Kayla Sockum: Kayla appears at the portal as a bat, flapping her wings until she's reached a booth and then flops down on one side of it, before she turns back into her human form. She's wearing a white, flowy dress that does not seem to protect from the weather in any form, her hair is all tressed and has flowers in it.

She pick up the menu and reads it caasually.

Jeremiah Hamilton: Jeremiah followed Kay inside of the diner, chuckling as he saw her flap her way to the booth of choice. "You have way too much fun with that." He said with a smirk, moving to join her and take a seat.

Kayla Sockum: "I do, but I don't use motor vehicle to move around, so it's also helpful." Kayla laughs a little bit, placing an order for waffles. "I'm also planning on trying something different soon, I'm just researching some basic biology stuff to make sure I don't cause myself harm."

Jeremiah Hamilton: "Fair enough. Part of why I ride my bike rather than drive some days, and not just to burn off whatever awesomeness Heather's baked up lately." He nodded with a smirk, putting in an order for a pigs in mud waffle and coffee. "Oh? What sort of thing?"

Kayla Sockum: "Well, see I hang with Fox and I met with Weaver recently and I realized I've been... severely underplaying my abilities with life. And now that Life is part of my Ruling Arsenal, I can dabble in it without as much restriction." a beat.

"They, Weaver, were recommending using body hair to connect to aural and visual nerves and something similar and since I don't really understand how any of this work, I figure I should study a bit of it before I cause myself trauma."

Jeremiah Hamilton: "Ah...that does sound interesting." He offered a small nod along with a smile. "I do want to start looking into that Arcanum at some point soon, since my own legacy leans into it for some of the secondary effects."

Kayla Sockum: "I remember you said your legacy could share the Mage Sight or something similar to it, right?" Kay asks, curious, leans against the table. "Or was it something else ?"

Jeremiah Hamilton: "It can, yeah, on the first tier. The second lets you see through lies and other illusions, even magical ones. Most of the core attainments take longer to set up, though; they're more of a meditative thing than a 'cast' and go."

Kayla Sockum: "Would it break any oath or rules if you'd used that ability on me to show me something like the Mind or Space sight?" Kay asks curiously "I'd be interested in seeing the process for myself, if allowable."

Jeremiah Hamilton: "It doesn't grant the Sight per se; sorry, should've been more clear there. It's more of an effect that shows how connected something is to the Supernal, what realm or realms it's tied to and things like that."

Kayla Sockum: "Ah, does it function like a particular spell? Or a particular sight?" Kay's curiosity seems to remain as she continue to ask, making space between them for the food that eventually arrives.

Jeremiah Hamilton: "A spell, usually rather creatively called Supernal Vision." He answered with a small smirk. "If you look at someone who's Awakened it can tell you what Realm they're closely tied to, the strength of their connection to the Tower, what Arcana they know and whatnot. Casting it normally rather than as an attainment can also allow you to get a similar read on non-Awakened folks, although it can take some work to know what they are exactly by comparing what it shows between different people. What reads as a vampire for me might not match what someone else sees using the same spell, for example, and you can recognize the pattern without knowing what exactly it corresponds to unless you get a chance to find out what they are some other way."

Kayla Sockum: "Oh, my sights tend to be a lot of...." a flickering gesture of her hand. "tacticle sensation, smell, taste and sometimes some whispers? It can be more literal and show as emanation and auras depending on what I'm looking at."

"I know Prime a bit, but it's been left in the dust a bit with me focusing on Life and Matter recently." a beat "And time too, but time mostly confuses the hell out of me."

Jeremiah Hamilton: "Feel ya. The Sight for me is usually auditory, but with the Vision it's an off-white aura with symbols tied to what the spell can reveal that come and go unless you focus on them."

"Prime is the key Arcanum for my legacy so I plan on going for full Mastery at some point if only to be able to use what the Path grants to its fullest. Beyond that, though, the ability to show others what sits beyond the Lie is an important one in my book, and I'm willing to do that to help others reach their full potential."

Kayla Sockum: Kay nods "What would Life allow you to do with your abilities? Enhancing their senses in a different way maybe or ?" she wonders.

Jeremiah Hamilton: "The second tier allows you to analyze living things in the area while the main attainment is active, the third heightens senses, and the fifth boosts the physical form of the target. The fourth is an interesting one, though, since it can basically make ablative armor against damage caused by containing paradox. That's usually something we on the Path shy away from in general, but having that as an option if the need arises is helpful."

Kayla Sockum: "Woah, that's impressive." Kay gasp genuinely. "It never occured to me to try and deal with Paradoxical event with mine, that sounds like a complex thing to achieve."

Jeremiah Hamilton: "Probably, yeah. Don't know the details on how it works yet, but I wager it'll be interesting to see when I do get to that point."

Kayla Sockum: "One of my attainment allow me to uses potentia to use magic and attainment at a sensory range within my cloud." A smile there. "If you can, when you get there, I'd love to hear about it." she pat his arm and eat more of her plate. "Did you see Polly again since last time ?"

Jeremiah Hamilton: "Nice...will do." He nodded with a smile, taking a moment to eat some of his own meal before continuing. "Now and again, yeah, when we're not busy."

Kayla Sockum: "She's such a bright lady and I really like her." More food, though the pace is slowing a bit, clearly there was less appetite than expected. "I gotta work on a playlist that uses her song and yours."

Jeremiah Hamilton: "That she is..." His smile warmed at that. "I'm really lucky that we clicked as well as we did. She's an amazing woman."

Kayla Sockum: "I visited Mark at the tree recently with Mary, I got to talk to him and he letm e study his soul and such." a beat. "The situation is significantly more complex from up close than it is from afar, at least in my point of view."

Jeremiah Hamilton: It took a moment for who Kay was referring to to click, but Jeremiah nodded once the lightbulb went off. "How so?"

Kayla Sockum: "Well you hear about the story of mark and you then make up the missing details in your head and then you come in contact with him, study his pattern and look over Alexis' shoulder when she's studying the code..." she makes 'mind blown' gesture. "Remaking Mark a new body is going to be a complicated endeavor and a half."

Jeremiah Hamilton: "Gotcha...yeah, I can imagine. Not sure what help I can offer on that front, but happy to chip in where I can."

Kayla Sockum: "We might need to ward our effort or mind magic to copy and transfer the thoughts into the new body." Kay mimes the transfer bit.

Jeremiah Hamilton: "True...could help with that, for sure."

Kayla Sockum: "Hey, maybe you'll be able to provide musical entertainment for Mark, though I don't know if that would be appreciated?" She ponders aloud.

Jeremiah Hamilton: "Maybe...would have to see what he might like." He nodded with a small smirk. "I haven't had a chance to talk with him directly yet."

Kayla Sockum: "I'm pretty sure Mark's heard music, but I'm not sure what the ability to enjoy it is." She explains "His personality is very like, robotic? I want to say, as a result of the hardware and treatment I imagine."

Jeremiah Hamilton: "Would make sense, yeah." He shook his head quietly. "Glad we were able to get him out of that whole mess."

Kayla Sockum: "So am I." Kay smiles brightly. "I can't imagine it happened in an ethical fashion." a shake of her head.
