Bala Cynwyd Elysium

Log

Titania: Titania was doing her best to keep up her humanity. Tonight that meant she was lounging at Elysium playing Pokémon on her switch.

Her outfit was modern, hair flowing freely as she sat concentration on her face.

It's an odd sight seeing an 800 year old blood witch sitting playing Pokémon peacefully.

Daniel Hawthorne: Daniel slipped into the Elysium without much fanfare, a messenger bag slung over one shoulder and his ensemble casual but well-made as always. Once passed the threshold and the door closed behind him he removed his sunglasses, revealing the jet-black eyes usually hidden behind them. He headed into the lounge area, pausing briefly as he spotted Titania with her Switch before smiling a touch and giving her a polite nod. "Good evening."

Titania: She didn't look up and although her back was to him she nodded softly.

"Good evening Daniel. How have you been?"

Daniel Hawthorne: "Doing well overall. Getting into spring wedding season, which is a busy time as always. Yourself?"

Titania: "Oh that sounds. Busy. I'm just existing. Waiting until something happens that my services are required."

Daniel Hawthorne: "Existing is always a plus. Better than the alternative, at least." He took a seat nearby, setting his bag down beside him for the time being. "Still enjoying the game, I hope?"

Titania: She tilts her head at the seat with a nod.

"It is and yes. I'm working on Legends Arceus now. I swear this one came out more recently."

Daniel Hawthorne: "January of last year, I think. My sister plays it more than I do, I'll admit."

Titania: "That. Is confusing but. Okay."

She finally finishes what she is doing and looks him over.

"Ill have to get you to make some outfits. My old tailor went and died."

Daniel Hawthorne: "What's confusing about it, if you wish to say?" He nodded as she continued. "Certainly. Let me know when you're able to come by the studio and we'll get your measurements."

Titania: "This game seems more polished and nicer to play than Scarlet."

A nod of her head.

"I can do most nights. What would work best for you?"

Daniel Hawthorne: "Ah. Might've been different design teams working on them, perhaps." He offered a small shrug, then nodded. "This coming Sunday should be good, if you're available."

Titania: "Can do. I'll send you some designs. Maybe even."

A pause then she pulls out her phone.

"Maybe either a replica or since repairs on a very old piece."

Daniel Hawthorne: "Sounds good. I'm always up for a challenge."

Titania: She scrolls through her phone a bit eventually turning it to face him.

"Do you think you could replicate something like this? Minus the claw damage of course."

Daniel Hawthorne: Daniel took the offered phone, looking the photo over before nodding. The claw marks earned a curious quirk of the eyebrow, but he deigned from commenting on them for the moment. "Definitely. Preference on the material for the main part of the dress?"

Titania: "It was a silk almost transparent material."

Daniel Hawthorne: "'s what I thought." He gave another nod, mentally searching through his current fabric inventory to see if they had anything to match or if it'd need to be ordered. "Where is the original from, if you can recall?"

Titania: "It was from Germany. In the 1400's. Good luck."

Daniel Hawthorne: "I'll do my best. Mind sending the picture to me so I have it as a reference?"

Titania: She flicks the picture off to him.

"I can bring the original in if you would like?"

Daniel Hawthorne: "If you would. It would help with finding a good fabric to match."

Titania: "Of course."

A nod of her head. Columba crawls out from under her cloak.

"Can you head home and pick it up for me Child."

Daniel Hawthorne: Daniel watched curiously as the shadow creature made itself known, giving it a small nod. "Evening."

Titania: Columba does a little bop and a flap around Daniels head then flies out the window.

Daniel Hawthorne: He smirked as the bird buzzed him on its way out the window, waiting until it had departed before looking back to Titania. "That is a fascinating bit of magic, I will say."

Titania: "Its not magic, well, kinda? It was magic to bind him to this realm but he is from the void."

Daniel Hawthorne: "Ah, I see." He nodded, thinking a moment. "And said magic keeps them bound here until you release them, or is there a time limit that needs to be refreshed?"

Titania: "It keeps them bound until I release them or end them."

Daniel Hawthorne: "Noted." Another nod. "Have you done much work with other magic-users outside of the Circle before?"

Valeria Rolan-Ruiz: A slightly tired looking Val enters the Elysium, feeling like switching it up today. She was in slacks, non-slip shoes, and a t-shirt with a gymnastics competition on it.

There was a slight yawn that she stifled, but spied the two and waved, getting a bottle of water before approaching.

Titania: "Ive worked with Bones a bit. They keep me in line."

She reacts to Val as she enters a slight clench of her hands.

Daniel Hawthorne: That note of tension from the elder didn't go unnoticed, with Daniel eyeing Titania briefly to ensure he didn't need to step in before giving Val a nod in greeting. "I've worked with some of the local willworkers as well, and Floretta is currently setting up a space for cross-specialty experimentation, as it were. Is that something you might be interested in?"

Valeria Rolan-Ruiz: Noticibly, she is walking way better than she was before. No slight limp in her left knee.

"Hey Daniel, Titania, how are you two doing?"

Titania: "I may be, though, my arts are a little more closed than theirs. I appreciate their work though."

She offers Ria a forced smile and a wave.

"My nights continue." A non answer without seeming rude.

Daniel Hawthorne: "Understandable. Feel free to talk with her on it if you do want to check it out, though."

"Doing pretty well overall. Getting into spring wedding season, which is always a bit hectic." He said with a smirk, eyeing her leg briefly. "How's the knee doing?"

Valeria Rolan-Ruiz: Val pauses at Titania's brief answers.

"Al...right then?"

A nod to Daniel.

"Oh, yeah, I bet its a ton. Really great actually. One of the uh...willworkers helped me out. Metalbent the titanium out and healed my knee. It was super freaky."

Titania: "Its either i give you a short answer or the truth and I really dont think this is the time nor place for that. Do you?"

Daniel Hawthorne: "No kidding...that must've been wicked to watch. Glad they were able to help you with it."

At Titania's reply he once again looked between the pair, an eyebrow arched slightly but saying nothing for the moment.

Valeria Rolan-Ruiz: "Yeah it was like...goop for a minute."

Val pauses for a minute.

"I'm like...genuinely confused. Last time I saw you we were chatting over your journal. Did something happen? Like...my memory is shit so I'd appreciate a reminder at least."

Titania: "You. Another. You remind me of another mistake I made by being horny and blind to the effects of what I did."

She takes back the phone pocketing it quickly.

Daniel Hawthorne: Daniel gave back the phone without issue, a small 'ah hah' look forming on his face at Titania's explanation. Still he remained silent, content to let the pair speak as needed.

Valeria Rolan-Ruiz: Her eyebrow raises.

"I mean, I am pretty hot. If you mean the whole rooftop thing...I'm mostly over that I think. It sucked, it was a dumb move on both our parts, especially right after I joined the whole thing...but I'm over it."

Titania: "No I dont mean the whole rooftop thing, its not the fact that you are hot it is the fact that you remind me of Tonya who I took things so much further with."

Her words are forced actually showing emotion for once.

Valeria Rolan-Ruiz: Val looks uneasy with the emotion, not used to seeing it on her.

"Uhhhh, glad you think I'm hot. I'm not sure I'm awake enough for a therapy session cause I worked all day."

She looks at Daniel for help.

Daniel Hawthorne: Daniel hopped in at Val's look, keeping his focus on Titania as her emotions stirred with her thoughts on the past. "What happened between you two that makes her stick out in your mind?"

Titania: "She ruined that dress and I sentenced her to torture for it."

Valeria Rolan-Ruiz: Val's eyebrow raised.

"What dress. And what do you mean?"

Titania: "A nigh 600 year old dress that I am asking Daniel to fix for me."

Though the second question goes unanswered.

Daniel Hawthorne: "Sentenced her how?" Daniel asked again, watching Titania with a mix of curiosity and caution.

Valeria Rolan-Ruiz: Val, still mostly human, looks a little uncomfy with the notion of torture.

Titania: "What do you know about the Lost?"

Valeria Rolan-Ruiz: Val's head immediately snaps up.

"You didn't."

Daniel Hawthorne: "Some, although not much." Daniel frowned quietly at Val's reaction, still looking at Titania. "What happened?"

Titania: "Not personally, but. Yes." She says in response to Val.

"I sent one of the Lost back to Arcadia."

Valeria Rolan-Ruiz: Val visibly pales.

"Why? Why would you do that?"

Daniel Hawthorne: A look of shock formed on Daniel's face, a rare show of full emotion for the Haunt. "Just for the dress?"

Titania: "No, that was the straw that broke my will as it were."

Valeria Rolan-Ruiz: Val looks on edge, taking a step back from Titania.

"Then why? That's...awful."

Daniel Hawthorne: "Damage to a memento of your past is an understandable trigger but that...that seems like a punishment far beyond the crime."

Titania: There is a nod to both comments.

"Yes it was too far, yes it was a frankly horrible thing to do."

A slight pause.

"We were becoming close, studying together. We became physically intimate and I wanted to end things as it was becoming too much like Amaranth. She wouldnt stop, wouldnt let me push her away. I eventually got her to stop, difficultly, and she ruined that on her way out."

Valeria Rolan-Ruiz: "She got clingy and ripped it up cause she was pissed you were uncomfy with the relationship."

She frowned and shook her head in disbelief.

"I've been on the receiving end of that before. But Arcadia is...that's too much. That's way too much."

Daniel Hawthorne: "Glad you're able to recognize that, at least." He nodded, a small frown gracing his features. "When was this?"

Titania: "You're right, it was well over the line of what was right or proper. Even for me. But I was far worse than I am now and thought that was reasonable. She made me think of them and so I acted like the Monster I was when Amaranth died."

She tilts her head to look at Daniel. "She ripped the dress December 1968, she was taken mid 1969."

Valeria Rolan-Ruiz: Val blinks.

"So like..." She counts on her fingers and gives up. "A while ago. Jeez. I know time gets fucky but...any chance she's shown back up? Just...elsewhere?"

Daniel Hawthorne: "Possibly. She got back once, it could happen again." He looked to Titania at that. "How did you send her back?"

Titania: "Maybe, doesnt change anything until I know, one way. Or. The other."

She looks to Daniel. "Slavers."

Valeria Rolan-Ruiz: She shakes her head.

"I...doubt she would forgive you for that anyway, and some of the Lost I've seen can be pretty scary."

Daniel Hawthorne: Daniel let out a little "hmm" rather than a proper verbal response, offering another nod. "I'm not sure what interactions you've had with the Lost here lately, but some of them already view Kindred in a very poor light. I'd recommend not bringing that up if you don't have to."

Titania: "Yeah. Im well aware on all mentioned points. I dont seek forgiveness she doesnt owe me that. I just, want to know she is safe."

Then she nods. "Im aware that they have their issues with us. See us as being like Them, the ones that took and tortured them."

Daniel Hawthorne: "Mmm. That and the blood bond working as it does." He nodded quietly, his thumb lightly rubbing against the side of his finger for a few moments. "It's an understandable viewpoint, mind; having grown up in another court I know how rare the...civility of Philadelphia is in comparison."

Titania: "Yeah. I. Well I am what I am. I can't blame their view points. My hands are stained red as it were. This just adds to the list of my fuck ups."

She leans back in her chair looking up. Almost the equivalent of a sigh.

Right as Columba flies in carrying the dress which makes her reach for it. To feel the fabric between her fingers. He then lands on Daniel's head and drops it in his lap.

Valeria Rolan-Ruiz: Val shakes her head.

"I get why...I do, and I'm glad the interactions are like they are. Lets me and Liv date."

A pause as the raven flies in.

"Is this uh...Avery or?"

Daniel Hawthorne: "Agreed. I wouldn't have been able to have the manifestation of my clan's curse altered without meeting the willworkers here."

He glanced up as Columba flew in and landed on his head, smirking a touch at the shadow bird before catching the dress. The pair could almost see a switch flip as he went into work mode, pulling a small leather kit from his messenger bag for the magnifier within as he carefully inspected the fabric, treating the dress with the proper reverence it deserved.

Titania: "No. Not in Elysium. This is Columba. One of my pets from the Void."

Valeria Rolan-Ruiz: "Okay, that's why I was confused. Hi Columba."

A nod to the bird, and a look to the dress.

"Oh wow, that's really nice. I'm not a dress gal, but still."

Daniel Hawthorne: "This is from the 1400s, you said?" He inquired, looking over one of the rends in the fabric with the magnifier. "It's still in exquisite condition, the tears notwithstanding."

Titania: Columba bounces over to Ria landing on her head.

"Hello Ria, person of emotional interest for Mistress."

At which point Titania pipes up.

"I will end you Bird. Not tonight."

Then she nods to Daniel.

"Yes. I kept it safe once they died and it was thier dress gown so it didn't go out often. Only a few tines a decade."

Valeria Rolan-Ruiz: Val doesn't react great to it landing on her head.

"Ay, watch the hair. Get off."

A pause of surprise.

"Wait did you just talk?"

Then the realization hits.

"Oh yeah...should probably..." She waits for the vamps to not talk.

Daniel Hawthorne: If he wasn't as focused on the dress as he was Columba's comment would likely have caught Daniel's attention, but instead he simply nodded at Titania's response, gently rubbing the edge of the fabric between his fingers to get a feel for the thread count. "Getting the fabric to match might take some doing, but I'm willing to try."

Titania: Titania tilts her head at Ria. Columba bouncing to Rias shoulder.

"Yes he does that. What's up?"

Valeria Rolan-Ruiz: Val looks at him, blinking.

"Well hi again then."

A pause.

"Liv has asked that I uh...don't sleep with you or anything. She is a bit wary of you."

Vincent Drake: Vincent was actually skipping, yes skipping as he came into Elysium tonight. He must have been out with Maria or maybe a fancy Avery date night because he was snazzy, custom crimson silk shirt, custom fitted black suit jacket and custom dress pants, oh to have a sugar mommy who spoils ya. Upon seeing the gathered gang he smiled and walked over, standing next to Val prepared for a Noogie. "Evening everyone, Val, Ishtar, Daniel, how goes?"

Daniel Hawthorne: Daniel for his part was dressed casually but the ensemble was well-tailored to the Haunt, his usual sunglasses tucked into his shirt collar. He had a rather stunning - if damaged - black silk dress in hand, along with a magnifier that he was using to look it over in detail. "Evening. It's going well overall. Have a new restoration project on my hands at the moment..."

Titania: "I kind of assumed especially given tonight's discussion."

She tilts her head to Vinny.

"Oh its like you just had sex for the first time. Gross."

Valeria Rolan-Ruiz: Val was in her work uniform still, a competition tshirt that Vinny wasn't at, slacks, and nonslip shoes. She doesn't noogie Vin.

"Very much, honestly with that...I think I'm on her decision...who else knows, Bones?"

Vincent Drake: "Forgive me goddess for I have sinned," he says at the 'first time' comment, "I've lost my skin virgnity and have sullied my body with tattoos." he said before chuckling, a bit surprised at the lack of noogie, "Oh, that's a pretty awesome dress, yours I take it?" he asked Titania before looking to Val, "Know what?"

Daniel Hawthorne: Daniel left the 'first time' crack without comment, carefully folding up the dress and setting it in his lap. "Would you like me to hold onto this for now?" He asked Titania, then looked to Vincent. "What did you end up getting?"

Vincent Drake: "Mark of Slaanesh on my chest, raven wings on the back." he answered Daniel

Titania: She nods to Daniel ignoring Vinnys comment. Speaking to Ria.

"So am I for what its worth. Sorta struggling with the whole humanity bit. It's a work in progress or some shit like that."

Valeria Rolan-Ruiz: Val frowns, shaking her head, and not commenting on Titania's answer.

"Raven wings, huh? That's cute."

A sigh.

"I gotta get off my feet."

She goes and lays down on a nearby couch, fist under her head as she watches the others, taking off her shoes though.

Daniel Hawthorne: Daniel nodded and gingerly put the dress and the small kit into his bag, setting it back to the side. "I got a chance to talk with Avery recently at the diner. Very impressive artist."

Vincent Drake: "Avery is the best artist on the planet," he said wistfully, "Got this down by their friend, she's a pretty great tattoo artist." he smiled, however did notice the exchange between the two others, not commenting but observing, "So, how's unlife been?"

Titania: Titania looks between them all eyes distant as she follows the conversation while stroking Columba.

Valeria Rolan-Ruiz: "I still haven't met them, so I'll doubt it. How much did he bribe you two to help convince me they're real."

She said it jokingly.

Daniel Hawthorne: Daniel chuckled at the joke, nodding to Vincent. "Been well enough. Things are picking up at the studio for spring wedding season, got a few personal projects going as well. Can't complain."

Vincent Drake: "Avery is real, their sexy, their kickass and I have the best bird in the world Val, stop being so jealous." he joked, all in good fun of course

Titania: Titania closes her eyes then stands and heads for the door. Reverting to old German as she speaks.

"Have a good night everyone."

And is gone with but a whisper of her feet on carpet.

Valeria Rolan-Ruiz: She laughs at the prod, quickly cut off as Titi walks out.

"Should I...offer her a ride home or is that rude for an 800 year old Kindred?"

Noticeably directed to Daniel, not Vinny.

Daniel Hawthorne: "Have a good night." Daniel replied, giving Titania a nod before looking back to Val. "She probably flew in, knowing her."

Vincent Drake: "I think she flies most places or parkours," Vincent shrugged, "So Val, how goes?"

Valeria Rolan-Ruiz: She frowns but nods.

"Aight, I mean I doubt much could hurt her either."

A shrug.

"Decent. Work's been goin well so that's good."

Daniel Hawthorne: "Good to hear. Guessing your training is going smoothly as well, judging by the video you posted over the weekend?" He asked with a smile. "That was impressive."

Vincent Drake: "Fuck yeah, I shared that with everyone I knew," he get's a massive grin on his face, "She's back!"

Valeria Rolan-Ruiz: She chuckles, a happy smile on her face.

"It felt good. It felt really good. I'm excited for the tryouts."

There's a slight shadow of...something, and she bites her lip.

"I still need to do better though. Fun little parkour is nice but...I gotta wow judges and shit."

Daniel Hawthorne: "From one perfectionist to another, remember that 'good enough' can be good enough sometimes. You're going to rock the tryouts, no question of that."

Vincent Drake: "Something on your mind?" he says with concern

Valeria Rolan-Ruiz: "It can be, but the Olympics? Tad bit different. Just... gotta leave it all there. I'm mostly just worried though, already got the height disadvantage, also all the... drugs and stuff and losing all that time."

A frown.

"Just hoping I didn't lose too much time. I know I was better 4 years ago."

Daniel Hawthorne: "It'll make a great comeback story, if anything." He offered with a small smile. "You got this, Val."

Vincent Drake: "Val, listen to me, you're as good as where then," he nodded, "You're going to own it."

Valeria Rolan-Ruiz: She doesn't look completely sold, but shrugs.

"Thats the hope. But nah, I'm not as good. You know thats a lie Vin. I was top 10 after both the Vault and Bars last time...more so cause the Vault. I still got a ways to go."

Daniel Hawthorne: "I think you're being too hard on yourself, personally. You've had a hill to climb due to your injury and all the rest, but you've made some good progress. That's something to be applauded in itself."

Vincent Drake: "Val, you fucking deserve it, you broke your leg, struggled with shit, got fucking shot, if anyone deserves that gold, it's you."

Valeria Rolan-Ruiz: She sighs.

"Vin, you're my bestie. For one, no one knows I got shot or turned to drugs and its gonna stay that way. And B, I'm not the only sob story. I'm not. There's probably some worse than mine, and can talk about it cause its not..." she gestures at Elysium.

She sits up, followed by a yawn.

"So as cool as you think I am, the judges don't care, and they're who I gotta play to."

Daniel Hawthorne: "They'll see the effort you've put into it, I'm sure of that." Daniel nodded, looking Val over. "You've got a bit yet until the tryouts, yeah?"

Vincent Drake: "No one is going to know, I'm just saying the universe owes you this." he said, looking at his watch, "Shit, I gotta bounce, Val we'll talk later." he said before heading out

Valeria Rolan-Ruiz: "I got until October. I think the universe's got its own plans honestly."

Val nods.

"Yeah I'm half falling asleep here, you wanna ride, Vin?"

A fist bump offered to Daniel.

"See ya around?"

Daniel Hawthorne: "You bet." He returned the fistbump, standing up from his own seat. "I should head out and drop this dress off at the studio to keep it safe. You two have a good night."
