Sabine Farber/Introduction

From From Dusk till Jawn

Sabine used to track and occasionally try to hunt the various supernatural denizens of Philly. But that was back when she didn't even know how little she knew. All she knew was there were things that went bump in the night, and some at least, preyed on the type of people she tried to help. But she wasn't inherently a bigot, dedicated to her hatred and unwilling to let her opinion change. Her interactions with Rena after Rena's embrace forced Sabine to confront the idea that at least some of the supernatural community were victims themselves. She backed off her hunting and instead turned to research, trying to figure out who needed help and what kind they needed. But that's a long, complicated process since you can't exactly look up the info, even if you have access to JSTOR. Before she could even do much more beyond scratching the surface, she was killed.

How? That's a very good question, and one she'd desperately like to answer.
