Aurelio's Apartment, South Philly

Log

Aurelio Menegi: A seed has been planted some months prior in the back of Aurelio's mind, something that he watched and tended to as time went on. As the season's end came nearer it had borne some fruit, a decision finally come to after much time deliberating.

While he enjoyed the man's company in general, of course, the Torrent's invitation to Jack to meet him at his apartment was for both business and pleasure, as he seemed the best person to talk to on such things in his mind.

Jack Martingale: Sure, Jack's got all kinds of jokes on his lips about 'seeds being planted' and who they've been planted in, but regardless of that fact he shows up at Aurelio's apartment looking a bit nicer than he might for a night in - tight black jeans, the kind someone's gonna have to peel off him, and a brightly patterned short sleeve buttondown. All under his practically ever-present leather jacket, the one that shimmers slightly in the right light.

Aurelio gets a grin before he's kissed thoroughly, Jack's arm sliding around his waist to pull him in close. "I've missed you," he mutters, the birdsong of his Mien trilling happily, as he finally pulls away, still grinning. "How goes...life?"

Aurelio Menegi: The kiss was most happily returned, a warm smile on those cold lips by the time they both came up for air. "You as well. It has been good, busy. Work, training, all that. And you?"

Jack Martingale: Jack exhales, his Mien a little flickery - in fact, it was flickery when he showed up - and he shrugs. "Freehold business has been...'a lot' is kinda an understatement, even. I'm sure you saw I'm head of the Emissaries, which...I dunno that I want the promotion, but I'll give it my best shot. Y'know to help try and keep everyone as alive as possible, with fuckin assassins from the future running around." He grimaces. "But I don't wanna...get all depressing, 's not time for that."

Aurelio Menegi: "I did see that, yes. You will do well, I am sure." He said with a note of pride in his tone, paired with confidence in the Darkling's capabilities. "Mmm...I was present for the first...not-incident, although I did not take part in the fight. Focused on making sure no crowd could see or record what happened."

"Indeed. I did wish to speak on something that you might find happier."

Jack Martingale: "You did? Damn, I'd have liked to have seen you in action," Jack's smiling again, and he squeezes Aurelio around the waist before dragging him in the general direction of the couch.

"Alright -" He sinks down onto the couch with a groan, pulling the other Changeling down next to him. "What's...up?" Despite Aurelio's assurance that whatever he has to say is good news, there's still a tinge of nervousness in Jack's voice.

Aurelio Menegi: "Perhaps some time soon."

Aurelio followed Jack to the couch without any fuss, sitting down beside him and looking him over for a moment as he worked through the words for what he wanted to say. "I have been thinking this for a time, and we spoke before on it, but I feel like my time with the Spear is finding its end. I do not know the...method that this freehold uses for a change in banner, though, and was hoping you might."

Jack Martingale: "Well." Jack sits back with a quiet smile, before tugging Aurelio in for a kiss. "First of all, congratulations on figuring it out, I'm very excited you're sliding over into my court." Another kiss, as he grins, before he sits back again. "The next step is...to go talk to Ari, really - helpful that they're in charge, right now. You'll probably - d'you have a title, with the Spear?"

Aurelio Menegi: "Thought you might be. And not just to get the whole set, as you said?" He replied with a quiet chuckle, leaning in to meet in the middle for that pair of kisses. "That was my thought, and not yet. Just a Page."

Jack Martingale: "It's not the only reason, but I'd be lying if I said it wasn't one of them." Jack's grin widens as he teases Aurelio. "But yeah, so you'll start as a Sunrise Page then, too, won't be too difficult a switch there. An' you'll keep some Summer Goodwill, probably, unless you do something really egregiously out-of-season, or have some reason for that to fade. But I can't imagine you being on bad terms with the Spear, yeah?"

Aurelio Menegi: "Unless someone has not told me something, no." Aurelio shook his head. "I've kept to my tasks and aided in patrols and whatnot."

Jack Martingale: "Then there's no problem there. Ari will probably wanna talk Desire with you, and make sure that you've thought it through, but it sounds like you really have." Jack runs his hand absently up and down Aurelio's back, and leans over to kiss his shoulder. "They might want you to talk to Devon, too? And there's probably some 'I'm officially no longer a part of this court and now a part of another one' ceremony to make the Wyrd happy, but that I don't know the specifics of."

Aurelio Menegi: He gave a little nod, relaxing at the gentle motion of Jack's hand. "Most likely. Can speak with them both and see."

Jack Martingale: "And maybe they'll make you go on some sort of quest to prove you really wanna switch courts, I dunno," Jack chuckles into Aurelio's shoulder. "But talking to 'em's the first thing you should do. You can tell Ari I put you up to it, but I dunno if that's a good thing or a bad thing..."

Aurelio Menegi: "Put me up to, no. Acted as inspiration, perhaps." He said with a smile. "I chose the Spear first to have a purpose after losing so much, but that need is less now. I have other things...other people to help with that."
