Well Known Face: Violette is a well-known musician who has been on national television on many occasions, played large concerts around the world, and been in the news any number of times. If you think there's any reason you might recognize her, you probably do. (Fame )

That Voice: Launched into the national spotlight by her appearance on The Voice at the age of 17, where her blind audition included a demonstration of her six octave range, Violette went on to win her season. That victory lead to a music career that saw her producing albums and touring worldwide.

Mental Illness Advocacy: From the very beginning of her appearances in the public eye, Violette was open and honest about her experiences with mental illness, in particular with schizoaffective disorder. She spoke about it candidly, lead awareness campaigns, and generally worked to increase understanding of the reality of what her life was like. She's spoken about it in interviews on talk shows in addition to during her time on The Voice, and even done a TED talk.

Vanishing Act: For about four months just a couple of years ago Violette simply vanished. She didn't show up for a large concert, didn't answer her phone, and as far as anyone could find, she was simply gone. There was a police investigation, news reports, many theories about what might have happened to her, and a lot of assumptions that she'd been killed for one reason or another. Then she just showed back up, and since then has been unwilling to talk about what happened or to perform. In fact, rumor has it she often refuses to talk at all.

Changeling: Among the Lost who know her, the fact that Violette's brief disappearance was due to time spent in Arcadia is a pretty obvious guess, even if she never told them that outright. She doesn't really keep it a secret with the Lost, though.

Viridian Song: Violette's Keeper was the Queen of Mirrors, and given the nature of her appearance very few of those who were also captives there wouldn't immediately recognize that fact; the green neon glow she gives off is unmistakable. The soft, strange musical hum she emits probably is too, like the quiet sound of a high-powered neon sign, but with musical intention.
