The Green Room

Log

Jeremiah Hamilton: As one would expect for a Saturday evening the Green Room was abuzz with customers and conversations, with a trio of musicians on the stage offering the perfect mood music for a relaxing night out. The master of the house was present as he tended to be, doing the usual circuit around the tables to make sure that everyone was enjoying themselves.

Vincent Drake: In one of those tables was one Vincent Drake, dressed in a purple silk shirt, open suit jacket, and black pants, all custom, he came in with Obfuscate so he was just another face in the crowd but as Jay made his rounds, he turned it off and looked him dead in the eye, giving a nod.

Jeremiah Hamilton: The sudden registering of Vincent's presence made Jeremiah pause ever-so-slightly, with the Mastigos watching him for a moment before offering a nod. After finishing his conversation with the table he was near he made his way to the Daeva, a polite smile on his face. "Good evening. Night going well for you so far, I hope?"

Vincent Drake: Vincent nodded, "Better than the last two," he shrugged, "Found myself bothered by something unexpected, had myself a little fit before I had a drink to clear my senses." he took a drink of the Coffee, "Had to get the red out of my eyes."

Jeremiah Hamilton: "Understandable." He nodded, checking the room briefly to see if he was needed before looking back to Vincent. "If you want to talk on that more privately we can step into my office if you'd like."

Vincent Drake: Vincent got up from his seat and gestured, "Lead the way."

Jeremiah Hamilton: Jeremiah did just that, leading Vincent to a door near the entrance that opened into a small hallway, the first door within marked as an office by the placard attached to it. The office itself was cozy and kept tidy, paperwork neatly filed and photos of the staff and notable events hosted at the café on the walls.

He motioned for Vincent to take a seat before claiming his own, looking the Daeva over. "First and foremost, I owe you an apology. What I did was an invasion of your privacy under the guise of confirming the safety of someone I consider a friend, which is no excuse."

Vincent Drake: Vincent nodded, taking out a coin and playing with it in his fingers, letting it dance across his hand, "I don't know how it is with you and yours, but we, we have laws and under those laws that location is what is considered my Haven, my safe place in which not only I, but the thing inside me," he used the other hand to tap his chest, "Considers in every sense of the word, my territory." he breathed, "So what happened not only was a massive invasion of my privacy, but also was a grevious blow to my fundamental sense of security." he began, "Enough so that I very and truely considered at first to either do something, which was instinct, or take it to one of my own superiors who would take it to our PR people." his eyes never left Jay's, "Even asked Bones if their was a way I could complain to your managers."

Jeremiah Hamilton: Jeremiah nodded quietly, meeting Vincent's gaze easily. "We have similar guidelines on our end of things. I meant no ill will towards you or yours, and definitely don't want to cause a mess between our respective groups with the arrangements we have in place here. What would you consider fair recompense for what happened?"

Vincent Drake: "What would you consider 'fair recompense'?" he asked, not coming here wanting anything other than an understanding, but intrigued where this is heading

Jeremiah Hamilton: "I can set up wards to impede anyone else from being able to do such again with a key of your choosing, although I'd understand if you'd rather someone else set that up for you, along with a promise to not impinge on your privacy in that manner again."

Vincent Drake: "I have already contacted Bones about doing so." he revealed, "This incident has shown me more defenses then the mundane are needed in this world," he shook his head, "Forgive me but I'm naturally suspicious, is their a way you could make such a promise binding, like the lost do?" he asked, raising his brow

Jeremiah Hamilton: "No offence taken. Not currently, although it is something I can work towards."

Vincent Drake: "Ok," he tapped his foot and pocketed the coin, "I was an ass new years, on the high of just being turned," he admitted, "and if you already didn't care for me, this just made the feeling mutual, so, besides Val we don't seem to have anything in common in our circles, so, I avoid you, you avoid me, sound good?"

Jeremiah Hamilton: "Sounds good, and I'm good with keeping things cordial if we bump into each other at Maddy's or the like." He nodded, offering Vincent a hand. "Again I am sorry for this. Hope things go well for you in the future."

Vincent Drake: Vincent looked at the hand and it was a good moment before taking the hand and shaking it, "You hurt Val in any way shape or form, I won't be so nice next time." he simply said before heading back and leaving the cafe

Jeremiah Hamilton: "Understood. Have a good night."
