Log

Its been a wild fucking week, lets say wild to be polite.

Blue is wandering through the woods near her house and decides to poke her head into this weird diner that she has always just been kind offput by.

Its in the middle of hecking no where, this makes no sense.

She opens the door and sees a bustling diner inside tilting her head confused and blinking a few times.

While Tommy has been there frequently, this is the first time that she's seen someone walk through the actual door of the diner.

The Latina Mage turned to look at the woman in more detail, analyzing. Her rune-covered journal and was currently propped up, so she could read from it, making the cover visible to the door.

She slowly lifted a hand and said, "Hiya!"

There is a very soft barely there wave as she pulls the door closed. "Hi."

She was trying to be confident so was wearing her jacket. Black leather with Blue accents, her hair was down showing a blue streak in the front and jeans that ended in platform Docs.

"That looks magical okay, cool, yes." Her Russian accent coming through a little stronger with todays nerves.

She adjsuted the black and white striped top as she stood and glanced to the rules as a habit, and then back to the new arrival.

Then the accent came in, and she pushed the wrinkles off of her slacks and grinned, a burst of magic being felt, and then in fluent Russian, "Hello, Miss. I hear you talking about Magic, I would ask that you read the rules here, and then we can talk more."

She takes a step back her mage sight catching the magic. Being almost defensive.

Then she nods and turns to the rules. "Dont be a butt, dont be a butt, dont be a butt, dont be a butt, dont be a butt, dont be a butt, dont be a butt, dont be a butt, I should work on that and dont be a butt." As she speaks her accent comes on much thicker speaking in fluent Russian.

Another wave as she turns to look at the woman. "Hiya. Im, well, new here."

"Wait..." the Doctor's academic mind tickled the back of their consciousness, "...are you... no... Dr. Fedorov? Yeah. I think you are, yeah. I read your paper on," insert topic here, "when I was studying some Grecian ruins, or supposed Grecian ruins... the ley line work and the information with it was fabulous."

Her gaze looked over the academic, fighting the instinct to study her with magic as well, "I am also an Academic, however I go by the name of Bones among the circles that attend the diner here."

Dr Federov slips into her professional demenour at that comment.

"Thank you kindly, im glad I was able to assist you. Im curious which ruins you were working with. There arent many ruins that are even suspected of being Grecian." There is a chuckle as she realizes she is rambling about her mundane work when she can in fact now do magic and is standing in front of another Mage.

"I must be showing just how Green I am right now hmm? My brain has a whole lot running through it. I could really do with some decoding." She admits, which for her is a huge step.

"I say suupposed, because I think they were connected to the Supernal or Atlantean lands..." and then a head tilt, "Wait. You're new? Like way new? Have you found an Order yet? Do you... how long?"

Her eyes go blank as they speak, then followed by a nod and a pause before she answers her knuckles twitching as she does.

"Very new. I should probably know what an order is before I find one. Coming up three weeks. Ive finished putting my mind back together. Went for a walk and was drawn here."

"I. See..." she very rapidly thought through the best response to all of this, and settled on, "Hey, let me buy you dinner, and we can talk through things..." she pulled out a chair across from her at the table.

She nods sitting scratching at her forearms under the coat. "Okay. Um, you can call me Blue. That feels more right at the moment than Dr."

"Sure, Blue, whatever you say. Food is great here, and coffee is better. Freshly made earlier today, somewhere in the world," a bob of her head, "Oh, um. So. Walk through what happened, and maybe I can help figure out what happened and then give you the starting brief."

"Ive been getting into sacred Geometry the last few months, seeing patterns everywhere. It got worse, my house is currently covered in doodles. Like all of it. I was finishing the connection between the third solar panel and the fridge when I dropped my pen and suddenly wasnt. Here? Anymore. I was floating in a world made of shapes and connections and geometry."

She orders a coffee when the waiter comes up.

"I floated there for days, weeks, a literal second. Before i managed to figure out a pattern and came back as my pen hit the floor followed by me."

"Oh. I see... that's an intense Awakening. That's what we call the state of becoming a Mage. Mine was also a second or so in Earth time. Spoke to many different pantheons' gods. They revealed all sorts of higher meaning to me and spoke to me about things...."

She tilted her head, "So you are brand brand new.... let's start with the five by five... we separate the types of Mages, which is what we call ourselves, not sorcerer or wizard or what not, into five categories."

She nods listening along.

"They are related to the tower that you put your name to, the Supernal Realm... The Realm of Time and Fate, called Arcadia, the Realm of Mind and Space, Pandemonium, The Realm of Death and Matter, Stygia, the Realm of Forces and Prime, or the energy of magic, called the Aether, and the realm of Spirit and Life called the Primal Wild..." she rolled her neck thinking, "The labels of the individuals in the same order are Acanthus, Mastigos, Moros, Obrimos, like myself, and THyrsus... does that all fly for you or any questions or connections poppin?"

She nods then starts smiling as she mentions the Aether. "That one. I think. That one sounds right." A pause. "Obrimos."

"Yeah, with the Sacred Geometry ideas, I thought it might be that.... furtherly, we divide the beliefs of the Mages also in groups, and of course there are more, but its... complicated at times," she scratched her jawline now.

"Those who want to do more ... Magic is a Fight, or you harness it by overcoming obstacles and conflict. Are the Adamantine Arrows... The Scholars and the Bookworms and those who wish to find and harness knowledge from around the World are the Mysterium, where I belong... The Silver Ladder believes that Magi should lead, and therefore they focus on magic through leadership. The Free Council is about Humanity itself being magical, including the technology and religions they make... and then the Guardians of the Veil ... they're about making sure only the right sort Awaken, I think, and they're just very secretive but they're at least nominally on our side."

There is another nod. "So one is like what you are. Obrimos and then the other is the thing you chose. The Order you want to belong to. I feel like im legally obligated to join the Mysterium."

"Well, we're always looking for those seeking knowledge, but as a leader of academia, or a modern thinker, the Ladder or Council might work... and oh! Locally, we have the Children of the Tree which I have learned far less than I should have so far."

She nods again a few times. "You mentioned what seems to be kinds of magic. Prime and Forces, Time and Fate, Mind and Space, Death and Matter, Spirit and Life. Those make sense to me. I understand that I have some of those. I can cast. Do we say cast? I can cast some spells from some of those and some feel wrong."

"Sure. Cast works. And yeah... I mean some of it is innate, some education is needed but that's more to advacned to a certain level... lot is practice... and as to the part that feels wrong? Every realm has a weak point. Something they're not as good at. Obrimos aren't as good at Death and Ghosts and the like."

"Okay, so for some of it I will need to be taught, but some seems to be innate, the Forces and Prime. The Celestial Fire and Invisibility are easy for me. But others are a little harder. Like time and matter then death is poop for us." She nods a few times, almost to herself. "Okay."

"Yeah. That's pretty much it. Then there are enemy organizations I guess you could sya. The Seers of the Throne wish to CONTROL the populace and shit... and then there are Mages who lost their sanity.... and things like that... and... There are other supernatural beings in the world... Vampires, Werewolves, CHangelings, Modified Humans, all sorts of things..."

Her eyes go a bit wide at that. "Okay, cool, yeah, fun." A pause. "Given I just wandered into a Diner, i assume there are people I should really meet and all that. Official stuff."

"Yeah. There are...." and he describes where to go to get to the Consilium Hall, "You can preent yourself there as a Newly Awakened."

She nods again. "Okay, I think im going to go home and process that. Wrap my head around things and then ill, head there tomorrow."

She stands finishing her cup of coffee. "Thanks Bones."

"Be safe, Doc. From one Doc to another."
