushing deeper.

"Food is fabulous!" after Jay's comment and Shanks even physically offered the plate towards Psyche, half eaten.

"And yes, that's my post on the board. If anyone has had the troublesome dreams, or has need of semiotics help, I'm here to do what I can."

Jeremiah Hamilton: "Sounds good. Take what time you need." Jeremiah nodded, smiling to the staffer as they came by to take their orders. He went for a coffee and pigs in mud waffles, watching the exchange between Klaire and Ylva with a small smile. "You two been together long?"

Guy Dagenham: Guy raises an eyebrow at Tommy’s reaction, but politely doesn’t say anything more. Or he doesn’t care. Or he’s silently judging. Hard to read, that Guy is.

He looks to Ylva and Klaire after Jay’s question, giving Ylva a little, “hey, this them?” kind of look.

Ylva Theodulus: Ylva nods grabbing her usual order of far too many Waffles for any person on one plate.

Looking to Jay. "Um. 5 Years, but recently I became lost and I found out Klaire is a sleepwalker. So. 5 Years. TM."

She nods to Guy. "One of them. This is my lover Klaire."

Klaire Henriette: Klaire's face pales at the food and Ylva immedietly feels the presence in her mind fade as Klaire drops the telepathy, staring at Tommy for a moment before looking away, not accepting the food.

"Yeah, yeah. 5 years. I've been a uh...Sleepwalker for 14 or so years, but largely stayed out of these things. I was brought into everything when I pried a bit too deep into what happened to Ylva."

Tommy Shanks: "Oh! KLAIRE!" she positively squeals, "With the Cha--Lost girlfriend! Fox told me about you all! She said she was still getting Klaire settled. This all makes so much more sense... I blame the beauty, the beau, and the beast shaking up my mind!"

And then Klaire's reaction had her withdraw once again... putting the food down and scooching it aside. She braced herself in the corner of the booth a little more, as if giving the SLeepwalker as much space as possible.

Jeremiah Hamilton: Jeremiah paused at Klaire's reaction to the food being offered, giving her and Tommy a 'you good?' look before nodding. "Lost...you might know my other half, then. Have you met Polly?"

Ylva Theodulus: "Bit" She chuckles. "Not the best choice of words love."

A grin crossing her face at Tommy.

"Am I making you flustered there Tommy." She leans forward towards her knowing exactly what she is doing. "The beautiful beast being a little distracting hmm?"

A nod to Jay.

"Yeah. Polly is lovely, gave me the idea to set up." A pause. "Helped with my problems."

Guy Dagenham: “Beast isn’t either,” Guy drawls, with a flicker of a grin. Not shark like at all.

“Congrats to you both,” he says to Ylva and Klaire. “On having something in this wild world.”

Klaire Henriette: Klaire nods to Tommy. "I'm not surprised. I gave Fox a bit of trouble but was convinced."

Klaire leans in closer to Ylva. "Before she got wrapped up in all of this, she was my normal part of the world. Reading minds is exhausting so it was nice to be alone and just focus on one person and feel safe instead of dozens and worry about everyone around me."

Tommy Shanks: "Well, you're the beauty. Jay is the Beau, and Guy is clearly the Beast with that air about him, and the fangs just seal it," in reply to Ylva, her tone doing its best to become almost academic, after Klaire's reaction.

She swallowed to Guy's reaction at the word Beast. She mentally checked to make sure her armor was in place, even though it had been minutes.

Jeremiah Hamilton: "She is, isn't she." He replied with a warm smile, his feelings for the Elemental clear to see. "We've been together for about two years now, and she's one of the best things that've happened to me in a while."

"Beau, huh...I'll take that." He nodded with a smirk, then looked back to Klaire with renewed interest. "That can get overwhelming, yeah. Finding that sort of anchor point is important."

Guy Dagenham: Guy quirks an eyebrow at Tommy again, then takes some napkins out of the dispenser, and starts…folding them, idly. “There’s…two, three layers of humor in calling me that, and the funniest part is I’m pretty sure you only mean one of them, if any at all.”

Ylva Theodulus: "Im sad to not be the beast now." She finishes with a chuckle.

"I can be a beuty and a beast right. Thats a good movie."

"Anchor points are what keep me sane." She says with a squeeze of Klaires hand and a tilted head at her.

"You okay?"

Klaire Henriette: "Anchor points are important, as is meditation. It definitely helps with everything that goes on."

Her eyes flick to Jeremiah, noticing the interest. "But I find I can tell what people want without it if I try."

She squeezes back at the hand, the lets go and gently rests her hand on Ylva's thigh but doesn't respond.

Tommy Shanks: "Well, then yes, you are a beautiful beast, Ylva."

To Guy: "Oh, I apologize if any of it is offensive. I just meant you're... well frankly, scary. There's an air that just... wow."

Jeremiah Hamilton: "That kind of thing is in my wheelhouse as well, among other things." He nodded to Klaire, thanking the server when they brought drinks around for the table and took a moment to doctor his coffee with a notable amount of sugar. "Can make for interesting times indeed."

Ylva Theodulus: Ylva grins as the food arrives. Eating an entire stack of waffles in one bite. Probably a horrifying sight for those that cant see past the Mask.

Adding some maple syrup to the second stack and sipping at her milkshake. Sliding the third plate of waffles over to Klaire.

"Eat, you'll feel better."

She leans her head onto Klaires shoulder.

Guy Dagenham: Guy shrugs in response to Tommy. “Not offensive, just…humorous from my side of things. I was out of the loop for a long while, and when I got back, I was rather surprised when I found out that story of Red Riding Hood was so popular these days. Have you heard of the events it’s based on?”

Tommy Shanks: "Another... " she mused quietly, before resuming her normal voice, "I've heard a few versions, but I'd love to hear yours. Especially if you were there at the time."

Klaire Henriette: Klaire looks at Jeremiah, her own interested look. "You can also read minds? Well...I don't think I've met another person who can like I can."

She pokes at the waffles, eating slowly and suddenly way more attentive in the conversation.

Jeremiah Hamilton: Watching that stack of waffles vanish like that made Jeremiah pause for a moment as he started to cut into his own stack, looking more impressed than anything. He smirked as the initial shock wore off, giving her a "not bad" look before turning back to Klaire. "Mmhmm. Don't do it too often, but it's in my toolkit."

Ylva Theodulus: She tilts her head to Tommy. "Another?"

Watching Klaire eat and then interact a bit more like normal she smiles.

Guy Dagenham: “My version would be rather boring, I think. Lots of death and feuds that have no context anymore. Not even a girl in a red cloak. But then, I wasn’t the only one running around the woods of France at the time.”

Tommy Shanks: "Oh, sorry. The Night Folk that I met the other night was born in..." she checks a note, "1208. So, I'm excited!!" a tilt of their head towards Guy, "... If he is older than the story of Red Riding Hood, that's earlier than the 1600s. I am an archaeologist and semiotics by trade, and so I have a familiarity with anthropology and the history of literature as well...." and then a tilt of her head towards Guys story, "Huh. Here my guess was that it was based on a Garou."

At the mention of Jay's toolkit, she made a mental note. Could always use another way of looking at Mind... maybe it'll help them become an Adept.

Klaire Henriette: Klaire sits forward, her curious nature getting the better of her. "Not often? You can turn it off? How? Um, if that's ok to ask here?"

She half listens to the other story, paying more attention to the Mage.

Guy Dagenham: “Who’s to say it wasn’t? Like I said, I wasn’t the only monster in those woods.” He stands, and shrugs. “I suppose I’d be down to chat more another time, but I have to jet. Nice seeing everyone.”

With that he takes a long step backwards, that just keeps going and going, classic movie vampire looking, though sharp eyed viewer can tell there is an arc as he sort of floats back to the door, he’s not actually levitating. “Good night, everyone, and remember: safe a life, donate blood.” And with that, he steps out.

Jeremiah Hamilton: "Have a good night, Guy. Tell Petra I say hello."

He smiled as Klaire leaned in, indulging in the moment of seeing that curious spark light up. "It's an effect that I call upon rather than something that's always on. Take it's more of a permanent effect for you?"

Tommy Shanks: She spittakes the orange juice at Guy's last line, realizing that while scary, there is some fun to the Kindred. Coughing, Bones spoke, "H...have... a good night... Mis-- Mister Guy."

She now refocuses on Jeremiah and Klaire, especially sine the topic was MAGIC!

Klaire Henriette: Klaire waves to Guy, hyper-focused on her own conversation.

"I can't turn it off. I can distract myself slightly but on occasion I find myself in someone's head if I'm focused on something else. I've learned to extend some of my capabilities and those are more at will."

Jeremiah Hamilton: "Interesting." He nodded, the gears turning a bit. "I might be able to work with you on that to help lower the outside static, as it were. Would be worth a shot, if anything."

Tommy Shanks: "Huh," the Obrimos was definitely tuned into the new Voter now. Maybe something they thought,.... "Did a stray thought of mine or something appear in your mind before? Did it upset you? I can't think of anything that was upsetting, but I'm so sorry that I did!"

She pulled out a little compact and looked in it. As she looked into the mirror, she blinked in a weird rhythm. Magic went off to those sensitive.

Then she focused back into the conversation with Jay and Klaire.

Klaire Henriette: Klaire takes a bite of her food, leaning close to Ylva. "I think its worth trying. If nothing else it will give me a new reference on my own capabilities."

She looks at Tommy with confusion, then realization. "I apologize. I had asked Ylva for food right before you offered your own. I was worried something had happened and you took the message somehow. I'm not quite sure how Mages can...affect things." She looks at the mirror with curiosity, not sensitive to magic. "What is that?"

Jeremiah Hamilton: Jeremiah perked up slightly at the faint wash of magic in the air, giving Bones a curious look before nodding to Klaire. "Sounds like a plan, then." He took a moment to pull a slim card case from his pocket and offered Klaire one to peruse herself, the information for a cafe called the Green Room on the front and a second hand-written number on the back. "Number on the back's my cell, easiest way to get a hold of me."

Tommy Shanks: She turned the mirror towards Klaire. Instead of the normal silver-glass Mirror, is a circle of polished steel. There are a few runes on the edge of the mirror as well. "It just helps me focus a little more with my magic. Nothing huge," and to Jeremiah, "Mental Shield. Just so that I don't accidentally leak to Klaire somehow."

Klaire Henriette: Klaire takes the card, offering her own. Information to a Henriette Investigation. "Ill call soon then. The number on there is my cell."

She nods. "I appreciate it then. I'm sorry for assuming the worst."

Tommy Shanks: "My info is on the board there, should anyone need it."
