Thespis

Thespis was currently at maddys for breakfast, waffles, bacon, French toast and chocolate milk. He was wearing khakis and a black collared shirt, currently reading the paper
Psyche
Psyche steps in through the portal, sans Rook unfortunatly, but just ahead enough to spy Thespis.

She was dressed far more casually than normal, a hoodie on, its a bit small for her, and one that's likely been seen on Ylva before. She quietly mouths 'help' to Thespis before straightening up like nothing happened.
Kenzie
Right on Psyches tail is a Kenzie, oversized black hoodie, black leggings and boots. Her hood is up over her head. No camera bag this morning. "C-mon! Just tell meeeeee! Emotions are good to express!" Basically if she wasn't instep with the taller woman, shed havd tripped over her feet so was so close.
Thespis
Thespis raised an eyebrow with the help but when Kenzie followed he chuckled, understanding the situation. "Psyche, Kenzie," he raised his milk and throws Psyche a lifeline, "Morning."
Psyche
Psyche sighs at the excitable young mage was on her heels.

"Let me at least get coffee first. Hi Thespis. Good morning."
Kenzie
"Fiiiiiiine!" She huffs. Far too much energy this morning. "What -does- coffee taste like? I've never had coffee --- or caffeinated drinks before." She admits, and possibly putting fear in the hearts and souls of those around her. She bounces over to Thespis and takes the chocolate milk he -offered- and takes a sip before setting the cup back down. "What a glorious morning." She sits across from Thespis and snags a menu.
Thespis
Thespis chuckled, taking a sip of his drink, "Coffee is the universal wake me up, be sure to add cream and sugar, otherwise it's bitter as fuck." He nods before turning to Psyche, "So, how have you been, any interesting cases?" He asks, trying to avoid the recent drama
Psyche
"I...bought you coffee...here. And I spent the rest of your time here wondering if you would explode. It was before the Atlantis discussion I think." Psyche raises an eyebrow.

"One I was working on before the most...recent upset in our society."
Kenzie
Her eyes went wide at Psyche. "Dude, what?! You messed with my body chemistry?!" Mock anger as she huffs and crosses her arms. "Did I drink it though? I often get drinks and don't actually drink them. But I also don't remember an Atlantis talk either."
Thespis
"Kitten, for the love of Spielberg, never have a Red Bull, I'm afraid you might break something or someone." He chuckled before turning to Psyche, "Yes. . .which I'm sure is working itself out, nothing more then demotion, which trust me is not the end of the world, I was demoted at lest three times in the years of my. . .fall from grace." He shrugs, "It's darkest before the dawn, things will work out."
Psyche
"You...begged me for caffeine and I was spiraling, so I said yes out of guilt. I think you did drink it, yes."

She shakes her head.

"I'm worried for Bones, I've texted a few times and gotten no response. Normally they reply within a few minutes at most. Have either of you heard from them?"
Kenzie
"Sounds like you're the irresponsible one giving me of all things caffeine. Would you give a 5 year old sugar?!" She teased. Trying to lighten the mood a tad. She offers a soft smile to Psyche and shakes her head. "They left their phones on the counter with a note they wanted some alone time. We have respected that so far. They will turn up soon."
Thespis
He nods in agreement with Kenzie, "Yes, we all need time for introspection, when I got out of the hospital, spent a week or two. . reflecting."

N'kai appears seated next to him, her usual crimson skinned demonic self

"Bullshit, you where on drug induced bender-"

"Point is I was in thr same space, and look at me now." He smiles
Psyche
"Frankly I expected it to be like Ylva, she tends to mellow out after caffeine. I was proven wrong."

There's a grimace at the phone comment.

"I hope they are okay, Bones does not seem to me like someone to take something like this well. I can't help but feel that I am responsible."

There is a solid pause at the summoning of the succubus, and Psyche turns her head away. If you listen closely you may be able to hear the short circuit of an asexual seeing a succubus appear.

She speaks to Kenzie.

"You know...things make far more sense now."
Kenzie
"Bone is a Phoenix. Right now they're burned, beaten, and broken. But when they choose to come home, they will be better, alive, vibrant and ready to prove themself. I have full faith and trust in my Cadremate. I will help them any way I can and right now that is to let them molt in private so they can shed the old bones away and come back fresh. When they come back, my arms will be wide open for them. As they are for you if you need a hug. Because just as bones, you too will come back, wiser, smarter, more resilient. Wanna know how I know? Because I have seen you do it before with Fox and Charlevelle."
Thespis
Thespis turns to N'kai

"See what you did to Psyche, shoo." He motions a 'head off' wave, N'kai for her part stares at him

"Your on the couch." She simply says as she vanished, leading a groan from Thespis

"She means it to, she'll do everything in her power to prevent a night's sleep unless it's the couch now." He rolls his eyes, "But yes, the Phoenix analogy is on point."
Psyche
Psyche shakes her head.

"It was unexpected, but others are allowed to present how they wish."

A sigh.

"I think it is a beautiful analogy, and I do hope Bones returns stronger. I know that they were...not the most excited at the position in the first place. But..I do hope I can return as well."

Psyche frowns.

"I have pleaded guilty to the charges against Bones and myself, and that it was my fault for dragging your cadremate into the crime against Kaminari's sanctum. I hope they drop Bones's charges."
Kenzie
"I don't even know what happened in that situation, just the general announcement of it all. But--- sadly, your actions are Bones actions. Wanting that role or not, that was the terms they had to agree to. They are the terms they will accept. I can also tell you, they will not and have not blamed you for any of this."
Thespis
Thespis nods,"Politics is a bitch," he shakes his head, "Bones will be fine, they just need time. " He offers the two some of his bacon, "For now, let's forget the whole thing." He smiles
Psyche
Psyche takes a deep breath, realizing Klaire was bleeding in.

"Sure, yes. Lets just stay positive and hope it works out. Only time will tell at this point."
Kenzie
"Im positive fate is on our side." She assures Psyche with a soft smile. She orders a omelet, bacon, slice of ham, toast, eggs over easy, and hot chocolate. "How have you been, Psyche? Been keeping busy?"
Thespis
Thepsis sips his milk and devours his waffles
Psyche
Psyche just orders coffee and waffles.

"Yes, I have been. Thank you again for that spell to help me find a client. I'm just waiting on responses now. And Ylva has been dealing with her community center, so I'm helping support her as I can."
Kenzie
She nods. "Of course. I'm glad it was enough." She tests Psyche, and when her coffee arrives, she slowly reaches for it.
Thespis
"You might want cream with that dear." Thespis chuckled watching Kenzie reach to the mug
Psyche
Psyche smiles and pushes the mug towards her.

"If you wish to make bad decisions, that is on you. Although yes, you will want cream."
Kenzie
She takes the cup. "You're an enabler." She teased as she pulls the cup closer. She went to take a sip waiting to see if anyone stops her. Klaire would stop her!
Thespis
Thespis sipped his chocolate milk, curious to see a caffinated Kenzie
Psyche
One can almost see Klaire hesitating inside, but this was Psyche, she was supportive of her friends and family and would do anything for them.

"I am, yes. I want you to make your own decisions and acknowledge the consequences."
Kenzie
She sipped the coffee. Her eyes clinch and her face squishes tight as she sets the cup down. "People -enjoy- this?!" She quickly gets her hot chocolate to drink. "Why do you hate yourself?!"
Thespis
"We told you to add cream and sugar." He shakes his head, "Well, you know the story of my ex, I've thrived in an environment like Hollywood, I need a cocktail of drugs, psychedelics, and chocolate milk to smile at myself in the morning, I'm I missing any other reasons to hate myself?"
Psyche
"Oh no, I hate myself for many reasons, but coffee is not one of them. I am still working on not hating those other parts of myself." She puts her preferred ratio of creamer in the coffee and takes a sip.

"I personally prefer tea, but each person has their preferences."
Kenzie
After watching Psyche add the cream and sugar. She takes the cup again to try a sip. "Does cream and sugar really help?" She was hesitant to do this to herself again.
Thespis
Thespis himself pirs cream, sugar, and stirs it into a perfect mix, "try it again, if it's still bad I'll make it up to you somehow." He smiles
Psyche
Psyche is not a suger in the coffee person. Ylva is.

"It does, but each person has preferred ratios. Ylva has about 80 percent sugar and I have no idea how."
Kenzie
She sees Thespis has more cream and sugar in his, so she gives Psyche hers back and drinks Thespis cup. The same result, squinty face and her mouth puckered as she tries to get the taste off her tongue. "Seriously?! That didn't help even a little! Its like regular coffee but for cats!" She whimpered while rubbing bacon on her tongue. "Its not helping!"
Thespis
"Can I get a Coke, Mt.Dew, something caffeinated." He asks the staff, "Kitten, we will get you caffeine." He swears solemnly
Psyche
Psyche laughs, which is a sound neither of them has ever heard out of Klaire.

"Next time you are at my home, I will make tea for you Kenzie."
Kenzie
"I think I am done trying caffeinated drinks. It doesn't seem worth it." She still has a sour face, happy when her food arrived to try and eat the taste away.
Thespis
He shrugs and and continues to drink his chocolate milk, "Oh, Psyche, has Kenzie told you about our television quest?"
Kenzie
Her leg began to twitch, and soon rather rapidly. She chewed her lower lip more as she got antsy. Then the thumb drumming on the table. "Uhhh--- Why am I so jittery? I don't like this. Am--- Am I dying?!" Her heart pounding. She clinches her chest, fear on her face. "Oh god. whats going on?"
Thespis
"Kitten," he says with some concern, "What's wrong, caffeine going bad?"
Kenzie
"Is this what caffeine does?! God, why?! I--- and -I'm- the weird one?!" She eats some more of her food, she is hungry after all. "I'll --- I---, I need to find a place to hide and die in a corner like a sick cat." She gets up from the table and leaves through the portal.
Thespis
Thespis shakes his head, "Kids these days, can't handle a little caffeine, but she does drugs?" He chuckled
Psyche
Psyche sighs.

"It was her decision, here, lets go grab her and make sure she is okay."

She stands, walking towards the entrance.
Kenzie
Kenzie came back through the portal, no longer in her oversized hoodie and leggings. Shes now in a white tank top, and skinny jeans with comfortable shoes. Her hair in a pony tail. She has a half eaten Philly cheese steak, and a giant pretzel in hand. Her eyes were wide as she slowly makes her way back to the table and sits. Having seemingly missed Psyche going to fetch her she looks to Thespis. "That was crazier than any fucking pill I have taken before. "As I strolled through the park to wear down the caffeine, I stumbled upon a group of street performers. There was a magician, a juggler, and a clown, and they were all trying to get the attention of the crowd. As the show progressed, I noticed something strange about the performers. The magician was pulling out live snakes from his hat, the juggler was juggling flaming knives, and the clown was juggling chainsaws. Then they just started to chase me, so I ran--- But I am ok now. I'm here." She blinks a bit. "Wild right?"
Thespis
Thespis just stares at her and laughed his ass off, "Ok, So clearly caffeine is her wild party drug." He says after a minute of laughing, "you burned out or feel like clubbing later tonight?"
Psyche
Psyche enters a moment later.

"There you are, thank goodness. Are you alright Kenzie? I saw a street performance outside and they said they saw you run off. How are you feeling?"

She steps up, checking to make sure Kenzie wasn't hurt.
Kenzie
"I'm ok. I think they wanted this Cheesesteak. Its pretty damn good. Want some?" She was a bit jittery still but not much. "Clubbing? Uh--- Maybe. Psyche coming too?"
Thespis
"Sure, want to hang at Vertigo?" He asks Psyche, "Drinks and dancing?"
Psyche
Psyche shakes her head.

"You didn't pay, hun. I paid behind you. Are you sure you feel well enough to go somewhere as busy as that?"
Kenzie
"I mean, my heart is still pounding--- Does this last -all day-?!" She looked scared as if expecting a yes. "I've done drugs less scary than this! COFFEE ISN'T WORTH IT!"
Thespis
"Um. . .Kenzie," uh oh, not nickname he's serious, "Maybe we should head home, you sound. . .I'll make you a milkshake if it helps?"
Psyche
"How are you at Life, hun? Can you clear this?"

She pauses.

"I think I could clear this, actually. May I try?"
Kenzie
"Oh, shit, I -could- clear this--- duuuude." Her eyes wide again. "Hows the coffee comedown? That has to be harsh, yeah? Like--- the shakes? I--- I do things mundane but maybe-- Should I pull it from my system?" Her tummy growls. her eyes go wide for a different reason. "Oh god, whats happening now?!" She seems to have never been told Caffeine is a natural diarrhetic.
Thespis
He gets up, "Kenz um. . .coffee paradox is happening it seems, I think we should head home?" He suggested
Erik
While Kenzie dealt with her caffeine induced shenanigans Erik slipped through the portal, looking much better for wear than the night before. He gave Psyche and Thespis a quick salute, eyeing Kenzie curiously. "Everything good?"
Psyche
Psyche sighs, holding Kenzie's hands to focus her.

"Hun, drink some water, I suggest using the little girl's room before you go, and you lay down for a bit, either here or at home. If you want me to try to clear the caffeine, I can try."

Kenzie
She -was- going to contain herself. But Erik came through the portal and Kenzies eyes went wide. He. is. hot. "No! I'm dying! They poisoned me with Coffee and I need all of the CPR!" --- She looks to Erik. "From someone over 6 foot!" She plays dead, laying back on the booth, head back, tongue out like a dog playing dead.
Thespis
Thespis chuckled and sat back down,
Erik
Erik simply stood there for a moment as Kenzie went full theatrics, the initial confusion settling into amusement as he chuckled. "Not much of a caffeine person, I take it?"
Psyche
Psyche pinches her brow.

"Kenzie... Kenzie...please."
Kenzie
Her tummy grumbled again before she sat up. "Not at all. No." She smirks a bit to Psyche and nudges her. "Sure, I'm curious to see how your stuff works. Cleans my temple of this vile poison thou shalt call --- caffeine." She looks to Erik, who she has never met before. "Hello, I'm Kenzie, just your friendly every day gho--- witch. I'm a witch, not a ghost." She smiles sweetly.
Thespis
Thespis just sits and drinks his chocolate milk, "thank you friend, your entrance seems to have been the cure she needed, your a life saver." He chuckled
Erik
"I'd be able to tell if you were." He smirked, moving to join the trio. "Erik Samuelson, good to meet you."
Psyche
Psyche takes a deep breath, holding Kenzie's hands and focusing. Those with Mage Sight could see the flare of her psychic powers.

She sits and focuses for a few moments, focusing on Kenzie's body, all the injuries, and all the problems, and focused them towards herself. Essentially, trying to steal the pain from Kenzie. A few seconds later, her eyes open, and she looks dissapointed.

"I don't think this is something I can clear."
Kenzie
She grins and nudges Psyche more. "I -told- you people think its good to meet me!" She looks back to Erick. "The pleasure is mine." She chews her lip a bit as she looks to Thespis, but speaks to his familiar. "He sounds jealous. Is he jealous?" She teased and looks to Thespis. "No need to be jealous!" Her focus back to Psyche and Erik. "A ghost specialist I presume? --- and, thats ok Psyche." Tummy grumble. "I'll be ok."
Thespis
"I am not jealous," he rolls his eyes, as N'kai hovers behind Kenzie and appears again, wrapping her arms around her, yes Erik just saw a crimson succubus with horns and bat wings show up out of now where

"He's not jealous. .i don't think I've ever. . .oh now I want to see jealous Addy." She grins evily, "need a new flavor."

Thespis rolled his eyes again, this time due to N'kai "So Erik, care to sit with us, Kenzie here has learned caffeine is her kyptonite."
Erik
"Mmhmm. Bound or Sin-Eater, if you're familiar." He started to slide into the booth, stopping midway through as N'kai suddenly manifested. He blinked before giving her a nod, sitting the rest of the way down.
Psyche
Psyche, being right next to Kenzie, shakes her head as N'kai appears again.

"I think you will be fine Kenzie. I think tea may be more your style in the future."
Kenzie
"Oh I met one last night. She is cool as shit! Rachel was her name. She took my number." She nods to Psyche. "I'll try this leaf soup of yours. But I must admit, I do not have high hopes."
Thespis
Thespis takes out his phone and starts texting, "Tea is good for sleep i find, should help," he says as he pockets his phone, "So, what's it like, having a ghost with you, might not be the same but," he gestures to N'kai, "I think I can imagine."
Erik
"Rachel..." he repeated the name, thinking a moment. "Don't know if I've run into her yet."

"It's like having a permanent roommate in a way, just in your head instead of your apartment. He and I used to butt heads a lot more when I first took the Bargain but we've gotten on a closer wavelength since."
Psyche
"Some teas are without caffeine. Many of mine are. I just find that I'd rather brew my own tea and let places, like here, that make coffee more consistently than I do fuel my coffee needs instead."

She sits up, looking away from N'kai and Kenzie, and towards Erik.

"I think that is a great thing to have, working together rather than competing. Sounds healthier for you both."
Kenzie
“She’s cool. Met her in an abandoned church that was set to be demolished 6 years ago or so. We both ended up in it to take photos.” She laughs softly.
Thespis
Thespis blinks, "Oh. . .oh boy I can imagine that." He says as N'kai vanished, "first year with her was. ..well, we're on the save wavelength now. . .most of the time."
Erik
"Definitely. He's a stubborn bastard on his best days, but we work pretty much in sync these days even if we disagree on the methodology."
Psyche
Psyche smiles.

"The closest I have is my service dog. Our minds are often connected, so it's easy to work together in our line of work. Being in sync with what is essentially your partner through this side of things is a valuable thing to have."
Kenzie
"Now don't I just feel lonely A-F." She picks at her food. The caffeine seeming to have warn off.
Thespis
"Kitten, you are surrounded by friends, how are you lonely?" He shrugs, "Want to borrow N'kai for a week, have her follow you around?"
Erik
"Agreed. Plus I wouldn't be here without him anyway, so I'll take the bumps as they come."
Kenzie
She got serious for a moment, leaning in towards Thespis. "You've clearly never known what its like to be alone in a room full of people. To be the one picked on and teased. Excluded because your skin was just slightly too dark, or you're too short, or because -girls can't do that- having to prove yourself over and over. You Don't know what its like, to be in a full room, and feel lost and alone. That, makes me happy, but don't for a second ever think, that just because one is surrounded by people, that they are not alone. Everyone. -Everyone-. Has a silent battle that you don't know about." She leans back in her seat and gets on her phone.
Psyche
Psyche frowns at Kenzie's comments, putting a supportive hand on the younger woman's shoulder.

"Kenzie, I need to get back to Rook. Would you mind joining me so we can walk him?"
Thespis
Thespis just blinks and shuts up
Kenzie
She nods to Psyche. "yeah! That sounds great."
Psyche
Psyche stands up, putting a sizable bill on the table.

"Enjoy something for me please, Mr. Erik. I'm going to help Ms. Kenzie get home."
Thespis
Thespis stands up and heads out the portal, not saying anything
Erik
Erik looked to Kenzie as she spoke, giving her a supportive nod. As Thespis stood as well he sat back in his seat, nodding to Psyche. "Thanks. Was good meeting you, Kenzie."
Kenzie
"You too. Uh, so sorry shit got -weird- and deep. I uh, I -- yeah." She rubs the back of her own neck. She watched Thespis just leave. "Now I feel bad abandoning Erik here. I'm also slightly worried I'm going to be mom guilted in the car." She smirked side eyeing Psyche. "Wait, you're not going to mom guilt me right?"
Psyche
Psyche watches as Thespis leaves, shaking her head.

"No, no. I'm no mother. Is it too much to ask a friend to join me?"
Erik
"I'll be fine, no worries." He waved off Kenzie's concern with a small smile. "Wouldn't want to third wheel on an important conversation. You all have a good one."
Kenzie
She laughs softly and pays for her food with some crumpled bills and moves to follow Psyche "Hope to see you around, Erik. I promise I might try to be better behaved next time."
