Log

Another day, another series of orders and commissions, repairs and projects to work on. Al's 24hr was as busy as ever during the day, though the repairs in the garage had largely been finished, and the store/deli was running smoothly on it's own.

Olivia had received another card not long after her first appointment, and a communication from Augur to let her know her armor was ready for pick up. Once again staff nodded in acknowledgement at her approach, and directed the Lost to the Ars Armory elevator, where the mechanism was ready to take her down several levels.

In the Armory itself Phyx waited with excitement, always in a state of semi-manic happiness at having completed a commission and having it ready to hand over. He was waiting in the lounge area where he'd taken Olivia's measurements, a series of cases sitting next to him on the couch. Dressed in a simple sweater, slacks and boots, he looked more like the businessman than the mechanic today, but neither one was really all that far from the other.

Olivia:

Olivia arrived wearing her usual dark attire, a few scant streaks of color cutting across the otherwise black t-shirt she had on under the jacket she wore to ward off the cold. A thin, sparse coat of fur doesn't do that much against Pennsylvania winter, as it turns out.

Phyx:

When the elevator dinged to let Olivia out into the Ars Armory main area, Phyx gave a wave to her from the lounge. "Hey! Glad you could come down. I’m really stoked to see what you think." He gestured for her to join him, where be bounced on the balls of his feet. "I think it should be everything you wanted and then some."

Olivia:

Olivia smiled. "That's great to hear. Mind if I wear it out? I don't doubt that it fits, I just figure lugging some big cases back to my apartment may not be the most convenient of things."

Phyx:

"Oh definitely. There's a changing room just over yonder." He pointed down the hall with one hand. "But first let me lay it all out for you."

Phyx went to start opening the cases he'd placed everything in, starting with the smallest. A pair of black, thigh high boots that were clearly quite sturdy, as well as comfortable. "These are steel toed, and as protective as the rest of it. Like the rest, it's NBC rated in case you wander into any extremely hazardous areas. They're light enough that they should slow you down any, but will definitely keep your feet clean." He grinned at that, then went for the next case. A pair of dark black leather pants came out.

"These are overall protected, but sport additional protection at the inner and outer thigh, and the rear end. It's got multiple pockets as well as a few hidden ones, in case you need to try and get something small in somewhere. Fully bullet proof, and should stand up to just about any sort of conventional melee weapon or attack..."

The final case was opened, and this one with a flourish. The jacket was double breasted and lined with faux fur for warmth, the inner lining and piping a dark green. The jacket looked pristine and half shined in the light. "Now this is my favorite bit. Fully bulletproof, fully NBC rated. Multiple pockets outside and in, and space to store larger stuff like a weapon or pistol. It'll take serious ordinance to get through this thing, if anything can at all. Moreover, the whole thing is thermally neutral, so it won't burn or freeze, and it's insulated throughout. As with the rest of it. Back, elbows, collarbone and neck all have added protection, while the front flap snaps over to form a full plate." He pulled out two gloves from the pockets. They had armored knuckles and buttons to snap into the jacket. "These are fingerless, but they have fingers you can pull over in case you need to pick up something that's maybe not safe. Also to hide fingerprints." "Feel free to go try it all on. If there are any modifications that need to be made I'll do it before you head out. But with the measurements I took, it shouldn't restrict or slow your movement down in the least, and will keep you protected from a whole hell of a lot."

Olivia:

Olivia makes an impressed whistle. She takes the pieces into the changing room, emerging a few minutes later, stretching and flexing to test the new outfit. She smiles. "Looks good, feels good. I think it works."

Phyx:

Phyx gave a double thumbs up and grinned. "Supplexcellent! Everything fine? Nothing catching?" He bobbed up and down in excitement. "Truly fantastic news."

Olivia:

"Yeah, this should do nicely. Thanks a lot. I owe you one." Liv moves around a little bit more, making sure the whole thing is nicely broken in before she takes it for a run, or runs in to any trouble on one. "Anything else you need from me before I head out?"

Phyx:

Phyx just shot a finger gun at Olivia. "It's no worry. Might ask in return that you help me get some of stuff made for myself, but it won't cost anymore than this did. I'm glad it works for you. Looks great too."

At her final question he shook his head. "Nope. Should be good to go. I'd still suggest a customized helmet, but I dunno how often you worry about getting whacked in the noggin. Either way, that gear should keep you safe. And if it ever needs repairing, just come on back and we'll get it fixed for you for free.. That's the Ars Armory guarantee."

Olivia:

"Alright then. Good to know. Have a good one." Liv waves goodbye to Phyx as she boards the elevator and leaves the esoteric workshop.

Phyx:

"Take care! Stay safe! Have fun storming the castle!"
