Jeremiah Hamilton: Running into someone from a previous time in your life is always an interesting moment, especially when it comes to the magical community, so getting a chance to catch up with Adam was decently high on Jeremiah's list despite their differences in philosophy. So the Warlock had rang up his tower-mate to invite him out to brunch at everyone's favorite diner, claiming a booth for the pair and nursing a cup of coffee as he waited for the other man's arrival.

Adam Harken: Adam had walked through the portal and ordered some waffles and bacon, continuing his quirk of ordering chocolate milk as well. He took his meal and sat across from Jay. "So, how have you been these past years?" he opens

Jeremiah Hamilton: "Pretty good, honestly." He replied with a smile, lifting his coffee cup as a salute while the other man got settled. "Got the cafe set up not too long after I got here, been working with a lot of local musicians to help them get their voices heard, fell in with a great cadre, all that."

"How was it for you in LA after I left?"

Adam Harken: "Oh you know, time goes, things change." he says, avoiding the question, "Forming a Cadre myself, whose in yours?"

Jeremiah Hamilton: The obvious dodge earned Adam a 'really?' look from Jay but he didn't push it, taking a sip of his coffee before answering. "Hearth, Diamond, Rashida and Harmony."

Adam Harken: "Have not had the pleasure of meeting them yet," he takes a bite of his bacon, "Bones and Aperture are in mine, we're looking for a Moros and Thyrsus for a Perfected Path, preferably from Orders other than the ones the current members are in."

Jeremiah Hamilton: The unfamiliar Shadow Name took a moment to click but when it did he nodded. "Haven't had the pleasure of meeting Aperture yet, although I've heard about her from Klaire. Best of luck in finding folks."

Adam Harken: "Thanks, so, you and Polly, how did you two meet?"

Jeremiah Hamilton: He smiled warmly at the mention of his other half, sitting back in his seat. "We happened to both pick the same park to play guitar at one afternoon and ended up jamming together with another friend of hers. We had a proper 'get to know you' date after that and things went from there."

Adam Harken: "I'm taking a break from dating," he says, "Just going to focus on myself and indulge in no strings hook ups, just focus on my career and Arcana." he shrugs, Jay might recall that back in LA, Adam was in a pretty close relationship with a Moros in his Cadre by the shadow name of Ruby.

Jeremiah Hamilton: Jeremiah nodded, a question clear on his tongue but halted by the arrival of the server with his own meal of Pigs in Mud waffles and a side of scrambled eggs. Once the server had headed off he looked back to Adam. "Guessing things fell through with Ruby, then?"

Adam Harken: the name brings a flinch, and he sighs, "Keepers got wiped out, Ruby defected to the Seers and cleaned house before she left. . .except me."

Jeremiah Hamilton: Jay winced in sympathy at the explanation. "That's rough. Sorry to hear that."

Adam Harken: "That's why I'm here, it was five years ago but seems in the course of those five years I've gained the stigma of guilt by association."

Jeremiah Hamilton: "Right. The 'why did she leave you alive' questions and all that." He nodded, frowning quietly. "Sorry you had to go through that."

Adam Harken: "What doesn't kill you makes your stronger, as the saying goes." he shrugs, "I'm here, I'm alive, new Agency, new Cadre, looking to make a new cult too."

Jeremiah Hamilton: "True enough. Think we're both proof of that in our own way." He offered another nod, eyebrow quirking up a touch at that last little bit. "What're you aiming for on that front?"

Adam Harken: "Mystery Cult, actors, musicians, artists, people in that sphere," he shrugs, "Front is wild parties, inside is the teaching that art doesn't imitate life, it shapes it, that art is foci for shaping the world around you," he chuckles, "It won't be actual magic theory or teachings but enough to make it seem credible, cultivate contacts, resources, sleepwalkers. . .you know how we work." he chuckles, we being the Gaurdians, "Bones suggested I ask Polly if she'd be interested in helping out with it, but I don't want to step on your shoes as it where."

Jeremiah Hamilton: "Ah." He mulled on that for a long moment, taking a few bites of his meal as he did so. "Not sure I'd want her involved in that, honestly. I know that rabbit hole can go pretty deep with you all."

Adam Harken: "Hence why I wouldn't ask her," he nods, "Hoping to find a sleepwalker or something else from our side to help me out before I fully start it, I have a name planned and all, the Children of the Muses."

Jeremiah Hamilton: "Best of luck. I know there are some other performers floating around among the community at large here."

Adam Harken: "Thanks, got deputized to help with the robo-cop shit, although I'm to focus the political side of the investigation."

Jeremiah Hamilton: "Seeing those things in action during the riot was...something." He shook his head. "The sooner we can get them dealt with the better."

Adam Harken: "This is just showing me on one's read Orwell," he shrugs, "I thought Robo Cop was warning people, hey, robot cops are bad assholes."

Jeremiah Hamilton: "These are Seers we're talking about, they look to stuff like that as an instruction manual."

Adam Harken: he chuckles, "True, just though the sleepers would realize that." he shrugs, "So, have they given you an trouble?"

Jeremiah Hamilton: "Not me directly, but I know that they've got a full profile on myself and the cadre along with some other people I care about, so I'm keeping an eye on the matter."

Adam Harken: "I'm honestly a tad concerned if they barge in my place for drug charges." he chuckles

Jeremiah Hamilton: "Hopefully it won't come to that, and if so, find better hiding spaces." He smirked, tackling a bit more of his meal before continuing. "In all honesty, though, best of luck in getting that handled. The riot let folks see what those things are really like, and we need more of that to turn public opinion against them."

Roger Gimlin: Roger Gimlin, Magician Extraordinaire, walked through the portal with a bit of a chuckle. Magic was still cool, even to someone that regularly portals places.

Though they didn't look exactly like that guy right now. He had a long duster around him, with flannel beneath it and heavy blue jeans and black running shoes. This black duster is made of an advanced composite material that looks and feels like genuine leather but comes with far more resistance to both stabbing and piercing. Despite almost looking an ordinary duster, not a piece of armor, this article of clothing provides significant protection, and is made with cutting edge materials that are not available to the general public.

"Hey guys," as he swept the room with his gaze.

Adam Harken: "Morning," Adam nods, "Stage magician, right?"

Jeremiah Hamilton: Jeremiah looked towards the portal as Roger stepped through, smiling a touch and giving the Courser a salute with his coffee cup. "Hey Roger. Love the jacket."

Roger Gimlin: "Indeed... and you're Adam Harken, talent agent, something something. Guess watching you and Jeremiah here interact I read the situation well!"

And to the duster, agrin, "Yeah, one of my friends made it."

Then he turned to get a large order of every type of meat , with no carbs, the restaurant had for breakfast. He also got a pot of tea and brought it over, "May I join you guys?"

Adam Harken: "Feel free, we where just discussing our mutual dislike of robo-cops and the pricks handling them."

Jeremiah Hamilton: "Go right ahead." Jeremiah scooted over to give Roger room, in fact, getting a better look at the jacket as he got settled. "That is slick. Armored as well or just fashionable?"

Roger Gimlin: "Ah. Yes. That's on the back burner for me right now. Other problems..." he sat down next to Jay and doctored his tea. Roger tapped the plates hidden inside the jacket, "Armored."

Adam Harken: "What other problems?"

Roger Gimlin: "The problematic kind," with a wry smile.

"Bad guys doing bad things and looking for good people."

He sipped the tea, and then added a little more lemon and a touch more sugar.

Jeremiah Hamilton: "Think I've heard about it." He nodded to Roger, taking a sip of his coffee. "Hope you're able to shut it down soon."

Adam Harken: Adam, having no idea what the bad guys and bad things are, simply shrugs, "Well, whatever it is I hope you and yours handle it well." he offers, "Anything I can do to help?"

Roger Gimlin: "If there is, I'm sure official overtures can be made between my organization and whichever one you belong," not said with malice or anything else, rather it was more about doing things by the book and politely.

Jeremiah Hamilton: "Who is your current emissary on that front, out of curiosity?"

Adam Harken: Adam sips his drink

Roger Gimlin: "Hrm. My guess would be any, since the Horn was blown by Summer," he mused aloud, Spring has Jack Martingale. Autumn has Patchie..." he tapped his finger on the table, "And there is also Margret."

Jeremiah Hamilton: "Noted. I know Jack, at least in passing." Jeremiah nodded, filing away that info for later use. "Besides that, how are things going on your end?"

Adam Harken: Adam eats, letting them converse

Roger Gimlin: To Adam, "Sorry, used to being more secretive. Still trying to work on the more... opening up. I am one of the Lost. There is at least one, possibly more, Lost who serve themselves by kidnapping Lost or even humans to sell to Markets on the other side, in town."

A very simian exhalation of breath through their lips, "So that's what the problem is. Used to holding my cards close to the chest, as it were."

Jeremiah Hamilton: Now it was Jay's turn to go quiet, polishing off his meal while letting the two converse for the moment.

Adam Harken: "So some asshole wants to take you folks back," he sighs, "Fuck, it's like everyone's decided to bother the supes at once, wouldn't be surprised if the Vamps are dealing with some bullshit." he leans back, "With that in mind, I don't know enough about the Lost to be able to help you, sorry."

Roger Gimlin: "Well, hopefully you would do this at any time, so, if you hppen to see what looks like someone being kidnapped or dragged through a door they don't want to go through? DOn't let it happen? Also, don't go through the door yourself."

Jeremiah Hamilton: "When it rains it pours, it seems." Jay nodded to Adam's comment, then again to Roger's. "Can do. I've heard things can get...interesting over there."

Adam Harken: "I'd rather be in hell any day, sometimes I miss the place."

Roger Gimlin: "Looks like my order is ready. I wish you gents a good day," they stood and bowed to them before heading out through the Mage portal, not the Lost kind.

Jeremiah Hamilton: "Have a good one, Roger, and stay safe." Jay lifted his mug in salute to the Courser as he headed out, then looked back to Adam with a smirk. "You miss it?"

Adam Harken: "You don't?" he asks right back, "It may have been the closest thing to hell, but Pandemonium opened my eyes, taught me to be myself, so yeah, I miss it." he smiles

Jeremiah Hamilton: "Being there served it's purpose, but I'm not in any particular rush to head back there." He replied, finishing up his coffee and setting the cup to the side of the table for a refill.

Adam Harken: "How did you awaken?" he asked, "Not sure you ever told me."

Jeremiah Hamilton: "Don't think it came up, no." He sat back in his seat, looking Adam over. "It kicked off while I was driving back into LA proper with my girlfriend at the time after a party we went to. We got into a really bad wreck and I went off into the Supernal while the fire crews were cutting us out of the car. She...didn't make it, and I was in a coma for a few weeks while I went through the whole ordeal in Pandemonium and a couple months of physical therapy after the fact."

Adam Harken: he nods, "Sorry to hear," he says, "Mine came from a week of pure disassociation, took the part in a school play, just to get in the cheerleaders skirt," he rolls his eyes at his old self, "Faust, I awoke to Pandemonium due to fucking Faust, got lost in the role, didin't know where I ended and Mephisto began, awoke during the fucking play itself."

Jeremiah Hamilton: "Thanks. It was rough for a while, but I got through it with help from the Ladder there." He smirked a touch at the skirt-chasing bit, nodding as Adam continued. "Rather fitting, that."

Adam Harken: "Fate has an ironic sense of humor," he shrugs, "After I woke up it was a week before Kirk approached me, that's when I joined the Guardians."

Jeremiah Hamilton: "Not sure if you knew Hanover with the Arrows there, but he was on the fire crew and picked up that I was taking that long walk while they were getting me out of the car. The consilium had to wait until I woke up to bring me in, as it were, and I'll admit I was an ass about it at first." He smirked a touch, wry little thing that it was. "Then again my whole life had been turned upside down so they didn't blame me too much."

Adam Harken: "I got dragged in through Kirks cult," he recounts his own first months, "I was already awake so he let me help around with it, drive this person, keep some notes on another, make sure only people on the guest lists walked in the door," he describes, "It was only when I proved I had a good head on my shoulders that he let me in on the Gaurdians, first few months he was more a Path mentor, but I showed I was responsible so he brought me into the fold of the Order, looking back he set up more than a few scenarios I had to deal with."

Jeremiah Hamilton: "That tracks, yeah." He offered a nod, thanking the passing server for refilling his coffee before doctoring it with a notable amount of sugar. "It does suit you well, I will say."

Adam Harken: "The Gaurdians?" he raises an eyebrow, "How so?"

Jeremiah Hamilton: "You seem to have the right mindset for it, from what I've seen. I know we butt heads on the philosophical front, but you put your nose to the grindstone when you need to for what you believe in."

Adam Harken: he chuckles, "I know most people hate us," he says, "Bones said I'm helping them break some biases, I know we do shit that makes people uncomfortable, but someone has to."

Jeremiah Hamilton: "We all serve a purpose for the greater good, even the darker parts of it."

Adam Harken: "Exactly, we are all one dragon." he says, putting his cash on the table, "I need to get going, this was a goo chat." he says, "Best wishes for the wedding."

Jeremiah Hamilton: "That it was, and thanks." He gave a nod, staying seated for the moment. "See you around, and if you all need a hand with the robot business let me know."

Adam Harken: "I'll keep that in mind." he says, walking out the portal
