The Green Room Studio

Log

Jeremiah Hamilton: With the official business between the pair completed for the time being, Jeremiah decided it was safe enough to reach out to Klaire on a more mentor-ish level, wanting to check in on her and see how she was developing on that front. Thus an invite went out to the Sleepwalker to meet at the Green Room, with the Warlock leading her to the music studio upstairs for further privacy after a quick stop at the counter in case she wanted to grab a drink along the way.

Klaire Henriette: She took some tea from downstairs, just because tea was good, and followed the Mage upstairs. She was so much more relaxed now that she could just...talk to him now, and not feel like she was walking on eggshells. Rook had stayed home, instructions for him to take care of Ylva, and way more instructions for Ylva to take care of him. ONLY 3 treats max! She would know!

But now, she was with the Mage that had already taught her so much, and was offering to teach her more.

Jeremiah Hamilton: Jeremiah claimed a hot chocolate for himself before they headed up, grabbing his usual seat on the piano bench and motioning for Klaire to sit where she liked. "How have you been?" He asked with a smile, looking her over.

Klaire Henriette: She sat on a rug nearby, cross legged.

"Better since you reached out to me. Things have been...slow on this side, but I've had several cases pop up recently in my firm that have needed my expertise."

Jeremiah Hamilton: "Hopefully those are going well." He nodded quietly. "You mentioned having trouble finding the divide the last time we talked at the hall, how's that been going?"

Klaire Henriette: "For the most part. The unfortunate part of my job is that it is going best when I'm out of work."

A nod.

"I did. I haven't focused on what makes me Psyche. More so what makes me Klaire."

Jeremiah Hamilton: "True enough. Kind of a good problem to have."

"A good way to go about it. What have you pinned down so far?"

Klaire Henriette: "Indeed."

She frowns.

"Its...vague at best. I have been working on being a supportive friend...encouraging people as I can to do what they feel is best for them. Or helping limit the parts they don't want, such as Ylva and her addictions."

Jeremiah Hamilton: "Sounds good so far. Have you hit any particular road bumps with it?"

Klaire Henriette: "I've been working on not relying on my telepathy to help...and that's been hard. Being in that area of not knowing is difficult."

Jeremiah Hamilton: "I can imagine. It's one of the cornerstones of how you do your work, yeah?"

Klaire Henriette: "It is, and has been for a while. On cases I've used it, but less so for day to day problems."

Jeremiah Hamilton: "Makes sense. What prompted you to step back from using it as much as you have been?"

Klaire Henriette: "A story by Master Thespis that gave me pause. It was less so the story and more so... applying it to myself that prompted me to step back. I need to be able to interact with others without telepathy if I want to be able to talk genuinely with them. Or with those who can stop my telepathy, such as the Awakened."

Jeremiah Hamilton: Cue a curious arch of the eyebrow, followed by a small nod. "Ah hah. A valid reason, admittedly. He didn't scare you too much from using your abilities, I hope?"

Klaire Henriette: "No, just from using them recklessly and without need. I... have been proud to have them, and have probably shown them off more than is smart."

Jeremiah Hamilton: "What Thespis would deem as 'reckless' is likely a lot stricter than most, what with being with the Veil and all." He watched Klaire for a moment, gauging her thoughts on the matter. "There's nothing wrong with being proud of what you can accomplish."

Klaire Henriette: She frowns.

"And what about what I would deem as reckless? If I rely too much on my magical talents and not my mundane ones...isn't that causing problems?"

Jeremiah Hamilton: "If you feel like you've been leaning on them too much that's perfectly fine and within your right. An overabundance of caution does just as much harm as too little, though."

Klaire Henriette: She sighs.

"I'm just not sure how to feel about it. I'm wary of..."

She looks around while grasping at the air with her off hand.

"I don't know how to word it."

Jeremiah Hamilton: "What was the story he told you about, and what about it made you change your tact on things?"

Klaire Henriette: She sighs and thinks back.

"It was a story from when he was an apprentice. It was supposed to be an example of how easily a mage could abuse the Arcanum. A friend of his at the time was using Mind to win over people, and suggested Thespis do the same for someone he had fallen for."

She shook her head.

"It was not his intent, but I saw my own abilities reflected in that. Swaying others by knowing their wants and motivations in a way they couldn't reciprocate. So I've tried to...refrain a bit more."

Jeremiah Hamilton: "...ah hah." He sat back in his seat, looking Klaire over as the gears turned. "Correct me if I'm wrong, but it sounds to me that, while he didn't scare you per se, he did make you anxious about using your abilities by pointing out the bad that can be done with them rather than the good you have been doing. About right?"

Klaire Henriette: She winces.

"No, not exactly. It was not intentional and it was more how thin the line was between the good and bad use of these abilities."

Jeremiah Hamilton: "It doesn't matter if it was intentional or not. Is that how it made you feel, or am I off the mark?"

Klaire Henriette: She pauses, staring at the floor.

"I...guess so. Yes."

Jeremiah Hamilton: "Thank you for being honest, both to me and to yourself." He let out a slow breath, leaning forward a bit as he looked Klaire over. "I won't deny that there is always the possibility of abuse of one's abilities, whether mundane or magical; a natural sweet-talker can change minds just as smoothly as a telepath in some cases. Where the Ladder and the Veil differ in this matter is that we strive to guide others away from falling into that mindset and using what they have for the betterment of others, while the Veil does its best to restrict them from using it in the first place because of what might happen."

"You are a good person, Klaire, and you've used your abilities to do good things. You shouldn't feel like a part of yourself isn't meant to be used or seen because of hypothetical wrongs."

Klaire Henriette: She frowns and takes the moment to think it through.

"I can't help but feel as if there is another side of that coin. You see it that way because you are a member of the Silver Ladder, there is likely some other appeal for them as well. That's.. often how these things show themself to be."

She sighs.

"But no, I am far from a good person and I am attempting to fix that. The ends do not always justify the means."

Jeremiah Hamilton: "There likely is. Magic is something to be protected, and in their eyes the best way to do so is to try and control who has access to it. I do applaud their efforts as far as ferreting out bad apples goes, but sometimes their criteria for who is 'right' to have magic is far too stringent."

"Your heart is in the right place, at least. As someone who pulled themselves out of an incredibly selfish and harmful lifestyle I know how hard making that shift can be, and I see the work you've been putting into it and I'm incredibly proud of you for it."

Klaire Henriette: She sighs, looking ready to argue but stops herself.

"Okay. I think they do have trouble with figuring out where that line would be. If there should be a line."

She takes another deep breath.

"I'm trying my best. I don't think my best is good enough yet, but I'm trying."

Jeremiah Hamilton: He offered a nod, smiling softly as she continued. "We're always our own worst critic, so keep that in mind. You making the effort is the important thing, though."

Klaire Henriette: A dismissive hand.

"That's my long term issue that I'm putting effort towards. But thank you, I appreciate it Jeremiah."

She looks back at him finally.

"And thank you for helping walk me through it. I know there were...other things you wanted to walk me through today, right?"

Jeremiah Hamilton: He gave her a quiet look at the dismissive gesture, followed by a 'I see what you're doing' smirk. "You're welcome, on both counts."

"There was indeed." He nodded, moving to join her on the floor and sitting cross-legged in front of her so they were face to face. "I know Bones already ran you through the big brother of this particular spell, but the Supernal Vision can show you some equally important things about who or what you're looking at."

Klaire Henriette: Was she trying to move on? Yeahhhh, yeah she was. She looked thankful that he let it go. She shifted to give him more room.

"Where they let me use some of the Mage Sights and we inadvertently found that the same force of will that helps Mages focus on that spell is what allows me to use my own abilities, yes?"

A nod.

"What should I be prepared for? Or is it easier to explain while it is active?"

Jeremiah Hamilton: "Don't recall you mentioning that part, but good to know." He nodded, making a mental note for future sessions.

"If you're familiar at all with aura reading it's in a similar vein, but is tied to the Supernal aspects of the target." He watched her for a moment, a small smile on his face. "Ready?"

Klaire Henriette: "Indeed. I want sure if I had, so I made sure I mentioned it now."

She adjusts slightly, getting comfortable.

"I'm familiar with the ability, I believe Aya has it. But I have never experienced it. I'm ready when you are."

Jeremiah Hamilton: Jeremiah nodded, closing his eyes and taking in a breath before letting it out slowly. When his eyes opened again Sirius looked out through them, a small smile forming as he began to guide her through the meditation, his already pleasant voice almost hypnotic. He spoke of the flame that dwelled in the heart of all mankind, shining against the darkness that swirled around them, and how that spark yearned to make itself known and guide those that carried it into a bright future. She was directed to picture that light within her, come to know it and see what wisdom it could provide her as well.

Some time passed as the two sat, his even tone keeping at a steady place throughout, until he felt the attainment's workings settle into place. When Klaire next looked towards him there was a bright corona of light about him, pale ivory in color with little flickers here and there that wanted to be something solid but would need more focus to easily discern. "And voila." Sirius said with a warm smile, watching for her reaction. "What do you think?"

Klaire Henriette: She had been through dozens of guided meditations before, and settled into it easily. Her breathing was even and focused, and reacted to his voice. Picturing every step.

When her eyes eventually opened, she closed them again and reopened them before realizing that...yes...that was supposed to be there.

"It is..." a curious look, "strange. You see the light around all the Mages constantly?"

Jeremiah Hamilton: "Only when using this spell, and this is how I perceive it personally. Other mages may see it differently."

"The base effect allows you to see where along the Path the target is in reference to the Supernal, and with additional focus you can see more details about their connection to it: my path, what Arcana I've studied and how potent the mastery of a certain Arcana is, what form my Nimbus takes, and a few other things."

Klaire Henriette: "Ah, and that is the Imago, yes?"

She takes a moment to look around the room for anything else that glowed in a similar fashion, and then down at her own arms.

"Which is why you have such a glow as you are a Mage and have traveled to your Path. I'd presume this might make it quite easy to find a Mage among a crowd then."

Jeremiah Hamilton: There were no other magically enhanced items in the studio that she could see, and looking at herself revealed a similar aura to his own albeit with different flickering symbols throughout.

"The Imago is something separate, actually, serving as the mental embodiment of what we want the spell in question to accomplish. And it can, unless they have things cloaked properly."

Klaire Henriette: "Which is why the cloaks are so important. I think I understand slightly better."

A nod, before gesturing to him.

"May I?"

Jeremiah Hamilton: "Go ahead. If you need help translating anything you see feel free to ask."

Klaire Henriette: She nods and looks him over.

"I see...okay. The corona is less...white the closer I look at it. It's a rainbow. Although...I see the occasional tendril of white light too. What does that mean?"

Jeremiah Hamilton: "That would be my Nimbus." He replied with a warm smile. "It used to be auditory, but with my last progression up the Tower it took more after Polly's mien. Still a little jarring to look at in person but I hope to shape that further going forward."

Klaire Henriette: "That's adorable. I am glad you two are so happy together. I've been told...slightly about the Nimbus. What does this" She gestures at it, "mean for you? As in... how do you feel like it defines you, personally?"

Jeremiah Hamilton: "Thanks." The smile remained as he nodded, thinking a moment on her question. "Calling upon Sirius as I have over the last...hell, close to a decade at this point, serving as a bright light to help guide others has always been a big part of what I do. I was able to finally let go of a lot of hurt that was coloring how my magic showed itself, and things changed accordingly."

Klaire Henriette: A smile of happiness for her friend.

"I do appreciate how much...so many things are symbolic to each person. Every story is distinct."

She gestures around him.

"And what are the six orbs?"

Jeremiah Hamilton: "It's one of the more interesting things about talking with other Awakened, I agree. Even those of us who are tied to the same Realm often have wildly different experiences within it, each colored by our own life and experiences up until that point."

"The strength of my connection to Pandemonium and the Supernal in general, or Gnosis as a more succinct term."

Klaire Henriette: "No two are the same, just as no two people are the same and must be approached differently."

A nod.

"So you have...six Gnosis? How does that compare to others? More, less, average?"

Jeremiah Hamilton: "More than most, although with the number of multiple-degree masters here I wouldn't be surprised if it's near the bottom of the pack more than the middle."

Klaire Henriette: "I have noticed how many there are. I believe Aperature just became a second degree Master as well."

And finally closer to his chest.

"And what of the seven pointed star?"

Jeremiah Hamilton: "She mentioned as much, yeah." He nodded, shaking his head. "She's having a moment herself, I've noticed. Hope she's able to figure out what her heart wants and is able to follow it."

"The number of Arcana I've studied. The only ones I haven't touched on are Death, Spirit and Time."

Klaire Henriette: "Indeed. She is a soul that doesn't sit still particuarly well. I do hope she decides to stay."

A nod.

"So you have learned Mind, Space, Life, Prime, Matter, Forces, and Fate?"

Jeremiah Hamilton: "Mmhmm. Master for Mind and Space, Adept of Forces, Life and Prime, Disciple of Matter and Initiate of Fate."

Klaire Henriette: "And no..." she counts "Arcanum you are an apprentice of."

Jeremiah Hamilton: "Correct. Will likely be working towards that for Fate soon, though."

Klaire Henriette: "Good luck on that front. If I may be curious...the abilities I have now, what levels of the Arcanum would they be? I remember before you said they would be all across the Arcanum of Mages, but I guess I am curious...how far a Mage needs to progress for some abilities I can do. Such as Thespis not being able to teleport us."

Jeremiah Hamilton: "It's not going to be an exact match, mind, but I can give you a ballpark." He sat back a bit, mulling over what he knew she was capable of. "The teleportation and scrying falls under Space, Adept and Apprentice respectively. The psychometry falls more under Time, but I'm not sure which degree; probably Initiate or Apprentice. Telekinesis requires being a Disciple of Forces...anything else I'm missing?"

Klaire Henriette: "The telepathy itself, although I find it interesting that scrying is space. I always feel as if it was more...linked to my telepathy."

"Oh....and my ability to take wounds from others...and more recently my ability to feel when the Lost are close."

Jeremiah Hamilton: "Telepathy falls under Mind, naturally, as an Apprentice. The healing would be under Disciple of Life, and I don't think the sense of others falls under a particular Arcana per se. Nominally it would be a Knowing practice so technically a Initiate effect."

Klaire Henriette: "So...all across the board and levels. That's...interesting."

She considers.

"What I do find interesting is that I consider my telepathy to be my strongest abilities, but is along one of the earlier steps of the Arcanum. Despite, for example, the teleportation being much further."

Jeremiah Hamilton: "Right? It's part of why I've never understood people who look down on psychics and other sleepwalkers as 'lesser' because they're not Awakened. You cover so much ground and sneak past the Abyss while doing so."

"Yours does work slightly differently as well, as you saw when I used it with you a while back. We have to weave an extra bit into the imago to keep what's sent to only what you want rather than general surface thoughts while that comes standard with yours."

Klaire Henriette: "I do admit...I am above the average when its come to Sleepwalkers I've met, but many do have very interesting abilities that shouldn't be discounted in the slightest. I do find that, in general at least, the abilities that Sleepwalkers possess do tire them out far faster than an Awakened's spells do, and often have other drawbacks. Since learning how to control my telekenesis, I've had to be more careful with my emotions so that it does not flare. So perhaps thats the drawback that allows it to avoid the Abyss. It takes more personal energy and causes other problems."

Jeremiah Hamilton: "Perhaps. Working off of sheer force of will can take a lot out of you, while we have other sources of power to call on as well."

Klaire Henriette: She nods.

"I have seen Mages, especially Bones, cast half a dozen spells without a worry. Maybe a bloody nose from Paradox, but that is it. If I'm well rested I can manage...5... maybe 6 uses of my abilities before I find myself getting tired. 10 or 11 and I'm tapped and just want to sleep for the next week. The telekenisis especially drains me quickly."

Jeremiah Hamilton: "I can imagine. Do you have to put more into each motion done with the telekinesis?"

Klaire Henriette: "Each intense motion. Yes. I could lift a book easily enough, or a jug of water. Something I could lift myself. But a person? That takes more effort. And moving multiple objects and splitting my attention is...exhausting."

Jeremiah Hamilton: "Right. I remember you moving a good bit of stuff in here once. Guessing that was something akin to what happened in the alleyway during the riots?"

Klaire Henriette: She frowns.

"Indeed. I know emotion has power. The Lost use it for that in any regard, but when I lose control...it is like my mind is lashing out. I don't become as tired, but I have no control over it."

Jeremiah Hamilton: "Interesting...and frustrating for you, I imagine."

Klaire Henriette: "Very. I am very careful now, and I find meditation helps. I don't wish to hurt anyone with it, and there is of course the danger of doing it in front of Sleepers who don't understand."

Jeremiah Hamilton: "True indeed." He nodded quietly. "Out of curiosity, are there any particular paths you're wanting to follow with your abilities? Anything you want to work towards trying to develop, or are you just letting things come as they will?"

Klaire Henriette: She pauses.

"I have been developing the strength of my telekenisis, but I am starting to feel a road block. Its getting harder to improve. I've been thinking about finding Cookie again but I have only met them that once. Besides that, I am unsure of what else I can attempt to learn as a Sleepwalker. I have a wide array of abilities already, and at some point I hit the problem of...I have too many options and not enough energy to be able to use them all."

Jeremiah Hamilton: "I haven't seen them around in a while myself, now that I think about it. I do have a fair hand at Forces myself these days, though, so I'm willing to help there as needed."

"True, although there's nothing wrong with having something in your toolkit in a pinch even if you don't need it all the time. Never know when something more niche may come in handy."

Klaire Henriette: "I do think it is nice to have a Mage's input, but also someone that has the same form of magic. I did learn it from Cookie after all...so in this specific instance they may be better suited for it."

She nods.

"That is very fair. I do not know what I am capable of, but there are some abilities I have seen in other Sleepwalkers that I would prefer over some. Such as the Mediums we have around...as much as that may help in cases...I think I would rather avoid that."

Jeremiah Hamilton: "Very true. I can see if I can get a hold of them for you if you'd like."

"Fair enough. The only ephemera I have any familiarity with are goetia, and I never felt the need to branch further into ghosts or spirits. I've had some good conversations with one medium, though. Aya Jabir, if you've run into her?"

Klaire Henriette: "Maybe. If you have a way to contact them, I would appreciate it. But I am also busy so...it may be better to wait."

She nods.

"I've interacted with werewolves in the past, and dealt with the spirit-human hybrids they face, but luckily haven't had to recently. I've spoken to Aya a few times and quite like her, she shares the teleportation ability I have, although we developed it differently."

Jeremiah Hamilton: "That's another part of psychic phenomena that I always find fascinating, the different ways the abilities develop. For some it's just a bolt from the blue, others it's a particular event that sparks it."

Klaire Henriette: "I'm aware I cheat to a degree with the telepathy, but it is always quite interesting, I will agree."

A pause.

"Although now that I think about it...it does make sense that the scrying is Space. Thats how I developed my own teleportation. By expanding on the scrying."

Jeremiah Hamilton: "Makes sense. It works similarly for us, as creating a portal is a step above scrying and outright teleportation is a step above that."

Klaire Henriette: "Thats....essentially how I did it. I could throw my perceptions to another location...afterwards I just had to send my mind and body in the same way. I have to envision the location anyway so often it is easiest to scry and then teleport."

Jeremiah Hamilton: "Usually safer, too. Never know what might be going on at that spot before you jump."

Klaire Henriette: "Indeed. Even if it takes much longer. It is difficult to clear my head enough to throw just my perception and not have the rest of me follow. I had the opposite problem before I developed teleportation, I struggled to clear my head enough to just throw my perception."

Jeremiah Hamilton: "Interesting...that makes some amount of sense, though."

Klaire Henriette: She nods.

"Things do tend to make sense eventually, even if they do not at first."

She pauses.

"Before we go off on too many tangents, is there anything else I should do with.....this?"

A gesture around him, presumably to the aura.

Jeremiah Hamilton: "Not offhand, no. It should fade out soon."

Klaire Henriette: "Good to know. It was a good experience, and quite interesting. I look forward to whatever the next step is as well."

Jeremiah Hamilton: "There are a few options. One you might find interest in allows for seeing through lies and deceptions, while some of the others are geared more towards non-Sleepwalkers. The last you've already been through with Bones, but the version through the meditation doesn't burn through your own force of will as quickly."

Klaire Henriette: "I am already quite adept at that, but I would be curious to see how it is done with a Mage's spells. Reading people is...usually easy for me."

A nod.

"It was a lot, and quite overwhelming, but I also have learned a lot more since they cast said spell. I am glad this one is more manageable. If I remember correctly, it has the possibility to blind me temporarily if done for too long."

Jeremiah Hamilton: "It can, yes. That was part of why I was surprised she combined so many Sights at once with it."

Klaire Henriette: "All of them were the basis of the powers I have. Mind for telepathy, Space for teleportation, Forces for me figuring out telekinesis at the time, and Prime to see how it all fit together. But yes...it was a lot for a first attempt."

Jeremiah Hamilton: "That it was. I tend to ease folks into it, since even one version can be a lot to take in at once."

Klaire Henriette: "I think I handled it well at least. I was exhausted after, but Bones loves that little rest spell they have."

Jeremiah Hamilton: "That is a handy one, yeah. Use it sometimes myself if it's been a particularly rough day." He smirked a touch, although it smoothed back out as he continued. "How are you feeling on the 'having magic used on you' side of things, as an aside?"

Klaire Henriette: "Its gotten...better. I'm getting more used to it, but it still makes me wary. What do you have in mind?"

Jeremiah Hamilton: "Nothing off-hand, just wanted to check on your current comfort level."

Klaire Henriette: She nods.

"Thank you for asking then. I appreciate it."

She takes a deep breath, closing her eyes, and opening them. Then blinking again.

"The spell....wore off too. Thank you for showing me that, and everything else you've shown me."

Jeremiah Hamilton: "You're welcome, on both counts." Jeremiah smiled in return. "Happy that we've been able to talk properly again. I've missed it, honestly."

Klaire Henriette: "As have I. You are a good person to know. And have inspired me greatly."

A slight pause, and a debated question on her lips, that she backs off of and shifts gears.

"You're someone I admire, and I find I use you as an example quite often. I'm glad we met."

Jeremiah Hamilton: He smiled warmly at her response, giving a small nod. "Thank you, and I am too. You've been an absolute pleasure to know and watch grow as you have since we met."

Klaire Henriette: She smiles, but some part of her eyes show she doesn't quite believe it.

"It's been a while, and I feel like I've had many setbacks. I am glad you think I have grown."

Jeremiah Hamilton: Seeing that look in her eyes he gave her a quiet look in return, a proper "no self-doubt in my presence, missy". "You have, but you've pushed forward after each one and have continued to learn. That's the important thing."

Klaire Henriette: She takes a minute to sort her thoughts, then nods.

"I suppose so. I feel like I am still so....behind where I should be. And that is causing me to make some...frankly avoidable mistakes that have caused problems. The exploding Mark II, the arguement after the riot.....the issue with Kaminari the reason you are investigating myself and Bones? I could have likely avoided those, but I feel...." a gesture of trying to find the right word. "Unprepared. And left to learn on my own when so much has changed for me recently. I do not mean to complain, but I just don't feel prepared for so much that I am now encountering as part of the community instead of being on my own."

Jeremiah Hamilton: He nodded quietly. "That's on me, since I was overly cautious about not working with you on that front once I was tapped to head the investigation. I left you hanging and I apologize."

Klaire Henriette: She shakes her head.

"Its not your fault, if anything it is likely my own. But to not point blame, it was just a string of events that lead to a perfect storm."

She nods.

"I appreciate that you've stepped up to help me out as a friend...you didn't have to do that and I greatly appreciate it."

Jeremiah Hamilton: "Mmhmm." He nodded, smiling a touch as she continued. "It was more than just as a friend, at least for me. The Ladder called to you and I offered myself for further guidance on that front. Unfortunately things happened right after, but I'm more than willing to pick up where we left off."

Klaire Henriette: She closes her eyes and tries to sort her thoughts.

"It did call out to me. Yes. But I've also realized that...I don't know very much about it and I think that is part of my struggle. But I also appreciate that you are my friend and I don't want to put undo pressure on you when we all have enough going on as is."

Jeremiah Hamilton: Jeremiah began to say something but paused, looking Klaire over for a long moment before offering a small reassuring smile. "You're worried that making this more official would change things too much, yeah? Especially when you're feeling adrift already?"

Klaire Henriette: She lets out a slow breath, closing her eyes and starting to speak, before opening them and speaking more clearly.

"I suppose so, yes. I guess I haven't been very subtle about that, have I? You are the person I tend to go to for advice and the past month has been...rough. Very rough."

Jeremiah Hamilton: "Eh." He rocked his hand in a so-so fashion, still smiling. "I am sorry you've had to deal with that lack of support and guidance. I don't see any issues with working with each other under the Ladder and as good friends, personally, so if you'll have me I will happily serve as your official mentor."

Klaire Henriette: She smiles, a genuine smile.

"I would love that. As long as we can remain friends and still hang out without those teaching moments. I would much rather have both."

Jeremiah Hamilton: "Of course. All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy and all that."

Klaire Henriette: "Indeed. Although I think some people consider me rather dull. Im still not entirely convinced that Rook isn't the only reason I'm allowed in the Consilium."

A small smile. That was a joke... maybe? A rather dry one.

"What all would that entail? You being my mentor through this?"

Jeremiah Hamilton: "He is a perk, but definitely not the entire reason." He chuckled. "We'll make it known through announcement, much like when you were originally with the Free Council. I think most folks assume that I've already taken you under my wing, but we can get the word out that it's official."

Klaire Henriette: She nods.

"I would very much like that. Thank you Sirius."

A small smile graces her face. Not one of the little half smiles she always gives...but a small genuine smile of excitement and anticipation.

"Although, there may be some that raise an eyebrow at the ongoing investigation. Or possibly even that I am Deputy Sentinel, but that may just be my anxiety speaking."

Jeremiah Hamilton: "You're welcome." He said with a smile, nodding. "Maybe, although Constantine didn't seem too concerned about our personal interactions outside of the investigation. Could wait until after things are handled to properly announce it. Whatever you're comfortable with at the moment is fine by me."

Klaire Henriette: "I'm fine with you announcing it now, I just don't want you to have to deal with any harsg looks because of me."

She blinks.

"When I say it out loud...that really does just sound like my anxiety."

Jeremiah Hamilton: "Just a bit, yeah." He chuckled quietly. "To rewind a bit to the goetia talk earlier, if you ever want to face that anxiety in a more literal fashion I can facilitate that."

Klaire Henriette: She blinks and takes a deep breath.

"I remember Kaminari talking briefly about that. Frankly, that sounds like a horrible plan but that may also just be my anxiety. She also mentioned the Onieros and how I could see the different aspects of myself, and how one is my...subconsious drive to improve myself. If I'm remembering correctly."

Jeremiah Hamilton: "Did she now...I still haven't actually met her yet, I don't think." He gave a little nod. "That's definitely a strong part of you, I'll agree there."

Klaire Henriette: "We were attempting to get along, and it was myself, Thespis, and her at the Hall. It turned largely into a question session, which is not a bad thing."

She nods.

"I forgot the word for that part, but remember it had a word for it. Vocabulary."

She shakes her head.

Jeremiah Hamilton: "Something else we can work on." He nodded, thinking a moment on what the Obrimos may have referred to. "Daimon, maybe?"

Klaire Henriette: She thinks back, she may have Eidetic Memory but I have the search function!

"Yes...I think that was it. That sounds right."

Jeremiah Hamilton: "That tracks. It basically represents what sits at the core of your being, even if it's not something you actively acknowledge about yourself, and talking with it can help guide you through those rougher patches of your own psyche."

Klaire Henriette: She nods along, an attentive learner...and blinks at the end.

"The...one problem I have with Shadow Names is that I occasionally forget something is a word or a name for something else. But yes, that sounds like what Kaminari and Thespis talked about."

Jeremiah Hamilton: "Feel ya; I get like that around Potter fans sometimes." He chuckled, giving a nod. "Accessing your Oneiros is something we can arrange at some point down the road if you'd like."

Klaire Henriette: She considers.

"I could see that. But sure. I've also been offered a chance at the MTAI's to see the Astral, but frankly I think that will be better suited for when we are...not dealing with the Mark II's."

Jeremiah Hamilton: "Ah, nice. Those are handy for going in deeper since you don't have some of the same protections we do against the astral winds. Entering your dreamscape and going into your Oneiros from there is more feasible, though, but up to you in the end."

Klaire Henriette: She nods.

"That may be a lesson for the future then. We have already covered...quite a lot today. I would not be opposed to whatever you think is safest."

Jeremiah Hamilton: "We'll put that on the list, then." He smiled, holding an arm out for her to scoot in for a hug if she wished. "How're you feeling?"

Klaire Henriette: She accepts the hug, scooting over.

"A little tired, but also slightly relieved. The Mentor question has been at the back of my mind for...at least a month and a half. And the meditation was...it was...cool. Lets go with cool. Interesting might be another good one."

Jeremiah Hamilton: "Good." He gave a good and proper hug, smiling quietly. "I always love seeing how people react to it, and you adjusted to it fantastically."

Klaire Henriette: "You give good hugs if no one has told you that. But...I'm glad. After the Apocalypse it was...fairly tame in all honesty."

Jeremiah Hamilton: "I have been, but thanks." He smirked, nodding. "It's one of the beginning steps to perceiving the Supernal around you, while the Apocalypse is basically tearing the blinders off. They both have their place and purpose, though."

Klaire Henriette: "So I ran before I walked...or more cartwheeled before I walked."

Jeremiah Hamilton: "Pretty much, yep." He chuckled. "You handled it well from what you said, but Bones threw you in the deep end."

Klaire Henriette: She nods.

"That sounds like Bones. They did take plenty of precautions so I was safe though."

Jeremiah Hamilton: "Which I applaud them for." He sat back, thinking a moment before continuing. "They're very much built around revealing the truth of the world to others, both in the Supernal sense and in day to day life. That's definitely not a bad thing, but the method can be a little...blunt at times."

Klaire Henriette: "Its frankly something I admire them for. It makes them quite easy to talk to. I don't have to worry about them hiding the truth for some obscure reason...we can both just sit there and be bluntly honest without fearing retribution for doing so."

Jeremiah Hamilton: "True enough, that kind of honesty is definitely refreshing in the world we deal with. I'm curious to talk with them more on that front whenever they get back into town, along with the more official business that's still pending."

Klaire Henriette: She nods. "I hope it goes well and smoothly when that does happen. And...well...that it gets handled rather quickly after that."

Jeremiah Hamilton: "Here here." He gave a firm nod. "I think in the end it'll all work out smoothly."

Klaire Henriette: She nods, looking at the window, and then quickly to her phone.

"Oh, I hadn't realized how long I was here. I should likely text my partner so she knows I'll be late for dinner."

We mustn't have that!

"Thank you...again for everything. Ill definetly look forward to seeing that announcement when you have the time."

Jeremiah Hamilton: "Yikes, wouldn't want that." He smirked, hopping up from his seat and offering her a hand up in kind. "You're very welcome. Happy to help as always."

Klaire Henriette: She takes the hand, dusting herself off and popping her neck from sitting for so long.

"I'm very very glad to have met you. I do...need to go though. We do still need to have that double date with Polly and Ylva." She grabs her stuff and starts heading towards the stairs!
