Log

Bones flowed through the arboretum. As a Sentinel, they were due to keep an eye up and make sure no one was scrutinizing or casting magic too close to the tree.

As such, they kept their ruling sights up and active, keeping a view for anyone too close to the tree. This led an already flowing and airy Bones to be even more distant.

Thespis had been walking the halls, after a long day of calls and helping the Always Sunny crew, he needed a break and he needed something a tad less mundane. So, wearing one of his designer suits he walked over to the tree to admire it, recalling the story he was told about it's origins

Before long, his circuit around the tree brought him to the Mastigos, "Hello my friend. Sorry to disappear this morning... how's the head?"

"Doing a bit better, thanks." he smiles, "Partied a bit to hard last night, wrong combo of drugs and alcohol, but I see hangovers like a mundane paradox."

"SO you mentioned. I just enjoy myself and either make it harder to feel the drugs effects the first time, or clear it out later. And sleep or food and water are handy."

he chuckles, "Food and water helps, I try to avoid sleep when I can." he admits

"Well, if you want, I can give you a daily refresh setup instead...could even in theory move it over to your control..." they pondered aloud, "What brought you here? Just need the respite?"

"I try to not use magic for mundane things," he shrugs, "Honestly, yeah, respite from a hard days work, Charlie Day's a nice enough guy, we're getting drinks tomorrow." he name drops, "Bumping into you is an added bonus." he smiles

"Who?" they were so out of pop culture.

A slight blush, but less than one would expect from Bones, rose to the surface.

When a young apprentice got too close, they use their best professor voice to remind them to back up.

Then they turned back to Thespis, "I thought of my actual favorite game. One of those hiccups in thoughts."

"Always Sunny in Philadelphia, I'm producing an episode for them," he smiles, "So, what's your favorite game then?"

"Legend of Dragoon. All the fun of final fantasy, with dragons, and anime style transformations and ... yep. It's great," that airy voice continued as they kept an eye on the Tree and those around it.

"Fallout New Vegas," he shrugs, "I've replayed it more times than I can count, also a fan of dragon age, what would you say if I told you, D&D, Dragon Age, if something gives me an option to play an elf, I take it?"

"I would of thought it would have been Tiefling."

he laughs, "Why Master Bones, are you stereotyping." he teases, "No, I've only ever played two races in D&D, Elves and Dhampir, go ahead and guess my class, please."

They deadpan stared at Thespis, "War-Lock."

"Sor-cer-er." he deapans right back with a grin, ", sometimes Bard, wrong on both accounts, you having an off day?"

"Mage Sight," he explained, "Can't quite focus fully on the conversation..."

"Ah," he nods, "Want me to head off, talk later?"

"No, we're fine. Just keeping an eye on distance and nimbi among all those present. Can't let the Mother be touched without permission, what do you think my race and class combo in the old Dee En Dee is?"

he thinks, "Aasimar Wizard?" he suggests, "Although now I'm stereotyping."

"I was usually a paladin, and either a dwarf, human, or Goliath..." a laugh.

"Well, we both guessed wrong," he chuckles, "Told Kenzie you're up for Cadre Game Nights, they upped it to us three locked in an escape room, I believe she said you'd give up and portal out."

"...She realizes that I make Indiana Jones look like a novice, right?"

"Then prove her wrong," he shrugs, "I never did an escape room, which apparently makes me old-ok, wait," he sighs, "So, apparently Kitten got it in her head I was married with children?"

"You're like forty, and all about the kids you helped run with the sex cult, and you run a successful business, and talk about your ex... not impossible."

he blinks, "Forty-Bones I am thirty one?" his eyes widen, "Jesus christ, do I really have Dilf energy or something?"

"Maybe it's all those bags under your eyes, and the wrinkles they make, from no sleeping," they teased.

"Your really asking for it, ya know," he shakes his head, "I used to think I looked good for my age, now I'm realizing I must look like shit." he chuckles

"We're also both disciples of Life. So we can notice things others don't."

"Not someones real age apparently," he teases, "Ok, I'll bite, what do you notice of me using Life, an Arcana I need to pick up soon."

"I don't use it on you per se, it's more that it makes me aware of it with people. I notice the bags. I notice the slight slower gait, unless adrenaline or another hormone kickstart. I notice the drugs being used to regulate moods."

he blinks, "So, what picture does that all paint together?" he smiles, curious

"That you don't like to sleep, that you're at least pushing your body harder than you should, and ... you need someone to help take care of you..." a hug and a kiss to the cheek, "I'm the Hearthmaster now, after all."

he smiles, "Why Master Bones, what would the apprentices think." he chuckles before giving Bones a kiss on the cheek in kind, "Sometimes I feel like I'm just punishing myself, use pain to focus."

"Mastigos much?"

"Hey, it's what I am," he shrugs, "Would you have me any other way?"

"Free of the bonds that hold you back?"

"I meant more of not being a Mastigos, but you sure know how to cut through," he sighs, "Which reminds me of something Kenzie brought up. . .would you assist me in vengeance?" he asks, "I intend to find her and kill her, do you have my back?"

"I told you, you are my cadre. Your problems are my problems, your interests are my interests."

"Well then, newly formed and already we're getting a nemeses, works fast don't it?" he says, he looks to consider some things before leaning in, placing a kiss on Bones lips, "Thank you, for giving me a place to belong." he says looking into their eyes, "I didn't think I could find one, but you both accepted me with open arms."

"Oh my," was the blushed reply, the sight dropping now to focus on Thespis, " I know what it's like to search for purpose, to search for home. To borrow a phrase, I journeyed home, the long way round."

he smiles at the blush, "I'm finding more and more home isn't a location, it's the people we choose to bond with, as long as your with someone like that, your home." he offers his thoughts

"And so I welcome my family and my home to you and Aperture."

he smiles, and looks to the tree, "When are you off duty?" he asks, "Wanted to hit the town, maybe a club or two, would be remiss if I didn't go with stylish company."

"Let's go now. It's after seven."

he offers his arm, "Lead the way."

--Later at Club Vertigo Thespis and Bones had made their way to Vertigo, night on the town was always fun. Currently Thespis was taking a shot, still dressed in his custom suite and pants combo, but it was clear such clothes where perfectly made for clubbing. He seemed to exude style and charm to the clubbers around him, a wink or two to folx caught staring now and then.

Bones arrived with Thespis, this time in clubwear of a white tee and black slacks and boots. His hair was teased up a little extra, and they were trying to do their best to look ready to club. It was harder for them than their cadremate

"So, let me ask you," Thespis smile easily, swaying a bit to the beat, "Drink or dance, what do you have a mind to do?"

"Both. Yes and. Why Choose, et cetera. Might be why I'm fluid and poly..." they wagered, a grin, as they wrapped an arm around THespis hips, even reaching down to squeeze his ass a moment before directing them toward the bar to start.

he grins at their hands, "Just wanted to know what you desire this evening," he remarks as they walk to the bar, "A drink to start would do well, I did wish to ask some questions," he admits before turning to the bar tender, "Whiskey for me, number seven and for my lovely companion," he turns to Bones

"Let's go with a Long Island today," a smile, knowing it's a heavy drink, especially if Adam wanted to talk, "Make sure you tip well. Good place, and yet you and I both know they never get what they deserve."

he places a four Franklins down, "That a good start?" he raises an eyebrow before sitting, "I must admit, I'm curious, you said you wished to work on your own biases before we become. . .better acquainted," he grins, taking a sip of his drink, "I wonder how that's going for you, bias against my company and all."

"Well, I didn't object to the kiss earlier, did I?" he slid onto a stool and took a long drink of the long island, "As for my biases... I admit there's need for the eyes. I admit there's a reason we need them. You are one of the best ones I"ve met... though by and large I've met three in town, and I like all three."

"That's a good start," he admits putting an arm around him, "So, I just wanted to get a reading of where we are at, if I'm a guy you'd. . drink coffee with?" he grins, "You've expressed interest before, I'm just curious of the interest has grown." he leans in, "if it has grown, we do share a hobby that requires negotiation." he muses

"I would even go out clubbing with a guy like you, and buy a drink bound to make me drunk if I have more than one."

he laughs, "Oh god, that's the greatest non-answer I've ever heard." he wipes his eye and takes a swig of his drink and then raises it, "To Veritas, may the truth shine on even the darkest corners." he toasts

"To seeking Truth in all ways," a grin and a smile. They lifted his drink and took another large drink, "I'm talented at non-answers. I don't like to lie, so sometimes it's best to just not answer."

"Oh, this is going to be fun," he chuckles, "So, with your pull can I get free tickets to the Franklin Institute, place seems intresting?"

"Not a huge pull in scientific circles, and yet there kind of a museum... I probably could do it. Though buying the tickets would support them more."

They snapped their fingers, "Oh, that's it. Just buy some membership tickets, they probably have a family rate or something."

"Fine," he whines playfully, "I'll be the responsible citizen and support academia, god knows I have cash to burn," he admits, "So. ..what's your favorite movie, if it's not Indiana Jones I'll scream."

"Then scream," he laughed nad took a drink, "Fifth Element is a great one."

he does in fact scream, "Damn it, Ghostbusters for me."

"really? I would have thought wall Street or perhaps something else with Oscar level acting. Ghostbusters seems so... Moros."

"Ghostbusters is a classic," he says, "The effects where amazing, the story fun, and the actors had great charisma, it's the greatest movie of all time and nothing will change my mind." he laughs, "Although I do like The Butler, that one is a good drama."

"And so much history. His book is amazing to read. The stories, man, the stories the guy must have and didn't feel like he could share?" a shake of the head.

"I know right, imagine working in the White House that long with the 'we can talk around the help' attitude, he's probably heard things we can never imagine." he raises his glass, "To the Butlers!"

He laughed and leaned over to kiss Adam's cheek quickly, and then took a drink.

"To those that others ignore."

he takes the drink, "Ok," he tries to think, "Would choose one book to erase from history."

"None. You?"

"One written by an angry painter," he says taking a drink, "Favorite soda?"

"That is a lot of people's choice with that question. However, perhaps a difference between my organization and yours once again. One could argue that the book in question is a way to make sure it does not repeat itself," a bob of the head, "Favorite soda? If we're going full sugar, Cocacola. If we're going diet, diet pepsi. The Mountain Dews are less about flavor than energy boost, and so on and so forth."

"Another could argue it inspires others and it would be best forgotten," he says, "If I where to choose my favorite soda, Orange," he nods smiling, "It's simple and tastes amazing, Crush is my favorite brand but all in all even offbrand is delicous."

"You are such a basic white boy," a laugh.

"Oh, that's mean," he chuckles, "First Kenzie says I'm a nerd now you call me basic, between you two my self-esteem should pick a funeral date."

"Well we've already said that you're the old man of the group."

"Thirty fucking one," says before standing up, "Fine, care to see how this old man dances?" he asks, offering his hand

He stood, finished his drink, and took the hand, "After you..." a little bit of a chuckle, "and you can lead. I'll just try to not trip."

he takes his hand and leads him to the dance floor and leads on the floor, if anything else the club seems to be his element, his dance one of wild energy and desire, moving close to Bones that at some moments it seems to be merely a centimeter apart, his every action taking to make one thing clear, right now all he wants to do his dance with the librarian

Tommy reciprocates the dance. Relying on their grace, rather than social queues, they keep up with Adam. Grinding, and dancing and overall making their best attempt to keep up the energy.

he takes Bones hand gives them a twirl before pulling them close, then just as sudden resuming the rhythm, while dancing Bones might have seen a blond woman in a tiny red dress dancing with some others, just without the redskin and other such demonic attributes she normally would have

"So," Thespis says, "How's my score on dancing with the librarians?"

"Clearly an 8 out of ten. Very hot, very fluid, full of grace and expression... and there's always room to grow."

"Well, I hope to reach ten one day." he smiles putting his arm around him, "Oh, so I'm hot now, last I checked I was the old man." he teases

"You're a year older than me, depending on if you turned 31 this year or last."

"Thirty two next month," he bemoans, "Oh god, I really am the old guy of the gang, well I'd best use the dad energy for good," he puts his hand under Bones chin and lifts it to look at him, "So Bones, what do you say, could I be you daddy?" he teases while grinning

"Thirty one in October," he offered in return, and then watched Adam carefully. Then they decided to take advantage of their Prime veils and studied his mind.

Bones gave Adam a little playful series of slaps to his face, "Maybe we can play, maybe we can do more. We aren't doing that yet."

he smiles at the slap, "I meant just doing coffee, nothing more than that yet, but if ya don't want coffee either we can keep playing like this for now." he grins, "This is fun."

"I don't want to give into your darker demons, friend. I know I"m one to talk, and I still see people try to restrain me from my own Impatience."

he shrugs, "You took a little peek, didn't you." he sighs, "I've been working on that, haven't had a hook up in months," he fully admits, "Which. . .could explain why I've been so out of sorts." he chuckles, "But fine, you want to take this slow I won't begrudge you, doors always open." he says as he continues to dance

He continues to dance as well, hands hooked behind Adam's neck now, "I also am getting to know you, more and more. And your friend Kai. If you didn't have...that specific darkside, then... I'd be confused."

THey leaned in and put their lips a milimeter away from Adam's ear, "If I let you in my pants, which side of me would be first?"

"Fully depends on how your feeling," he whispers back, "Answers different for a good boy than it is a good girl," he whispers into his ear before softly exhaling on his neck, "Your beautiful in every way."

Something occurred to them, and they decided to use one of their better ways of socializing with others, to help fit in with the dance floor. They were really trying this time...

They started dancing closer and closer to Adam, continuing to grind and to grip and to fit in with those around them dancing to the club's music.

Adam smiles and dances just as close, grinding against the good Doctor Shanks, "Why Doc, if your aim is not to seduce me, your failing miserably." he purrs, "Kai has been begging when your going to visit next, for what it's worth, poor girls grown attached to the gang." he chuckles

As the Goetia was in sensory range, he decided to be nice and give them a boost, pushing essence from the area into her.

the blond girl currently grinding against another lass cackles of what seems to be no reason

Thespis for his part also cackles, "You spoil her Doc." he grins, "She'll want to reward you, be careful."

"She's part of the family. I tend the Hearth. That means to stoke the fires from time to time," a grin, and a tight squeeze, both hands, of Adam's ass.

"Just as you stoke mine," he teases, "How does it feel?" he asks before giving him a kiss

He returned the kiss, now grabbing Adam's hair and pushing deeper into the kiss, "I think... you and I need to decide where we're going from here."

he purrs as he explores his mouth, "I would like to go back to my place," we groans, "If you mean that in more of a 'where we are at', I'd like to be an open thing, Cadremates who make each other feel good, no real strings other than our loyalty and bond as a Cadre." he says holding his waist

"Let's go ... to the bathroom, and then we should be able to get to your house easy enough, yes? And I mean, we need to get out of here before N'Kai isn't the only one with a show."

he laughs at that, slapping his ass, "Now now Doc, I'd rather drive, bathroom to bedroom is too. . .vulgar for my taste."

"Let's go."

he takes Bones hand and drags him out, heading to the car, "You get the radio, Queen or Journey?"

"Bohemian," a grin.

he flips on the radio, "Is this the real life-" he begins and drives off
