Log

Ylva has been spending a fair bit of time here, getting used to the sensory input, getting used to her new body as she tries to eat. Trying to eat without wanting to eat the waiters.

Today she was hanging out in the corner idly working on her tablet, partly because it needed charging and the Hedge doesnt exactly have electricity.

She is wearing a usual outfit for her, denim short shorts, ripped stockings and a heavy looking leather jacket.

Infront of her is 5 Milkshake glasses, two have cracks, three dont. One of them is currently being sipped at while she doodles. A couple plates pushed to the side with a mixture of bent and straight cutlery.

A very non-binary Bones slipped through the portal. Broad masculine shoulders, slight breasts, flared hips, and long legs that seemed unshaven. As they did, they seemed to appear to notice, not having been there a moment ago. Today was a black tee and suit coat, with a knee length pleated skirt, black as well. Their front pocket had a surprisingly fresh red poppy tucked into the button hole. Red heels finished the ensemble, walong with the ever present satchel across their body.

As their gaze moved through the room, they recognized Psyche's beautiful partner from the other night and approached, "Ylva, was it? I am Bones, just might look slightly different than last we met."

Their eyes moved across the different states of the dining wear with a piqued curious brow.

Ylva smiles as they appear.

"Hiya Bones. I hope your having a good night."

She doesnt comment on or even seem to process their change in appearance, gender presentation becoming a bit irrelevant with the whole, not human thing.

"Mostly... my studies are going well. Had a chance to talk with Klaire in depth the night after we met, and it was quite productive, but I'm worried that something that I said upset her somehow. Not intentionally by any means, but ... have you talked to her about meeting Jay and I the other day, or check in with her at all?"

"Not since she went out to meet the two of you. We spoke on the way home from here, but not since she went out to visit one of the places im not allowed. One of the Mage places."

She tilts her head gripping the table with an unseen tail, the care of a partner.

"What happened?"

They sat down across from Ylva, "We were talking about her abilities, and then also the abilities of the Awakened to use telepathy as well, and the differences. She seemed very happy to share hers, but immediately defensive when Jay linked us instead.... I mentioned that it might be because they didn't want to give up control."

Ylva nods taking a second to think.

"Hmm, maybe yeah, felt different to when she links. Maybe it felt different im not sure."

Bones smiled and nodded at that, though the worried look was in their eyes yet, "So..." they motioned to the plates and glasses.

The worry remained in her tails, though she tried her best to look calm.

"My body no longer obeys the limitations of the Human form. It did when I first got back, so im working on not running up my tab."

"What are the current limitations? I might be able to help a little bit somehow?"

"In what sense? Enough that I can accidentally rip things apart and keep breaking my cutlery."

"Huh. Well..." they pulled out a... well... a wooden wand from their bag. Or was it rock? Hard to tell. They spoke a strange language and began to wave the wand over the broken items, starting to fix them.

"Well, that helps in one sense though im pretty sure Maddy isnt charging me for breaking things. Doing im guessing the same."

There is a chuckle to her voice. Almost suprise that its so easy.

Close examination, or great perception as the Lost have, might note the bit of sweat on Tommy's head as they focus, reshaping the metal and ceramic a little bit. It would require more later, but it was a start for the tema at the restaurant.

"So, Klaire seems pretty damn cool. So do you. Glad to run into you again," they said on a complete tangent.

Ylva smiles for a moment watching Bones work, then it turns into a smirk mirroring their chaotic brain.

"Why thank you. Ill take that as a compliment."

She leans forward on the table batting her eyelashes. "Are we to continue where we left off then?"

The blush flushed their face again, "I... would... um. Klaire...?"

There is a little smirk.

"Oh you sweet thing, me and Klaire are very secure in our relationship. I have partner beside. She could never satiate me like I need."

"Oh goodness," the blush deepened, "You are ... gorgeously intimidating... Intimidatingly gorgeous.... " their eyes went doe sized, the babbling coming out again, "When you aren't here, what sort of... thigns do you do?"

She puts a mock hand to her chest. Before chewing on her finger.

"Well now, you really are a sweet thing." There is a playful pause before she continues. "Im an artist, a tattoo artist to be precise though I do all sorts and." Another pause. "Well id like to add you to that list."

"It's very, ummm, wow I'm warm. Oh. There's a tattoo that I'd love... I mean sometime, maybe. I've never got one, and I'd have to know it well so it stayed when I changed... but... Oh! Um," they couldn't help give Ylva a look over again, "Goodness."

There is a hearty chuckle as she leans back in the chair sipping at her smoothie.

"Sorry, I know I can be a lot." A slight pause as she shifts to a business face, well as business as she has ever been in her life. "I could help you out with a small piece to start if you wanted?"

"Maybe. I'd have to think about it. Where is your shop?" the slight shift in tone allowed them enough time to order a large milkshake of their own.

She grabs a card from the mass of her tails sliding it over the table. "The shops downtown. Theres my card, just flick me a message and I can sort something out, make sure im on this side and all that."

They tucked it into their satchel for now and then tilted their head, "This side? Are you able to cross the Gauntlet or the Gates of the Dead?"

She shakes her head. "No, we have our own little slice or hell. The Hedge." Tommy/Roger - PatchR (he/him) — Yesterday at 8:34 PM "Oh. That's where you escaped from?'

Ylva shakes her head again.

"Its, no, the Hedge is between here and our version of, Arcadia, where we escape from."

"Huh. So I guess someone told you about the Mage concept of Arcadia, hrm?"

She chuckles a nod.

"Yeah. Someone's title included some sort of Lord or something of Arcadia and I nearly had a panic attack."

"Oh, shit. Yeah," her eyes bugged out, "I can see how that can be... wow. So tattoo for work, eat stacks of pancake in a single bite, and ... what sort of hobbies or fun?"

"Tattoos for work. Art for play. I like gardening and being stood on."

She chuckles. "Sorry. Still trying to work out the dynamic with my Dommy since all this."

THat caused the darkest blush yet, "Oh. That sounds... interesting. I'd l-- May I... who is it?"

There was a sly wink as she continued.

"My receptionist at the shop. Jenny. Lovely girl. Lovely messed up power dynamic there."

"That sounds like a textbook... control during day, submit by night behavior," a soft smile.

She chuckles and raises an eyebrow.

"Oh your not so innocent as it seems."

"Well," they ran a hand through their hair, "I know a few things. Also imagined some things."

She leans forward on her elbows.

"Well. Do you imagine more if I lean forward all cute and make fox eyes."

There is a chuckle.

"I certainly," she swallowed deeply, "I certainly imagine seeing what else you eat..."

"I can assure you, you'd really rather not know the answer to that question."

And with that she leans back. All playfulness gone from her face.

"Oh. Shit. I. I stepped in it again. Sorry."

She shakes her head.

"Its fine."

As she speaks her hand shakes slightly before the glass in her hand shatters.

"It is obviously not fine. However, I'm not the most used to flirting in general, let alone since I've been able to change shape to how I feel... I guess that was a shitty pick up line or something... though... someday I'd love to learn more, just because I like to know more about my friends."

"Its fine. Its a me problem."

She stands grabbing her things and heads out.

"Have a good night." As she touches the boundary of the door she vanishes home.
