Titania:
Titania had been trying this new fangled Pokemon that Daniel had taught her about, she was waiting for the new game to come out and so tonight she was learning PokemonGo.

Now, that requires wandering, finding stops and just existing in a mortal space that isnt very welcoming of her. Its Philly so she could probably make it work but her answer was easier.

There was a few buildings around that didnt have roof access and were too high up to be seen from the street. So tonight she was perched on one of those rooftops. Battling a gym.

Her wings folded neatly on her back tail curled around the bar she is standing on. This place isnt exactly built for sitting on and playing.

Mei and Columbi were on the nearby railing keeping an eye out though there isnt exactly much this high up.

Avery:
Avery was souring above the city, letting the night air flow within their feathers. The raven was hard to see against the night sky, which suited her purposes well. She didn't want any distractions, just the sky, her, and that moment.

Strange things did not escape her notice however, and the black wings and tail of the vampire below her was one of them. Avery circled once, twice, and on the third time after noting the raven and cat landed on the ledge a bit away. She shifts like its the most natural thing in the world, landing as a raven and a half second later walking towards away from the ledge as a human...or at least appearing as such.

"Isn't it dangerous to have wings where people can see? You should hide them." Not judging, just curious. Avery's hands, at least as the mask was concerned, were in their pockets for the time being.

Titania:
Titania tilts her head, neck cracking as she does, her face turning halfway towards watching Avery.

"Perhaps, though. Up here no one can see me."

She pauses cracking a smile and talking in jest.

"Isnt shifting from Raven to what appears to be human where people can see you dangerous? You should have hidden that."

Avery:
"I could see you. Helicopters or planes or drones can see you."

Avery looks down the side of the building to confirm their thoughts.

"I checked that there was no one that could see me. There is no one looking here which is why I stopped. I am careful."

Avery stops for a second and looks at the vampire, a tilt of the head for a moment before speaking manner of factly. "You don't breathe, or have a heartbeat. Its weird."

Titania:
"And you are not human. I think you forget that you can see in the dark where most cannot. There are no helicopters or drones around here. I checked."

She finishes what she is doing and pockets the phone, bouncing down onto the roof proper.

"Nor do I blink. But I think you already knew that didnt you? What of it?"

Avery:
"I am human. I am just...outside other's expectations. Its still not good. You could be seen and that's bad."

Avery sits down, cross legged, and watches the other supernatural being as they hop down. Avery's eyes flick to the cat and fellow raven, an appreciative glance.

"I just thought you didn't have eyelids. Its just different, quiet. Its nice to not have to hear." Avery considers for a moment before deciding something. "I'm Avery, may I have your name?"

Titania:
Another tilt of the head. "You can turn from Raven to 'Human'. You can hear, or more, not hear my lack of heart beat and you know enough to be worried about humans spotting us."

There is a scoff. "I think we can both admit neither of us is human child."

As Columbi tilts his head and opens his beak. "Yes, yes. Im playing nice."

"Avery. You can call me Titania."

Avery:
"I am human and can turn into a raven, or a cat, or do a few other things. I think I'm human. But that's my own thoughts, you can have yours."

Avery looks to Columbi and smiles, realizes they are distracted, and looks back.

"That is a good answer and a good name. Don't trust anyone who asks that question, they might do bad things to you."

Titania:
"One of the lost who isnt at peace with that fact. Fair enough be what may then Avery the Human."

Columbi bounces over to Titania leaving a trail of shadow and pokes her in the side, which ears a roll of the eyes.

"Ah, yes, you would appreciate that name." A moment of a pause. "Does that mean I should not trust you then? For you asked me for my name?"

Avery:
Avery shakes their head. "I am not lost, I am here. I am human. Your friend is telling you the right things. He is quite nice."

Avery shrugs. "You can not trust me if you wish, I don't think I trust you. I asked to see if you were careful. You are careful. That's good."

Titania:
Titania shrugs. "Whatever gets you through the night little bird."

She reaches a hand down tracing it down Columbi's back swirling through the smoke.

"Yes, yes. I know, im not allowed to eat the locals." She scoops him up offering him to Avery. "Good, you shouldnt trust me. Hmm. Do I trust you, I think I trust you not to do anything stupid. That is a big start coming from me little bird."

Avery:
Avery's grip tightens in her pockets as the eating is mentioned.

"I don't like you, but he likes you. So I will follow how he sees you." Avery holds up an arm to let Columbi perch if he so chooses, leaving it entirely up to the bird.

"I can't understand him, what is his name?"

Titania:
Titania shrugs. "Fair enough. Trust and like are very different questions. I like playing with you, its fun."

Columbi hops onto Averys arm then her shoulder moving around to the other before settling on her head. Followed by a comment from Titania. "Now whom is being rude? His name is Columbi, he is of void and nothingness."

Avery:
Avery's left hand stays in her pocket, fingers tensing. She lets the Raven explore, having done the same thing before. She stays perfectly still to stay as a perch for Columbi. "Void and nothingness are good things to be made of it seems. If it suits Columbi then it is good."

Avery watches Titania closely, as if expecting her to jump and attack at any moment. It may as well have been a warning that she was prepared if such a thing occurred.

Titania:
"He hasnt known anything else. He was birthed from the Void and I have nurtured him in the time since."

Noticing the posture she leans forward not quite stepping but leaning awkwardly close to a step. "Im not going to bite you little bird."

Avery:
Avery's feathers bristle beneath their mask, a darker look in her eyes as a glint of metal is shown hidden in one hand. "If this is all he's known, how does he know this is what he wants? He should be allowed to explore too, to know. Do not cage him, let him choose."

Titania:
She precariously sits on the ground. The smile never leaving her face, Mei crawling into her lap. A hand stroking along her back.

"Ah. I see that is why you landed." her voice never leaves errily calm. "His form can only change if I was to will it. You dont even know what he is. He was barely sentient before me. Dont presume to know that which you speak about."

Avery:
Avery stands up in the blink of an eye, perfectly stable for Columbi but now with 2 knives in her hands and a defensive stance.

"You dictate his life, so you are bad. I know what he feels because thats what I felt. Let him go."

Titania:
Titania shakes her head.

"And this was turning into such a fun evening."

Looking to Columbi she speaks calmly. "Would you like to die? Be let go?" Her unblinking red eyes return to Avery. "Would you like me to kill my Raven? Thats what happens if I let him go."

Avery:
Avery grits their teeth. "No, not kill. Let him free. I-no. Let him pick his life."

Titania:
"You want me to let him go. If I let him go he dies. Now you want him to choose. To see if he wants to live or die? What kind of a choice is that. Little Bird. Would you rather be caged and alive or dead. That is what you are asking the void, the shadows he was born from. The nothingness. He chose to come to my side all those years ago."

Her voice remains calm through all of this, monotone almost. Aside from when she puts some inflection behind Little Bird.

Avery:
Avery's glare intensifies. "Die, that's the option. Dying is better than caged. Treat him with respect or I will kill you."

Avery offers a hand to Columbi to get off of her head. "He needs to choose to serve you, not be forced to."

Titania:
"He chose to come to me, from whatever is beyond. That is enough."

Columbi hops down onto Averys hand and then flickers over to Titania with the speed only allowed to those with the blessing of Vitae.

"It appears my night of fun is over. Have a good night Little Bird. Ill be seeing you if you decide you want to play some more. Come find me."

And with that her form explodes into a 150ft wide swarm of Violet Backed Starlings. Flying off into the distance.

Avery:
Avery offers no response, just watches. She prepares for an attack that never comes, watching as the birds fly off. A careful watch that she won't be followed before returning to a raven herself, and flying in the opposite direction. Content to let instincts take over for a bit.
