Club Vertigo

Log

A moderately sized establishment on the corner of Spruce and S 12th streets, Club Vertigo is one of the many bars in Philadelphia's Gayborhood. There's a reasonably large dance floor, a small stage for live music and/or karaoke night, and several different pride flags on the wall behind the bar proper. Of especial note, at least for the city's Changeling population, are the Fairest and Ogres who work there.

Spicy walks into the club, right after a walk into the Gayborhood, she seems a little centered on herself as she walks through the crowd to get to a table or at least some seating arrangement. She's wearing flannel shirt, denim cutoff to show rather muscular legs, the scent of flowers and fruits dancing on a refreshing breeze, her mien's skin sparkling like a fresh blanket of snow with dark veins of ice, mouth is blue, concealing icewrought teeth which her (trimmed) nails matches. She considers potential drinks options

Settled in at one of the booths, Etsy is very clearly people-watching with great delight. She's got a large glass of mead in front of her, both tiny webbed hands wrapped around it, and her sea-change eyes are wide and staring, watching everyone dance and flirt and smooch. Desire is wildly on display here, and so the little mermaid's Mantle is in full bloom (literally) with tiny white flowers climbing the back of the booth around her, her lilies in her hair perfuming the air around her, and the scent of Spring-morning sea breezes washing over the area around her.

Spicy's entrance means the tiny Spring sets her drink down and raises both hands in the air in order to wiggle her fingers wildly in Spicy's direction. "An hello to a friends!" she calls.

The blooming flowers draw the attention from afar and the gesture and call lures her in, further. The Ogress put on a smile when she notices the familiar Lost. "Hello to you too! Annie just told me about this place today, thought I could use a drink." she points to the other side of the booth, opposite Etsy. "can I join you?"

A happy bobbing of her head, dark curls sliding over her shoulders. "Oh, is a goodness of an Annie to tell you, this place is a happiness. A friend Annie does a works here, is goodness for an Annie to do a have of a job. I do think probablies she is getting so many good gossips." Etsy pats the table in invitation, as if it is her personal table which she owns and she's inviting Spicy to it. "Please do a joins, I will do a buying of the drinks! What is best for a Spicys?"

Spicy quickly throw a glance around, see what kind of drinks are being held and passed around and smile. "Strawberry daiquiri if they get that sort of fancy here, or just Fireball shots if they don't have that." She slides into the side of the booth and hits her knee on the table trying to sit comfortable. "Thanks Etsy!"

"Oh, is always to have a daquiri at a gay bar," Etsy laughs aloud: her laughter is a little like singing, in its way, rising and falling. She pushes herself up to where she's kneeling on the booth seat, because she is quite small, and waves an arm to flag down the server. "Can havings one daquiri of strawberries, please? And whatevers of an elseness a friend Spicy orders, is on the tab of Esther please. Thankness!"

It's real easy to be the customer that people want to help when you tip the way that Etsy tips. They even put up with her ridiculous attempts at the English language.

Etsy slides back into her chair, dropping her hands into her lap. "Of coursness. How is a Spicys?"

"I'm not sure, lots of stuff happened recently but I'm getting a better understanding at the weird side of things." Spicy quietly thanks Etsy for the tab thing with a heart-shape with her hands. "Met someone who shared the same er... place on the other side today, that...was special." She tries to remember something else. "I cooked a steak from an apple and made some jam with what I got from my garden."

She swings her small feet in their silk slippers happily under her chair as though she's treading water with a tail, sort of slowly swooshing her feet back and forth as she picks up her glass of mead and takes a drink of it. "Oh?" This little noise is made in response to the 'gaining a better understanding' bit. "Mmm, can have a difficulties," she noises thoughtfully. "And ... yes, specials. Is a goodness or a badness? Can has a friendship?" Did she really just in all seriousness say 'can has'? Yes, she did.

"... steak from an apples?" There's suspicion there.

"Scourge was feeding these weird apples to his big dog and they tasted a little meaty, so I tried to cook them like steaks. I think they'd be better in a stew." Spicy explains, her gaze tracking, with difficulty, the waiter through the crowd, then her attention shift back to Etsy. "I think it'll be good, but I think me and Aurelio both need a bit of time to recover from the shock." she tilt her head. "Maybe he and I will be friend or..." Realizing there could be another way to interpret Etsy's words here, she adds "...if you're asking if we can be friend, I'd be happy with that too."

"Oh, so still a plant lifes," agrees Etsy, nodding her head. "Can eat a strangeness of fruits, that is, which grows in an environment very particulars and thorny, but real fruits, not so muchness." One webbed hand rises to tap the open lilies blossoming in her dark hair, as if that has something to do with it, or explains something. "Aurelio. Is a name of niceness. Do not think I have had a meetings of Aurelio," she confesses thoughtfully, taking another swallow of her mead.

"Oh! I had an assuming that already was a friend Spicy," she laughs, blushing briefly, a light blue sliding across her porcelain-pale cheeks.

Spicy laughs heartily and her smile grows warmer. "I'm happy being friend with you, I just try not to assume I'm on friend basis. I know some people are more guarded with it and wouldn't like someone presuming so soon." A beat. "You're fine Etsy'" She take the drink from the waiter when they drop by, she sips the drink and it sends a little shiver down her back, she puts the pink drink forward, for a toast. "To making friends easily."

More laughter from Etsy, and she wraps both of her webbed hands around the glass, her sea-change eyes blinking slowly at the big Ogre. Spicy has more than a foot on her, but that doesn't seem to bother her. "Oh! Is good to not assume, but is a friendship of Etsy," the little mermaid reassures. "To a making of friends easily!" The glass of mead gets raised and clinked against Spicy's, before she takes another drink.

Spicy clinks back with the drink, though delicately as she could, the drink wasn't likely to come into something sturdy like mead. At least that's the narrative choice Spicy would make. She takes a long drink of the strawberry drink, satisfaction settling on her expression.
