Asbolus: The night was relatively young as Asbolus slipped through the portal into the diner, a faint whirl of cold air following after the Darkling as he went. Having just left work he was dressed sharply in black slacks, a wine-dark dress shirt and black tie with a jacket to keep off the chill, pale eyes scanning the room and its current patrons as he looked for a table to claim for himself.

Vincent Drake: Already sitting was Vincent, spending the night trying to avoid Elysium for a bit, nothing seems to go well when he's there. Other than the fact he may have made a deal with Lilith herself for the chance to turn into a Raven, plus eating his own foot while a the club, weeks been nice, he's dating the cutest bird in the world so that's a decent trade off. His eyes wander to the door where a new comer has walked in, could be a vampire from the attire. . .no wait, that's stereotyping, but the chill wind that followed seemed something the Lost would do he noticed. Anyway he gave a friendly wave, always need to make new contacts after all.

Asbolus: Asbolus gave Vincent a brief once-over as he spotted the young Kindred, his gaze intense but his expression polite as he nodded in return to the wave. When he spoke his accent was pure Londoner, with no sign of the accent having wavered despite his time in the States. "Good evening. Mind if I join you?"

Vincent Drake: "Sure," he says, "Always glad to meet a new face," Vincent says motioning to the other end of the table, "Name's Vinny, a pleasure."

Asbolus: The name set off a brief tickle in the Darkling's mind, a note of curiosity crossing his features but he made no assumptions as of yet. "Asbolus, a pleasure to meet you as well." He offered as he claimed his seat, moving with a notable grace that might seem familiar to the Daeva.

Vincent Drake: "Lost?' he asks, "I'm sorry, you move like one." he shrugs, he's met at least, what was it six or seven changelings now and he's noticed a 'supernatural grace' to them.

Asbolus: "Do I...will keep that in mind." He smiled a touch at that, nodding. "I am, yes. Which group are you a part of, if I may ask?"

Vincent Drake: "Vampire, just joined up," he explains, "It's been. . .not a smooth transition I'll admit, but I'm adapting." he shrugs, "I've met some of your kind the last few nights, decent people overall." he says nodding, "It's been. . .educational, learning about all the 'magic' folks, I feel like I'm in an urban fantasy novel." he says chuckling

Asbolus: "Best of luck to you. The early days are the more hectic ones no matter what path brings one into the night, I've come to notice." He nodded, offering a small smirk. "At times. The community here at large is more enmeshed than in other cities from what I've heard, but I've found it enjoyable to have more opportunities to know our fellows better."

He took a moment to put in his order with a passing waitress - hot tea and a Green Forest omelet - before turning his attention back to Vinny. "You wouldn't happen to be Avery's other half, would you?"

Vincent Drake: At that, he blushes and seems caught off guard, "I, well. . .word get's around I guess," he mutters collecting himself, "Yes, I'm Avery's boyfriend." he answers, getting ready for a 'if you hurt them' speech, "And I plan on giving them the best life they could dream of."

Asbolus: He gave a warm smile at that sudden blush, nodding quietly. "I wish you both the best of luck on that endeavor. Avery has spoken highly of you."

Vincent Drake: "They have?" he asks, the blush not going away, "So. . .you know Avy then?"

Asbolus: "I was one of their initial guides when they returned from the Thorns and have helped them along as needed since."

Vincent Drake: "Oh. . .is this the 'meet the parents'?" he half jokes, getting a bit nervous of meeting their mentor, "Um, nice to meet you, are you in the Summer court like them?"

Asbolus: "One could look at it that way." He said with a chuckle, shaking his head at the question that followed. "Winter, in my case."

Vincent Drake: "So, um. . .how did you meet Avery, I met them here actually myself, that was a weird night." he recalls, "Also met someone I want to avoid and another whose a useful contact, but I'd say Avy was the best find." he smiles

Asbolus: "I was one of the first of us who came across them after their return and helped to coax them into joining with the rest of us. They've taken to it quite well since in my opinion, and I'm proud to call him a dear friend."

Vincent Drake: "I know they where taken by. . .well something," he admits, "They don't talk about it and I won't press it, but from what I gather from the other Lost. . .fuck it pisses me off," he sighs, "Reminds me of my own circumstances, but I'll admit it sounds worse than what I went through."

Asbolus: "That's a story for them to tell if they wish, but we've all gone through our own tribulations in Their hands. Avery mentioned that you were brought in forcefully yourself?"

Vincent Drake: he slunks in his seat, "My sire. . .well I met her at a party, she whispered sweet nothings and I thought I was gonna get lucky, next thing I know she's turned me into a walking corpse, however turns out consent is important when making a new one and she broke a law by not asking me about it." he shrugs, "Bitch is dead but I got now one teaching me beyond the basic rules."

Asbolus: Asbolus nodded quietly, thanking the server as she brought his food around and taking a moment to doctor his tea with a bit of sugar as he replied. "Sorry to hear that you went through that. I imagine it's quite an adjustment. It is surprising that no one has taken you under their wing to better guide you, however."

Vincent Drake: "I did join up. . .one of our Courts," he thinks of a way to describe the covenants, "And was given the basic run down, but other than that it's been more boss/employee than teacher/student," he admits, "If anyone wants to 'adopt' me so to say I'd welcome it, until then I feel more like an intern."

Asbolus: "I see. Hopefully you find that source of guidance soon." He took a sip of his tea, nodding with approval, then looked Vincent over. "Are you from Philadelphia yourself?"

Vincent Drake: "Born and raised," he nods, "And now I'm learning I never really knew the city."

Asbolus: "Interesting how that works, isn't it? I wager if I ever returned to London I would feel the same way, privy to parts of the city I wasn't aware of before. I've found Philadelphia to be quite welcoming, however, once you get to know her eccentricities."

Vincent Drake: "Just don't be out during a sports event, and if you are stay away from the poles." he chuckles, "Although I felt like breaking something when the fucking Astros won." he mutters a tad upset

Asbolus: "True indeed, although I'm familiar enough with sport-related shenanigans thanks to being a soccer fan." He chuckled, taking a bite or two of his omelet before it started getting cold.

Vincent Drake: "So. . .any advice on Avery. . .like interests or hobbies?"

Asbolus: He sat back and thought on the question for a moment, taking a sip of his tea while he mulled. "They prefer being out in nature rather than in crowds, for one. Art is important to them, as you may already know. They are fond of puzzles but can get frustrated by them at times, but having someone there to work on them with might make it more enjoyable."

Vincent Drake: "Puzzles and art. .. that's a good start, it's only a few days but I can pick something up. . ." he thinks aloud, "It's not too soon for a Christmas gift is it?" he mutters

Asbolus: "I wouldn't say so, no." He replied with a small smile. "I think they'd appreciate it."

Vincent Drake: That puts a smile on the vampires face, "Thanks. . .I'm trying to get them something nice."

Asbolus: "If you put your heart into it I'm sure they'll like it."

Vincent Drake: "So, um, should you give the 'if you hurt them' speech, already got one from Vorpal. . . not going to lie she scares the shit out of me."

Asbolus: "If she gave you one then I doubt you'd need an encore." He offered with a small smirk. "She can be intimidating but also takes care of her own, so she comes from a place of caring in the end."

Vincent Drake: "I'll take your word for it," he says, "So far of that. . .group, I've met her, Sigrun, and Teagen, are polycules normal for changelings or is it just this city, turns out group relationships are popular around here," he chuckles, "I need more yarn for my board."

Asbolus: "I couldn't say, honestly, having had minimal interactions with Lost from other cities." He chuckled. "Most of my motley-to-be are also a polycule so it does seem to be a trend. I'm not seeing anyone currently myself, however."

Vincent Drake: "Well, for now I'm good with just Avy, if they want to expand I'm fine with that too," he shrugs, "Anything I can help you with though, any friend of Avery's is a friend of mine."

Asbolus: "Not at the moment, but I will certainly keep you in mind. The same extends to you as well."

Vincent Drake: "Thanks, I'm trying to get into the information game, so if you have anything that might be juicy, just remember my money is going to Avery as well."

Asbolus: "Noted. I don't run in those circles per se, but if something of note comes up I'll let you know."

Vincent Drake: at that, Vinny get's up, "I'd best be going, it was nice meeting you, don't worry, their in good hands."

Asbolus: "It was good meeting you as well." Asbolus gave a nod as Vincent moved to depart. "You are as well. Avery will do what he can to protect you, no question of that."

Vincent Drake: "I want to protect them." he says as he departs, glad to have 'family approval' as it where
