The Library

The Fishtown Free Library has stood for almost 80 years. In 1969 it's at the time owner mysteriously disappeared, which lead it to be held by its trust. Rumors of scandal surrounded the library, and it took nearly 2 decades for the library to repair its image by promoting free access to online resources. Currently, the library's board of trustees make all important decisions regarding the library, but are known to be highly responsive to their community to promote learning and a safe space. Game nights, reading hours, and more can be found here as the library tries to not only provide a place of learning but also of community around Fishtown.

Recently, a new employee claiming to be the granddaughter of the previous owner has joined the library staff, working to improve it even further with a personal touch and seeking a connection to her lost grandmother.

  • Safe Place 2

The Hollow

A secret code only known to The Bottom Shelf is hidden among the shelves. Once entered, this Hollow is filled to the brim with books. There are reading nooks hidden everywhere throughout the library, and you can be confident no one will disturb you unless you want them to, and gentle music plays that filters out if it distracts you. Research is incredibly easy within the library, as it doesn't entirely follow the laws of physics. As you find what you need and move along the shelves, they will naturally progress as you narrow down your search.
