Log

It has been a stressful few nights for Titania, things cropping up. The Strix, existing. Meeting new people. So she was pacing her Haven.

Eventually she sent a text to Vinny and he had enough for a snack. So she wandered out to their meeting spot. Mei and Columba coming with her. She was a casual outfit which essentially meant she was wearing a long black bath robe with nothing underneath.

She sat on the stone wall waiting for him to arrive, staring up into the sky

Vincent walked the woods, less afraid then normal, the weeks had be teaching him he needed to man up as it where and now he had two people he cared for who needed him, he wasn't apprehensive when he got the text and just went to the location, a deal is a deal. He has been wearing custom suits more and more, not as much t-shirts, seeing Titania he raised an eyebrow, "You look lovely tonight," he admits, not as much a compliment but just a statement of fact, he himself was unsure why he would say it but the lone vampire brooding at the night sky, he has problems with her yes but it is a rather majestic sight to see. "although I doubt coming from me that's something you'd want to hear." he comments walking closer, "Mind if I pick your brain?"

She notices him as he approaches but doesn't look down until he speaks to her, a shrug of her shoulders at the comment.

"Depends what your looking for but sure."

"When vampires embrace," he begins, "What do they usually look for?"

"Well, that isnt what I expected."

She chuckles. "In what sense?"

"Do we. . .do we see something in the person they can't, is it spur of the moment, lust, a new pawn to the plan. . ." he begins, "loneliness, why do most of us damn others?"

"It really depends. Depends on what we need. If we need a pawn, a student or, for want of a better example, a Blood bank."

There is a tilt of her head. "Why do you ask? My Sire is still around, if sleeping. Yours isnt, I cant help you there. I knew what I was getting into back then."

"I've. . ." he kicks the dirt, "I've been thinking about my sire," he admits, "I knew her for all of a night and I still hate her," he sighs, "But the more I think of her the more I wonder, why me, what possible reason could she have had to embrace me, I'm a nobody, a fucking loser who happens to get lucky, you've seen it multiple times, I'm not fit for this, not really."

"I don't have answers for you kid. Any chances of getting those ended the day she died."

There is a moment of hesitation. "Okay that isn't technically true but, the point stands. I don't know why she chose you, personally i think she chose poorly but. I doubt we will ever know."

"Yeah, I would have made a better Ghoul, let's be real." he eyes Titania, "You seem. . .well different, troubled to be specific," he walks a tad closer, "You wanna. . .talk?"

"You would have been better to be left as Human." That is an important distinction, likely the first time Vinny has heard her refer to them as Human around other Kindred.

"Things got away from me with Bones and im not sure where to go."

"You two did seem happy together," he comments, "How so. . .I'll admit we have to be careful with our breathing lovers. . .I learned that lesson already."

"They drank from me. We were engaged in pre coitus activities and they changed their body and bit me."

A pause. "I didn't think they would. So. We hadn't talked about how dangerous that was."

"They bit you?" he asks, if he was bothered by tmi their was no show of it, only expression a raised eyebrow, "You know what that means."

"Yeah." There is a nod. "Yeah. That's why I'm on edge."

"Avery made me swore never to feed them my blood," he shares, "The Lost have some kind of magically enforced promises . . .so, let me guess, you're worried about the increased affection from the bond and the addiction to Vitae human's seem to develop," he sighs, "It was an accident, so you shouldn't blame yourself, they're a mage correct, perhaps their magic can offer some aid?"

"They were able to get rid of the addiction. But dont seem able to get rid of the bond."

She shakes her head. "I didn't expect them to feed on me and I wasnt going to give them blood."

"That's good. . .the blood could just leave their system over time then, right?"

"Yeah. But, that takes a long time."

"I. . .I think the best outlook is they are not addicted. . .the bond however, fuck I can see why that's a bother," he thinks, "Have they shown change in their behavior since the encounter, I recall they where rather fond of you when I met you both."

"I don't think so, but. Its hard to tell." There is a tilt of her head. "It flavors all of their actions now, so like, anything they do now. Is that Bones or is that the Bond."

he nods, "I understand. . .how long does the bond last, can it fade?"

"From my understanding it takes roughly a year from when you last drink for the bond to fade."

his eyes widen, "A year. . ." he sighs, "Fuck Titania I'm. . .I'm sorry, but I will say this, your lucky, not because of the bond no but because before that Bones showed interest, enough to trust you to take them to bed," he says pacing around a bit, "I'll admit, I have-had," he corrects himself, if someone shows disinterest it's best for all to move on, "Interest in them, I like someone whose clever. . .and the ranting is adorble," he chukles, "My point is, you're not the easiest person to get along with, so gaining the affection of another. . .I can empathize the pain it must feel now that it needs to be examined through the lens of the bond. . .in all the years of Kindred existence, theirs nothing to break the bond?"

"There's some stuff to break it yeah. I'll need to talk to Guy, the Ordo probably know some weird things. Everything I know how to do could only make it more of a bond."

he nods, "The Ordo have some weird shit I've heard, maybe they can help you," he finds apart of the ruin to sit on, "If I may ask. . .what drew you to them, you've seem, at least in the time I've known you. . .well like humans are beneath you?"

"Their intelligence originally. Their ability to keep up with what I speak of. Eventually it became their ability to deal with my outbursts. Now they are teaching me how to socialize. How to interact with others. Of our kind and others."

There is a smile to her voice as she speaks.

he smiles and nods, "I count them as a friend of mine, they really so seem to care about others. . ." shrugs, "It was my lack of empathy it seems that broke off our date, 'seller of broken dreams' is not a person they wish to see in that way." he shares, "But I still value their friendship, I want to help you two if theirs anyway I could."

"They do genuinely care about others. Its why they are helping me. As long as I make an effort to learn then they seem happy."

There is a nod. "They spoke to me about that. I grew to understand where they are coming from. They are Human plus, the Lost were Human and didnt get a choice in the matter. Most of us did."

"I would say it was the years of vampirism that made me so, but we both know that is not the case," he jumps off his perch, "I'm a shitty person, I'll admit that, my parents called me a waste of space and it seems everyday their right one way or another. . .bit I refuse to die, even if I'm worthless my efforts can help people who matter, like Avery and Maria."

"I think that is why I got a talking to about it compared to their response to you. I learnt this behavior from being a literal monster of the night."

Her head tilts as he moves from his perch. "Dear Vinny, your already dead." She chuckles.

"Tell that to my lovers," he grins, plural, "As long as I think, I am, so I'll support those who I care for, friends such as Bones included," he walks over, standing in front of her and looking down at her, due to their height a fact that honestly feels weird to him, she's always been larger than life in a sense, "and the lovers of my friends are my friends too. . .I would hope," he says as he takes off his suit jacket and moves his collar, "Now drink up, I'm sure this kid's bored you enough."

She reaches up to his neck from her perch on the wall and pulls him closer. Its a slower Kiss that what she has normally given him. Taking the time to enjoy it. Savoring the moment but also, dragging it out for him. She might be being nice, but that also means making things a little more complex for him. The Kiss can be addicting.

He gasps, it's not as rough as normal and as she takes her time, his reactions are different from a more calm feeding, he finds himself panting a bit, it feels good, theirs an intimacy to all feedings and without the more predatory aspect of the last part. . .he actually finds himself enjoying it, moaning a bit this time and trying to grasp her arms,

She lets him grab at her arms. Slows down even further so that he can enjoy the sensation. Hops down from her seat. Pulling him closer to the ground. She is in control even if much smaller than him. But for once, actually wants him to enjoy it. Making your friends happy seems to be the thing to do.

"I. . ." he moans a bit, "we can't," he gasp, the feeling of the kiss having his hands explore, "Avery," he couldn't deny the emotions brought by the Kiss, it was the nature of feeding that it brought pleasure but that can be a problem as well

She moves, picking him up and placing him on the wall she was sitting on, dragging his neck down so she can finish her meal. Eventually pulling back.

Licking her lips. Running her thumb across them to collect the last of his Vitae.

"That. . ." he pants, "That was too close," he says, "Avery would never forgive me if-"

She runs the other finger across her lips.

"But you want it don't you?" She says with a tilt of her neck, revealing exactly where he had been bitten. A clawed finger reaching up to cut her neck slightly, opening it but not bleeding.

He looks at the blood, "It doesn't matter if I want to shove you against the wall and take you now," he says, not denying, "Avery despises you, and while I don't share that hatred I won't betray them, not like that. . ." he looks upon her, a goddess of night, beautiful and terrible, "I won't do that to them, I love them and won't be ruled by my lust. . .the Kiss will have to suffice."

"Aww. You are loyal at least."

She pulls him down a little further gives him a little peck on his forehead. Leaving stains of his own blood.

"I want you," he says, not denying it at all, "If you two ever bury the hatchet. . .but not tonight." he says taking his jacket off the ground, "I'm not a monster. . . not that kind anyway," he says, "The Kiss will do. . .if your still able to do like you did this night."

"What? Not let my Monster show, not be frankly a horrible." There isn't a pause but she has to force the word out. "Person."

She chuckles. "Hey. Whatever helps you get your jollys. Just think of me next time your feeding on them."

He might not have, but now, now he is almost guaranteed to think of Titania when feeding on Avery. She might be getting better but she is still a bitch.

"Your a real bitch, you know that." he sighs, walking off, another night of proving to himself how much of a scumbag he is.
