Sunshine's RV

Log

Sunshine Adams: Sunshine's got a pretty sweet RV, with the most important feature...a good heating system. She's parked at the nearest RV park, sitting inside dressed casually in a pair of jeans and a black tee shirt, working on her computer.

Jeremiah Hamilton: A quick 'shave and a haircut' knock rang through the RV's door, with one(1) Mastigos standing behind it in a nice leather jacket to keep off the chill, a smile on his face. "Hey there. This is a nice rig."

Sunshine Adams: She opens the door and lets him in with a grin. "Well, I travel around a lot, so I needed a home that could travel around too. Come on in."

Jeremiah Hamilton: "Dig it." He stepped inside, taking a moment to remove his jacket as he looked around. "You been good since the last time we talked, I hope?"

Sunshine Adams: "Yeah. Met another guy that sparkles." She crinkles her nose. "I sorta photobombed him because he came up on me in the middle of an abandoned steam factory and I wasn't sure if he was a serial killer or something."

Jeremiah Hamilton: "Oh?" Jeremiah paused at that, a small frown crossing his features. "Did he do anything untowards, or..."

Sunshine Adams: "Not really, other than the fact he was prowling around an abandoned place at the middle of the night. I mean, I can't judge other people for something I do too, you know?

Jeremiah Hamilton: "Good." He nodded, finding something convenient to sit on as he continued. "You still have the photo?"

Sunshine Adams: She nods. "I'm thinking about setting up a little board to classify all the people I snap photos of." She grins. "Though he refused to admit he had anything supernatural going on."

Jeremiah Hamilton: "Having a little aura chart like that would be handy, but I'd be careful about it. If someone else gets their hands on that little collection it could stir up a lot of trouble."

"Not too surprised there, admittedly. I was a little more open about that at the start than usual, if only because I saw what you can do already." He added with a small smirk.

Sunshine Adams: "You still haven't told me what you can do..." She lets it trail off, giving him an opening.

Jeremiah Hamilton: "True, I haven't." He nodded, settling into his chosen seat as he mulled over how to properly begin. "The world as we know it has been made to keep the blinders on humanity as a whole and force them to forget what they could be. Magic isn't real, it says, you're being foolish, just go back to work and toil for the scraps we give you. There are some people who have had those blinders removed, however, and can see the world in all the weird and wild ways that it truly is. I'm one of those people, and I do my part to help others open their eyes enough to throw off the chains that the world has wrapped around them."

Sunshine Adams: "But...that's not all of it, is it? I mean, I can do a few little magics too, but my aura doesn't sparkle. Yours does, and Marcus's does. So there's something extra, right?"

Jeremiah Hamilton: "This is where the 'different source' bit I mentioned before comes in." He gave another nod, filing away the name given for later. "Those like myself forge a connection with what we call the Supernal, kind of the underpinnings of the universe at large, and are able to draw power from that connection."

Sunshine Adams: "So...how do I do mine, then? I don't draw power from some cosmic web."

Jeremiah Hamilton: "That is a really good question, and I don't think anyone has a good answer for that yet. Theories, maybe, but nothing definitive." He smiled a touch. "Nonetheless, it shows that you're more in-tune with the world at large than most, and that's something worth celebrating."

Sunshine Adams: "So you can't teach me new stuff, then, can you? SInce we do it different ways." She sighs. "I want to learn everything. I have had a taste of it, and now it's become sort of an obsession."

Jeremiah Hamilton: "Maybe not directly, no. But, I'm more than willing to give a hand where I can as far as testing your own boundaries goes and seeing what comes of it." He watched her for a moment. "What makes you want to push to learn more, though? Out of curiosity."

Sunshine Adams: "Honest answer?" She grins. "It's fun. I can float in the air, manipulate the temperature, and read minds. There's so much more out there, I want to explore the limits."

Jeremiah Hamilton: "Fair enough." He nodded with a smirk. "What do you do with your abilities outside of the show?"

Sunshine Adams: "Not much, to be honest. Like, I would love to use it to help people, but I also don't want to be found by the government and experimented on, you feel?"

Jeremiah Hamilton: A warm smile crossed Jeremiah's face, clearly pleased with that answer. "I get you, yeah. It can be done, but you definitely have to be careful with it. How in-depth can you get with the mind-reading part of it?"

Sunshine Adams: "I can go past surface thoughts and dig in just a little bit. I have to focus on a question, though."

Jeremiah Hamilton: "Nice. Matters of the mind are a specialty of mine, fittingly enough. Only recently started venturing out into the psychokinetic-type stuff, but it's been interesting to experiment with."

Sunshine Adams: "I started with the psychokinetic stuff." She grins. "Telekinesis."

Jeremiah Hamilton: "Good stuff. How much later did the mind-reading come in?"

Sunshine Adams: She sits back a moment, thinking. "Well...I was around six when I got the telekinesis. I got stuck in one of my dad's props." She pauses. "Uh, so yeah, my dad's a stage magician in Vegas. No actual magic, but I got scared when I got stuck in the box and used telekinesis to escape. The RV was a gift when I graduated high school, and that's when I started to drive around and find people to learn from. So uh...thirteen years? But I wasn't really trying between then."

Jeremiah Hamilton: "Ah...interesting. Did something come up that prompted the new ability coming in, or was it an out of the blue sort of thing?"

Sunshine Adams: "Well, I sorta use the ghost hunting show to find psychics, and the show's an excuse to be there and train under the psychics."

Jeremiah Hamilton: "Gotcha...so that was developed with guidance from someone else?" He seemed intrigued, to say the least, watching her with interest.

Sunshine Adams: "Everything was, other than the telekinesis. The real ghost stuff was sorta the last, to be completely honest."

Jeremiah Hamilton: "That is really interesting. And that is kind of amusing, considering what you do for a living." He nodded with a small smirk. "What brought you to Philadelphia, then? Tracking someone to train under, or just the history of the place?"

Sunshine Adams: "I have some family from here, and there's supposedly a lot of haunted places to explore." She smiles. "Though everything on the show is mostly fake. I can't get ghosts to show up on video, just pictures."

Jeremiah Hamilton: "So I've heard, yeah. Lot of old places to call people back to." He gave another nod, smiling back in return. "Hey, whatever works. Even just enhancing their presence is enough to keep people curious."

Sunshine Adams: "That I can definitely do. I'm sorta hoping that some TV station discovers me. Even if it's just like, a local station thing."

Jeremiah Hamilton: "That would be pretty awesome. I work more on the music side of things than TV, but I can shake some trees for you if you'd like and see what I can dig up."

Sunshine Adams: "That would be awesome!" She grins. "You could also always join me on an episode..."

Jeremiah Hamilton: "Maybe..." He grinned, chuckling after a moment. "I'll think on it, at least."

Sunshine Adams: "You'd probably double my female viewership." She laughs. "I'll just introduce you as Sparkle, if you don't want to use your real name."

Jeremiah Hamilton: "I'm flattered." He said with a laugh, shaking his head. "My girlfriend would love that."

"Eh, that part would be fine. I've got a bit of a presence online already due to my own music and the work I do with local performers and some other volunteer work."

Sunshine Adams: "Yeah, but then I don't get to call you Sparkle." She laughs again. "I've got to start getting ready for tonight, but like, you have my number. Where's your cafe? I'll come hang out sometime."

Jeremiah Hamilton: "I've had worse nicknames, honestly." He grinned, moving to stand and gather his jacket. "The Green Room, in Spring Garden. Drop me a line when you come by if I'm not there and I can swing by."

Sunshine Adams: "Will do. I'll let you know if I find any other sparklers in my crazy shenanigans." She grins.

Jeremiah Hamilton: "Sounds good. Oh...on that note, any chance I could see the photo you took of that Marcus guy?"

Sunshine Adams: She gets up and heads into the bedroom area, closes the door for a few moments, then comes out later, picture in hand. She holds it out for him. "Here you go."

Jeremiah Hamilton: "Thanks. Mainly curious if I know the guy..." Jeremiah took the offered photo and looked it over, eyebrow arching a touch as he did so. "Not familiar off-hand, but I'll ask around."
