Ella was currently sitting in a booth phone on her left side and tea and what looks like some kind of half eaten pastry on her right. Oddly enough she was actually reading a news paper. She was wearing the following outfit as she casually looked over the paper, she was facing the door so she could see anyone who entered without having to turn around

Edward walked in with a Clash t-shirt and ripped jeans, guitat once again found slung over his back and will remain so unless told otherwise, he was in the mood for some waffles and by god he was going to get some. He did raise an eyebrow at seeing another member of the Freehold, smiling warmly as he walked over

"Mind if I join you?"

She smiles back and makes a soft motion to the seat in front of her "Feel free, I welcome the extra company."

he sits down and asks the staff for some waffles and coffee, then smiles as he turns to her.

"So, how's life been treating you, I heard your tours have been doing well?" he asks, genuine interest in the career of another artist

-she starts to fold up the news paper and set it off to the side so she could focus on Edward more easily-

"Life has been treating me about as well as I can hope for it to treat me after all these years. It took quite awhile to lay the foundation and build upon it. I think I've come a long way since then and managed to build my portfolio and expand myself. The tours have gone quite well, the pop genre seems to be lasting quite awhile which is reassuring."

he nods, listening intently, "Pop is something I feel is going to last a few more decades but who knows," he takes a sip of his coffee, "My only issue is the amount of works that feel. . .well fake, you know, the pre-packaged corporate stuff," he shrugs, "But their are still plenty of genuine works out their which is good." he plays with the spoon in his coffee, "I've been finding a lot of inspiration for songs out there, and I think I'm entering my own little renaissance." he exclaims grinning, pouring syrup on the waffles

"I am very adamant with my process and don't tend to let people just tell me how my songs should be sung. I believe my contacts have realized that the best way for them to make money off of me is to let me do what I am passionate about. Otherwise I have very little issue finding someone else who's willing to sponsor me. I make sure that's written into any contract so I have a way out if I want or need one."

he smiles brightly, "Good for you, music is best when coming from the heart, it's relaying our emotions and it's detrimental when their's interference in the creative process," he leans back into his seat in order to hold his guitar, tuning it, "Personally, I'm having a hard time finding actual venues, street performances have been well but I'm hoping for the 'big break' as it where. . .maybe I should join a group." he muses

"If you can find one that you really feel helps to enhance your performance and isn't interfering with your own art then that might be the right thing for you. I am currently looking for a painter for a friend. I admit I might be able to pull it off myself but I would prefer someone who actively practices that type of art to do it for her instead of myself."

"Yeah, folks who get how I see it, a painter, if you don't mind me asking are you getting a gift or is this a referral?" he inquires, "Have you asked some of the others, I'd imagine the freehold has an artist or two with a brush."

"Well the person will need to do one of two things, either describe to the very best of their ability, the person that they wish painted. Which will be based off of memory. Or we'd attempt to link to their subconscious, perhaps through dreams. Though I admit that is not my specialty. I help people through their hardest moments and get them out the other side in one piece. Most often I am happy to be the anchor for them if that is something they require. I just came up with the idea last night so you are the first person I've seen and mentioned it to."

"Have you put a request on the board," he mentions pointing the bulletin, "I've heard a lot of people put and take the requests on it, could be a good way to find someone," he says as he takes the waffle apart, "Wish I could help with dreams but I know more about the Hedge then Dreams. . .as for links I've heard of Mages who specialize in linking minds. . .and of course their are vampires with an eye for art."

"It's something to look into, I'll have to look at the board next time I find myself back in the hold. Do you know many Mages? I believe I've only met one so far, I believe they went by the name "Tommy" or "Bones", I believe the second is some kind of persona and both are for the same person. Once more not my strong suit but I think I remember hearing that some place."

he shrugs, "Sadly I haven't met many mages, just second hand knowledge, did this one make a good impression?"

-She tilts her head quizzically to the side for a brief moment before asking-

"In what way? I felt the interaction was fairly short and forming any lasting opinion on them at the current moment might not be prudent. I believe that further interactions would be the most beneficial course of action."

"That's basically what I meant, if you find they where a person you'd think would make a good contact." he shrugs, "I should meet folks around that side to be honest, cooperation is the name of the game." he takes a sip of coffee, "So, now that your back, thinking of any concerts. . .and would their be room for an opener?"

"I tend to require more than one impression of someone before I form a complete opinion on them. Anyone can make a good first impression, it's the subsequent ones that prove to be more difficult in my opinion. Putting on a fake smile and speaking kindly to others is something that anyone can do. If you are able to continue doing it without it seeming like it's some kind of façade, then that feels like it's actually who the person is, not just who they want to be seen as. I plan on actually hosting a party fairly soon for anyone who wishes to attend, this includes people from across the aisle so to speak."

"Party," he says, rather excited, "Sounds fun, when?"

"I'm still putting out some feelers, so the exact date isn't set just yet. But the location will be at my mansion. Here everyone will be able to talk openly about whatever it is they desire, I will ensure that things remain civil and that those who take part in the festivities are rewarded."

"So, a nice get together for the community, sounds like a swell time," he takes another sip of coffee, and takes out his phone, "Wanna trade numbers, text me when ya got a date planned?" he offers, the idea truly seems to intrigue him, "Haven't had time for a good party in ages."

-she takes a card out and simply slides it across the table- "Certainly, and if you meet anyone whom you think would be a good contact for me to utilize in getting the word out I would be most grateful.'

"I'll be sure to do so." he grins, "And if you need entertainment for it," he taps the guitar, "It'd be a pleasure." he let's out a good laugh

"I'm sure that we could work together to put on quite a performance for everyone. The most important thing to remember is that the guests enjoy themselves. My only consideration is how to make sure that any vampires have refreshments."

that get's a blink, "That. . .that is a pickle," he considers, "Well. . .ok I'm stumped with that. . .I mean you'd want to make sure's everyone's welcomed and I'm sure their will be folks opposed to having their blood drained. . .but I heard their way of feeding can be pleasurable for the one being sucked on. . ." it takes a second to realize what he just said and he blush once it hit, "for blood, so. . .maybe ask if their are folks who have given blood freely before and would like to donate?" he shrugs, "It's not something one need to think about often. . .maybe ask one of them, they must have places they gather and ways of supplying themselves."

"I just had an idea, I could use a shoulder band that's a specific color that would indicate that the person is willing while people who aren't wearing the armband aren't willing. That would help make sure that no one actively needs to walk up and awkwardly ask if they mind or not. They just would need to ask if they were willing at that specific moment."

"Their would need to be iron supplements and complementary cookies, but that sounds like a good system," he raises his cup, "Maybe put it on the Maddy's Board, 'looking for folks who would be willing to be blood doners at party, free cookies'." he says in all seriousness

"Well this is just an assumption since I am not a Mage, but I would assume that a Mage might be able to help alleviate any negative effects from a feeding. Though I admit I have never been fed on and don't know what happens during the process. But yes, standard or enhanced food would also help people out."

nodding, he finishes his waffles and coffee, "Sounds like a plan, I'll help get the word out if ya want, tell what mages and vamps I meet along with other Freeholders."

"Once again, I would appreciate that and please direct them to me. I also want to meet as many people as I can before the festivities start. That way I'll know a little bit about each person."

"Of course your party, I can be a bit excited." he admits, "Maybe people watch here, tons of folks walk in and out of here and it's a great place to meet folks," he looks at his watch, "Crap. . .I gotta get going, it was nice seeing you." he says as he offers a hand

-She takes the hand and gives it a shake- "It was a pleasure seeing you too, have a wonderful evening."
