R: He kissed me very sweetly and then I banged him like a drum. I stormed him like the Bastille. I pillaged his village. I put the Dauphin on the throne. I took him back off again. I'm not sure where I was going with that last one, except that I am deliriously happy.

R: Both. We talked for a very long time, and it was almost the best part.
E: Good. Sex is one thing, pleasant as it is, but being able to *connect* to someone? That is so much more.
R: There is a connection, I know it. I do not think I imagined it. You were not saying that, I know. But I'm just sharing. I can feel it.
E: Excellent. He could use someone who wants that connection with him, who sees him for more than just the silly little dancer, too foolish to realise he's in the wrong Covenant.
R: Would yours make him stronger, do you think?
E: Possibly. There is much we could offer him, but it has to be something *he* chooses, I think. Not something forced on him because we believe it better for him.
R: I can't see him in the Circle, even if it's what I want for everyone. His covenant and how they treat him. It seems to weigh on him. I don't like it.
E: He would make sense as a Carthian, I think. Definitely not amongst the Sanctimonious, though.
E: Nor do I, systir mín.
R: Well, we can watch and wait, then. I don't want them to hurt him. Even aside from what happened - I would still not want that.
E: Watch and wait, and be ready to help him when he is finally forced out.
E: And I did not doubt you would not wish him hurt, even without your connection.
