Avery Frisk: Unlike last time, Avery had actually told Asbolus he wanted to meet. Like last time, he broke into the office again. He wasnt in the corner again though, he was next to the mirror. He was inspecting the side of his neck like there might be something there, but it was perfectly fine, not even a scratch.

The Beast was dressed comfy, a black t-shirt, black jeans, black sneakers...okay maybe they had a favorite color or maybe it was just the ASTHETIC. Of course, their feathers were the same color so maybe it just felt natural anymore.

Asbolus: Having expected the Courser's arrival Asbolus was less wary about the sounds of someone else in his office as he approached, announcing his own presence with a knock before sliding inside. He was dressed neatly as was his wont while working, giving Avery a quick once-over as he entered. "Everything alright?"

Avery Frisk: At the knock, Avery stops poking at his neck and spins around. Asbolus would notice a slight sluggishness to his movements, and maybe the tiniest of bags under his eyes, but otherwise looks fine.

"Mhmm! Im actually doing amazing. I just...there's a lot of emotions and I wanted to talk and everything?"

Asbolus: "Good to hear...you seem a little out of sorts, is all." He nodded to the side of Avery's neck that he was checking out in the mirror before moving to take a seat on the front side of the desk rather than behind it, motioning for Avery to take the other chair at his leisure. "How are things going with your prospective beau?"

Avery Frisk: Avery hopped over to the seat quickly, their natural agility carrying the movement.

"I'm fine. I had a nice evening with him and...we are dating now? Technically I think we were before but I didn't want to assume but he also liked me and-" Avery catches the excited energy and stops, half bouncing in the seat. "It just went fast and felt nice so...it worked out well."

Asbolus: "Glad to hear it." Asbolus nodded with a warm smile. "I look forward to meeting him at some point."

Avery Frisk: Avery's hand rubs the side of his neck. "You can if you want. He is nice and... super caring and wants me to be happy."

Avery's energy dies down rather quickly. "That's good right? Safe? All of this is safe for me? "

Asbolus: "I would say that it's good for you, yes. There's a certain vulnerability that comes with getting close to others, but that is often counterbalanced by the strength you gain from that closeness. Having a partner who cares for you and your wellbeing will suit you well, I think."

Avery Frisk: Avery smiles, pleased with the answer. "I do feel...vulnerable? But it's nice to be vulnerable...i just... its hard to stay vulnerable."

Avery frowns. "I felt worried every time I got close...it made the night hard...I was worried I was putting him in danger too."

Asbolus: "That will always be a worry, I imagine, but one can keep it in mind without letting it make you push others away for their 'safety'. We need people to relate to, to accept us as we are, and holding yourself back can leave you rather lonely indeed." Spoken like a man who knew that all too well, those words.

Avery Frisk: Avery nods along, the bit of panic rising.

"How do...I tell my head I can be safe with him? That I don't need to push him away? I wanted to tell him things because he feels safe...and he'd understand...but at the same time I didn't want to say anything? It was...like when I first tried to talk to you...but he's not a Lost so its entirely different at the same time."

Asbolus: "From the sound of it he's willing to be there for you as much as you are for him, so that's something to keep in mind."

"Different but similar enough, as I've seen it. The different societies have a much more open communication policy than other cities, so going into more detail doesn't have the same potential for backlash. As long as it's done discreetly it should be fine."

Avery Frisk: Avery pauses, seeing the sense that Asbolus was making. Thats why he came here after all.

"So...its okay to talk about little things...as long as I don't put anyone in danger with what I share?"

Asbolus: "Indeed. Let him know what he needs to about you to keep things from slipping too far out of sync, for certain; more than that is up to your discretion."

Avery Frisk: Avery nods. "There's things I want to tell him...but I struggle to even think about. And...my discretion is not very good."

Asbolus: "Well, if you have any questions on that front feel free to reach out."

Avery Frisk: Avery nods. "Vinny is...curious? He wants to know lots of things and so...its hard. I'll ask questions if I have them though?"

Asbolus: "Sounds like a plan." He nodded, smiling a touch. "It's good to see you find someone you fit with, I will say."

Avery Frisk: A blush creeps onto Avery's face. "I...I'm happy, I think? It feels nice and...different from the last year? I'm still worried but...now that a year has passed and this has happened its been less worry I think?"

Asbolus: "Good to hear. It took about a year for things to shake out on my end as well, so you're on a good path."

Avery Frisk: Avery gives a proud smile at the praise of their mentor. A distracted look for a second before he resumes.

"Vinny can't be awake during the day though...he looks like a corpse when sleeping too...I want to spend more time with him but I have duties to Summer and the Freehold too so I'm not sure what to do about that."

Asbolus: "I imagine something can be arranged. Lord knows there's enough to do around here that someone with a more nocturnal schedule can have something to do."

Avery Frisk: "Is that a smart idea then? I tend to...be able to hide better at night too." Avery seems to be trying to justify it.

Asbolus: "Nothing says you can't try it for a while and see how it goes." He nodded, smiling quietly.

Avery Frisk: Avery nods. "I would love that I think. Thank you Asbolus, you are the best."

Asbolus: "You're welcome. Happy that I can help."
