Ordo Dracul Chapterhouse

Log

Floretta Williams: Floretta is sitting down right in the middle of one of their room on the Moshulu and she's reading a book, her eyes narrowed with interest on the words written on the page, there's a notepad right next to her. She's wearing a black t-shirt and a black pair of slacks, her hair are now black too, she is pale, due to make up, as she's currently blushed, her lips painted a deep red.

Daniel Hawthorne: Daniel made his way onto the old ship with a few things on his mind, mostly of a more mystical bent, keeping an eye out for others already partaking in the chapterhouse's amenities. As was his wont the blushed Haunt was dressed neatly with a dark blue scarf around his neck, a laptop bag slung over one shoulder. Upon spotting Floretta he paused, watching her for a moment before giving a nod. "Evening."

Eyrgjafa Freyjasdottir: Eyrgjafa hasn't been to the Moshulu for a while, but she's there tonight, browsing through the small stock of books they keep aboard. At least until the sound of voices, however soft, draws her attention and she emerges from the small nook she'd been in. "Evening, Floretta. Daniel. How've you been?" The Daeva's dressed very casually right now; purple tanktop and a pair of jean shorts, also Blushed.

Floretta Williams: Floretta doesn't immediately responds, it takes a moment before she react to Daniel's voice and it's when Eyrgjafa speaks up that she finally tear herself away from her book, she closes it, with the page marker in then sets it aside. "Sorry, I was really deep into this one." a little stretch of her legs and arms above her head.

She smiles and shrugs. "been doing okay." then a look to Daniel. "What's new?"

Daniel Hawthorne: "No worries." Daniel replied to Flo with a polite smile, nodding to Eyr when she arrived. "Well enough. Did some further research on what might happen with the idea I spoke with you two on before, and I decided I wanted to give it a try. I let the mage in question know, just waiting to hear back from them."

Eyrgjafa Freyjasdottir: "Yeah? I hope you get word soon, then." Eyrgjafa says, considering Daniel for a moment. "Have you tried talking to any of the other mages locally about it? They might have useful ideas."

Floretta Williams: "What was it you wanted them to do? Try to fix the thing on your neck, right?" Floretta asks, absently motioning to her own neck. "And would you be okay if some of us would be there to witness it?"

Daniel Hawthorne: "Not yet, no." He replied to Eyr first, then nodded to Floretta. "Correct, and I was planning on asking if either of you would mind being there. From what I was able to find their magic can temporarily fix the issue, but if the wound is the manifestation of my clan curse like I think it the curse will find a new way to manifest while the effect is active."

Eyrgjafa Freyjasdottir: "I've no objection, assuming the time and date you arrange work within my schedule," Eyrgjafa says, shrugging one shoulder. "Then again, my schedule is fairly flexible right now."

Floretta Williams: "I'd love to be there. Hopefully the wizard in question won't mind it too much." Floretta considers. "I'm a little less flexible on schedule, but we'll see how that works" a beat. "I really wonder how the whole thing will interact together, in terms of magical and curses."

Daniel Hawthorne: "Doubt she will, but I'll let you know." He nodded quietly. "I'm curious as well, I'll admit. That and even if the mark of my blood shows itself in another way it would be nice to...well, hear my own voice again, even if it's only for a little while."

Eyrgjafa Freyjasdottir: "That's fair," Eyrgjafa nods. "Even if the effect is only temporary, that will at least give us avenues to pursue in search of a long-time solution."

Floretta Williams: "That probably depends on their methods to do it too. If they can break or alter curse or if it's a physical change or maybe just cosmetic." a shrug. "I've only interacted with one Wizard, he was pretty cute and sharpened my mind to help out with the rat thing."

She leans vaguely toward Eyrgjafa and squeeze her forearm.

Daniel Hawthorne: "She mentioned rewinding time, so in theory it would be taking it back to before I was injured. It wouldn't have an effect on anything else as far as my current nature goes, though."

Eyrgjafa Freyjasdottir: Eyrgjafa blinks as she processes that. "I wonder how that works. Surely taking your physical form back to before you were injured would of necessity take it back to before you were Embraced, as well?"

Floretta Williams: She smiles and shrug. "Or maybe she can just target the wound in question?" She wonders and tilt her head to the side. "Time magic ? Damn that's some doctor who shit"

Daniel Hawthorne: "One would think, but that's what she said." He offered a small shrug, smirking at Flo's comment. "It is...part of why I'm willing to try it, I'll admit."

Eyrgjafa Freyjasdottir: Having died before television was a thing, Eyrgjafa just looks blank at the reference. "Doctor who? Have you both forgotten their last name somehow?"

Floretta Williams: "It's a british TV show about time travelling aliens and people that accompany them. It's a little on the weird, weird side of things. I can enjoy the watch from tiem to time." Floretta nods. "It's pretty longstanding too, like, I'm pretty sure it's started maybe in the 1950s"

Daniel Hawthorne: "Sixties, at least. I got into the more recent seasons thanks to a friend of mine; it's a fun watch, if a little weird at times."

Eyrgjafa Freyjasdottir: "Huh. I'll have to check it out sometime, then. Is there any especially good starting point?"

Floretta Williams: "Not enough of a fan to explains, but I can try to look around for it. Maybe we could do that when we want to watch things." She points to Eyrgjafa and grins, then looks back to Daniel. "Or would you know?"

Daniel Hawthorne: "The newer seasons are pretty self-contained, so that's not a bad place to start. Those started in 2005, if I remember correctly."

Eyrgjafa Freyjasdottir: "Good to know. Are they on Netflix, do you know?"

Floretta Williams: "I don't think they are, no. But it's probably possible to find them somewhere. Or on Blue rays." Floretta explains with a little nod.

Daniel Hawthorne: "Amazon Prime as far as streaming goes...that and HBO Max, I think."

Eyrgjafa Freyjasdottir: "So noted." Eyrgjafa hmmms slightly. "How're your studies going, Daniel?"

Daniel Hawthorne: "Going well. Still laying down the foundations for the next step in the Ascendant, but hoping to get that going soon. Yourself?"

Eyrgjafa Freyjasdottir: "Focusing on Ziva's, mostly. Trying to recreate the deeper coils, since there's nobody in town who admits to having any knowledge of them."

Daniel Hawthorne: "Ah...best of luck." Daniel nodded quietly, finally claiming a seat for himself and setting his bag down beside him. "I take it the knowledge is scarce due to it's...less-than-accepted status outside of the city?"

Floretta Williams: "That's basically it. I'm not sure what I'll do once I reach that particular step." Floretta explains "I've been working on a lot of other things, so I'm a little slower than Eyrgjafa on that particular path." she poke her tongue out.

Eyrgjafa Freyjasdottir: Eyrgjafa shrugs one shoulder. "Just a question of prioritisation, honestly."

Daniel Hawthorne: "Fair enough. The idea behind it is interesting, I'll admit. I want to finish mastering the Ascendant first before looking into another Coil, though."

Floretta Williams: "I'm currently trying to see if I couldn't become a little more helpful for the city, I'm aiming for the Keeper job for the Bala Cynwyd." a shrug. "Project is still ongoing, not sure if I'll get it done, but I figured I'd try my hand at it."

Eyrgjafa Freyjasdottir: "That's reasonable," Eyrgjafa nods to Daniel. "My studies to date may have been rather spread out, but there is nothing wrong with focusing on one at a time."

Daniel Hawthorne: "I liked the idea of laying the full foundation first before branching out. That and some of the later coils can be handy in my line of work as time goes on."

Floretta Williams: "Yeah I could use some of that focus." A little laugh there and she shrugs. "I wonder if we could come up with a new one." a tap of her finger against her chin.

Eyrgjafa Freyjasdottir: "A new coil or a scale?"

Daniel Hawthorne: Daniel looked to Floretta at the question, an eyebrow arched curiously.

Floretta Williams: "New coil, something to help with discipline maybe?" A tilt of her head. "I wonder if that would be possible at all." She pokes at her her phone, quickly tapping on the screen.

Eyrgjafa Freyjasdottir: "That could be interesting. Where would you start developing it, though?"

Daniel Hawthorne: "Good question. Nothing wrong with looking into it, though...never know what you might come up with."

Floretta Williams: "I don't know yet? I'm moslty bouncing the idea around in my head." She run her fingers down her hair, adjusting it slightly.

Eyrgjafa Freyjasdottir: "Fair enough," Eyrgjafa says, shrugging one shoulder. "Something to think about, in any case."

Daniel Hawthorne: "Mmm." Daniel nodded, sparing a brief glance at his watch. "Do forgive me, but I should get some work done."

Floretta Williams: Floretta smiles and waves to Daniel. "Alright, good luck with your work, Daniel, hopefully we get to talk to each other soon." She waves, then turn to Eyrgjafa.

"What do you plan on doing now?"

Eyrgjafa Freyjasdottir: "See you around, Daniel," Eyrgjafa nods to him, before turning to Floretta. "I didn't have plans. I assume you do, though?"

Floretta Williams: Floretta wags her eyebrow and makes a rather convincing 'cat activation' noise and poof there's a stocky black cat with gray and white streaks, more aging sign than a mix of colors. She stretches a little bit and moves closer to Eyrgjafa.

Eyrgjafa Freyjasdottir: "Oh, what a cute cat," Eyrgjafa plays along. "I wonder if anyone owns her?"

Floretta Williams: The cat jumps onto Eyrgjafa's lap and starts to knead her shirt while staring directly up in her eyes.

Eyrgjafa Freyjasdottir: "Oh, I guess not. I'll just have to take her home and name her something cutesy, then," Eyrgjafa says, smirking down at the cat.

Floretta Williams: Floretta perches on her hind legs and rises up to press her forehead against Eyrgjafa's nose before poofing back up into human form, sitting on Eyrgjafa's lap. "Felt like it."

Eyrgjafa Freyjasdottir: "Fair enough," Eyrgjafa chuckles, wrapping her arms around Floretta.
