Aurelio Menegi: Even with a change in court Aurelio wasn't opposed to doing his part to keep the freehold's armory in tip-top shape, and on this particular wintry evening the Elemental was doing just that. One of the cabins that ringed the central part of the freehold had its door open for others to enter as they wished, with the table covered with a fresh cloth and a number of blades and other implements of war laid across it, along with the gear needed to properly treat them. A fire roared in the nearby fireplace, doing a fair job at pushing back against the ever-deepening chill that the strengthened Wyrd within fostered, his focus on the blade in hand as he hummed idly to himself while he worked.

Arthur Phoenix: The soft sound of muttered sing-song preceded Artie's appearance in the doorway. It was the sort of absentminded self entertainment one made when they were up to the least stimulating sort of activities. Like delivering a bucket of fresh chex mix.

The tub of snack was cradled in the wizened's arms as he watched 'Relio work. It took a few seconds to realize he was staring before Artie piped up.

"Hi there, Aurelio. Doing some maintenance?"

Aurelio Menegi: Aurelio looked up as Artie announced his presence, giving the Wizened a nod. "Si. Finished with some personal projects and thought to come by and see what needed to be done here."

Arthur Phoenix: Artie nods in turn. "Cool... been there." He mutters. "It's nice that there's always something to do. Oh, hey. Want some chex mix?" He asks silently indicating the bucket in his arms.

"I was bringing this by for patrollers."

Aurelio Menegi: His eyebrow arched as he looked at the container, curious as to the contents. "Don't believe I've had such...willing to try, though. What is it?"

Arthur Phoenix: Artie's jaw drops.

"You've never had Chex Mix?! Oh gosh ok. So. It's a kind of trail mix. You use whichever chex cereal you like, they have rice, wheat, and corn options. Then some pretzels and nuts. Crackers. I used the little white cheddar cheez-its for this. Then a seasoning blend and some butter. Pour that on top and bake it a little bit for just a liiiitle toasting. And voila!"

Aurelio Menegi: "Ah...sounds interesting." He nodded, setting aside the blade he was working on and getting up from the table to find a bowl suitable for said snackage. As he did the shift in the Torrent's Mantle would likely come across to Artie, the steady heat of an open kiln replaced with a lighter warmth, full of green and promise. "Imagine that it serves well on patrols."

Arthur Phoenix: "I hope so. A good non parishable seems a good option," he beams setting down his charge.

A moment of rifling in his bag and he produces a box of ziplocs.

Then he tilts his head a bit curiously. ".... Hmm... are you a Spring now?"

Aurelio Menegi: "I am, si." He looked back towards Artie with a bowl in hand, giving a small nod. "Was not aware you did not know. I changed banners before Devon retook the crown last year."

Arthur Phoenix: "Have at. There's a scoop in the bucket." The summer answers, scooting it a bit closer.

"Hmm... i might've heard and forgot." He sheepishly scratches the back of his head. "There's a lot of.... things going on all the time. I should pay better attention."

He smirks wanly. "But uh... it looks nice on you?"

Aurelio Menegi: Aurelio nodded and did just that, claiming a scoop of the snack mix and setting it on the table beside the rest of the kit he'd been working with. "Perhaps, and no worries. Been spending more time in my own hollow as of late on projects, and have likely missed some things myself."

"Thank you." He replied with a small smile. "The Spear was a much-needed anchor at first, but it was not the best fit over time."

Arthur Phoenix: Again, the wizened nods. "Makes sense. I've heard a few people say that. I think... dealing with what happened is like those stages of grief? They shift over time and stuff."

Lifting the scoop, Artie puts some in a baggie for himself and joins in the munching.

"Not that I'm a good philosopher or nothin'." He swallows. "But can I... hear about your projects?"

Aurelio Menegi: "Indeed. As time went on, I realized I felt more like an artist who fought than a warrior who crafts, if you follow, and it was not a path I wished to continue walking."

He took a seat and claimed the bowl, taking a handful of the mix from within to try it; after a few bites he gave Artie an appreciative nod. "Very good."

"Si. Some are for the studio, orders and commissions of all sorts. One is something for Petra she asked me for some time ago that took time to design and is now in the works. I hope to get that finished soon."

Arthur Phoenix: "That... makes sense. I dunno if I'll ever feel that way. I guess I do more crafting than fighting. But.... i couldn't give up my spear."

At the mention of Petra, Arties eyes, and coincidentally the room, light up. "Oh my gosh! Speaking of Petra, did you hear she's engaged?! I'm really excited. I've never been to a wedding before."

Aurelio Menegi: "To each their own." Aurelio nodded, smiling at Artie's exuberance. "Indeed. Ran into her and her betrothed not too long ago; that is part of why the work on that project has been started, so it can be ready in time."

Arthur Phoenix: "Awesome! I can't wait to see it. I haven't decided what to make them yet. I kinda wanna ask if I ca. Design her a dress but like..." he whispers, "those are really important. And i read girls like shopping for them."

Aurelio Menegi: "So I hear. Would be worth it to ask, though. She may appreciate the effort from a friend for a day such at this."

Arthur Phoenix: "Hmm. Yeah. Maybe you're right. I guess tge worst that could happen is she says no.... or i guess the worst possible outcome is she says no and tells me not to go to the wedding." He gulps and looks worried.

Aurelio Menegi: "I doubt she would go that far, my friend." Aurelio replied with a reassuring smile. "She may be fiery but not that much."

Arthur Phoenix: "Yeah yeah. That's true." he nods, relaxing a bit. "Though I'm so interested to find out like... what they do. Do they have vampire priests or something? Do you serve food? Do the vows get Sealed? So many questions."

Aurelio Menegi: "One must wonder. It seemed they have a balance to strike between simplicity and some of the usual pageantry as they both desire it, but they have some time to decide." He smiled a touch, taking a nibble of the snack mix before continuing. "My own was simple but heartfelt, to both our likings."

Arthur Phoenix: "You got married?" Artie asks, eyes like saucers. "Man... everybody has lived so much life."

Aurelio Menegi: "Before I was taken, yes. Young by today's standards, from what I know." He nodded quietly, looking Artie over. "You have the time to do so now, if anything."

Arthur Phoenix: He shrugs. "I-I guess so but... Iunno. Being married is such a big deal. And I haven't done... pretty much anything. I guess I should make like....a bucket list or something. Try... stuff."

Aurelio Menegi: "A good idea. Best way to see what you may like and what to pursue further." He offered another nod, smiling softly. "I did something similar to ease into life here and now, both in Venice and Philadelphia."

Arthur Phoenix: "Oh? How are you doing with the list?" The squire queries.

Aurelio Menegi: "Is mostly done. Some things are mentioned here and there by those I work with so I add them if they sound interesting. The city is large enough to always find something new."

Arthur Phoenix: "I guess that's true. Well now I'll have to think of stuff for you to try. It'll probably be food. There's so many food things out there." He grins.

Aurelio Menegi: "Very true indeed. I have expanded my tastes on that front greatly since I came here." He nodded with a chuckle. "I was warned against the tourist traps, though, the sandwich shops with the lights and all. Not so good as other places."

Arthur Phoenix: "Oh yeah. Philly is kinda famous for a bunch of foods." He nods. "Cheesesteak, cream cheese. Tastykakes. Wooder ice."

Aurelio Menegi: "I...think I have had the last one, but I don't do cold sweets as much. Bit too familiar, if you follow."

Arthur Phoenix: Artie tilts his head curiously. "Hmm... oh. Duh. I like it myself. They do all kinds of fruity flavors. But yeah. Like you said. To each their own." He smiles brightly.

Aurelio Menegi: "Indeed." He nodded, offering a smile of his own in return. "What sort of projects are you working on?"

Arthur Phoenix: "An old one: knives. I want to make a good pair for myself. I taught myself knife fighting over the year because I decided I shouldn't take a spear everywhere." He admits.

"And for my shop, I'm putting together a Tinkerbell dress for a girl's birthday andletting out a suit for some business guy. Easy peezy really. Now's a small slump of free time after the holidays but before uh.... dance season."

Aurelio Menegi: "Ah...a good call, that. One blessing of my primary style not requiring a weapon is that I always have one." He said with a brief flexing of his hand, the stone scraping lightly against itself as he did so. "I see. I may speak with you for the wedding myself, perhaps. Depending on what dress they ask for, I may not have it at hand."

Arthur Phoenix: "Yeah! Sure. I'm always happy to make something. I wonder what colors they'll pick. I hope they're bright ones. I like a noce brightly colored outfit. Everyone's always so uh.... demure? I think that's the word. I dunno. I never gotta use it."

He munches at some more of the mix.

Aurelio Menegi: "There was talk of darker reds and greens, I believe, but can't say for sure. Suppose we shall see."

Arthur Phoenix: "Hm... that tracks. Guy does like dark red..." he nods absently.

"Well i should let you get back to your work and get this stuff where it goes. It was awesome seeing you, 'Relio. We should hang out for real some time. Show off some projects." He smiles as he stands.

Aurelio Menegi: "You as well." He nodded with a smile, watching as Artie rose to his feet. "Enjoy your day."
