A clearing in the woods

Log

Scene is set on September 23, 2023

Lethia Rose: It's quiet. The sun has just gone down. Deep in the woods, in a clearing by a lake, a bonfire crackles. The frogs sing, bugs hum, and the fall breeze rustles leaves that are just starting to change colors. A waxing gibbous moon is just starting to clear the canopy, adding to the light below.

There are two long oak tables on either side of the clearing, one is laden with all kinds of food, and the other is covered in any sort of drink you could hope for. Opposite the lake there sits a rough throne put together from stones in the area. Moss, lichen, and dirt still cling to it, testament to the fact the rocks were dug up quite recently.

Lethia lounges on the stone in a green toga, with a crown of cypress and asphodel perched atop her head. She stares into the fire and toys with an antler as she waits for others to arrive.

Vincent Drake: Vincent was always up for a party, and hey, party thrown by the scary goth girl covenant has to be good right, sure it was outside the City, but he'll take that that risk, so he flew over the woods, trying to find the location on the invite and. oh shit this is just straight up the blair witch project, seemed he was the first to arrive. The raven circled the clearing before coming down to land in front of the stone throne, shifting to become Vincent giving his host a lil bow, he was wearing jeans and black shirt that said 'I'm sorry I'm teething'

"Is this finally the night I'm invited to the vampire orgy, do I have to bring my own mask." he joked with a small chuckle, "Seriously though, thanks for the invite, you seem....otherworldy." he gave Lethia a once over look, "Totally giving off scary Persephone vibes."

Lethia Rose: "Mm, no, the orgy isn't until spring." Lethia says with a small laugh. "And thank you, that's very sweet of you to say." She's definitely not blushed, as her skin is porcelain white without the slightest hint of makeup.

Vincent Drake: He shrugged and looked around the place, "Fuck this is cool, always was a fan of shit like Salem and the Craft, it's weird cause now I'm actually a creature of the night, it's hard to enjoy a nice horror movie when your life became one, and your not the traditional hero of it." he chuckled

Lethia Rose: "Aren't you still young enough that you still root for the heroes of the story?"

Vincent Drake: he shrugs, "As far as I'm concerned, I'm the protagonist of my story, whether it's a hero's tale or a villain's tragedy is still up for debate."

Leila Zaki: Leila comes walking up, also not Blushed and in a red dress that swishes and flows with her movements, embroidered flowers along the neckline.

Behind her she almost drags her Sire, a smile on her face.

Lethia Rose: "You're a Kindred. Very few of us are heroes." She says with a small smile. "Do you plan on clinging tightly enough to humanity to be a hero?"

She gives Leila and Titania a lazy wave as they walk up. "Alexander, Leila, merry equinox."

Vincent Drake: "Like I said, balancing act, I think if I can maintain I nice lil ying-yang thing between myself and the Beast, not give in totally but not deny, I should do well." he nodded, "I've tried riding the wave before, it's a....honestly a enlightening experience."

Alexander Tarek: Dragging would be a word for it, but Alexander did indeed accompany his childe to the gathering, dressed neatly in an all-black ensemble. "And to you as well, Lethia." He replied to her greeting, giving those already gathered a nod.

Leila Zaki: She bows her head faintly.

"Lethia. Nice to see you once more."

She looks slightly in surprise to Vincent but doesn't comment. She instead turns to her Sire.

"Lethia was the one who helped me in Italy. I don't know how much you remember."

Lethia Rose: "Ah, so you would say that you and your Beast are two separate entities then?" She asks Vincent.

She looks between the three. "Do you three know each other, or do you need introductions?"

Vincent Drake: At that Vinny shrugged, "I don't know, I don't think I'm gonna dive into 'Man and Beast' philosophy, all I know is that while I don't always agree with Dark Vinny, he has some nice points every now and then," he turned to the other two Crones, "Yes, Leila and I go way back and Alexander is pretty chill." he gave the two a lazy salute, "I don't know if Dark Vinny is something in my soul for the ride or just a manifestation of my base instincts, either way he's still there and I gotta deal with him."

Alexander Tarek: It took a moment to think back on the incident in question but Alexander nodded once he recalled what they were speaking of. "Ah, yes. Thank you for your assistance."

He stayed away from the Beast conversation for the time being, smiling a touch at the salute and giving Vinny a nod in return.

Juliet Morrigan: The clacking sound of heels would pique the ears of those present. If they were to turn towards the sound they would see a Juliet in and orange dress and a beautiful smile of her face. She was blushed and she even offers a nice little wave.

“Good evening everyone, I hope your nights are going well. Lovely party you are throwing here. It has been awhile since i have attended one of these. Regardless, i hope my memory serves about appropriate colors.”

Leila Zaki: Leila fought the urge to correct his salute stance. Military trauma dies hard.

"There are rituals within the Crone that would allow you to Ride the Wave more easily."

Leila knew he wasn't biting, but who knows, maybe one night.

She blinks at the Dame Knight, but only offers a tiny nod. Not going to get in the way of an Elder.

Lethia Rose: She waves off Alexander's thanks airily. "I was only doing what was right. And I never miss a chance to take care of some Lance. And I'd hate to have lost someone as delightful as Leila."

She's about to respond to Vinny, but breaks off to greet the newcomer. "Ah, Dame Knight Juliet! You look lovely, and fit right in wearing those colors. It's a pleasure to see you. How fare your nights?"

Vincent Drake: While Lethia greets Juliet, Vincent walks over to Leila, "Great to see you," he looked her over, "You look amazing, now your all making me feel underdressed," he chuckled, "How has your week been, ugh, can't wait to properly start October, we are gonna binge some horror anime, ever watch Ghost Stories or Another?"

Alexander Tarek: "Very true indeed," Alexander replied to Lethia, smiling quietly as he looked to his childe, then nodded to Juliet as she made her entrance. "Good evening."

Juliet Morrigan: "My nights have fared well lately, thankfully."

Her smile brightens and she twirls briefly on toes before she comes back full circle. She then glances towards Vincent.

"It is the celebration of the Equinox. Many religions mark this as a time which represents a new beginning, growth, and shedding of negativity from the previous year. There are also a variety of colors associated with the celebration, orange being one of them. I have found it best to honor the traditions of others by both participating in their traditions and showing my support through my attire."

Her eyes then drift towards Alexander and Leila her eyes linger on Leila perhaps slightly longer than Alexander. She extends her right hard in greeting.

"A good evening to the two of you, I do not believe I have had the pleasure to make either of your acquaintance's yet. The Right Honorable, Alder Dame Knight, Juliet Morrigan, The Marquise of Cardiff and Matriarch of the Morrigan family, charmed to meet the two of you. However, we can of course shorten that a little bit. Dame Knight Juliet or Dame Knight Morrigan are both more than acceptable."

Leila Zaki: There is a nod of thanks to Lethia, and a small smile at the 'would hate to have lost' part, but she moves on to not crowd the hostess.

She nods to Vincent.

"It is a celebration after all. It is important to dress as such. The equinox is a time of magic."

She pauses as she realizes the other woman has already answered that, a sheepish smile. Not realizing she should have been quiet. As such she takes a minute to notice she needs to shake the hand, so does so.

"Hello, Dame Knight Juliet."

Lethia Rose: "If it were any other covenant, and any other hostess, I might say you're a tad underdressed. However, I'm much more laissez-faire than that. You could have shown up naked and I would not have batted an eye." She pauses, considering. "Well, I may have made you put on clothes since I opened it to the city, but."

She nods along to the explanations given. "This time of year means many things to many people. It's always interesting to see what hasn't changed over the years."

Vincent Drake: "Death and taxes." Vinny offered a joke, two things that always seem to remain

Juliet Morrigan: -Juliet takes Leila's hand and shakes it and she maintains eye contact until the handshake breaks. Then she glances over to Lethia and Vincent as she hears the "Could have shown up naked" part and of course she has to say something about that-

"Though I am not as experienced in the matter as others might be, in my experience it is rarely acceptable to show up to a location without clothing. It can be . . . minimal but tends to be something that comes off later."

-Her eyes then move to Alexander and she walks over before offering a hand.-

"Lovely to meet in person."

Alexander Tarek: A ghost of a smile crossed Alexander's features at Juliet's introduction, taking the offered hand and giving it a firm if brief shake. "Alexander Tarek, good to meet you as well."

Leila Zaki: Leila does not keep eye contact at all, but does shake the hand. She almost seems to be avoiding eye contact.

She does stand back over near her sire. Just because by his side is where she feels the most confident.

Lethia Rose: Lethia stops toying with the antler to tilt her head at Vincent. "Death has changed tremendously over the centuries. Things that were fatal in my time are now routinely cured. Mortality rates are going down, and lifespan is increasing. In honesty, if I were given the option of Embrace in these nights I'm not sure I would take it." She says with a dry laugh. "Immortality has its perks, but I do miss the sun sometimes."

Speaking to Dame Knight Juliet she says, "It truly depends. If arriving as an animal it's perfectly acceptable. Some of the early Crone parties made it a challenge to arrive au naturale. And even further back, some Julii and Daeva practically demanded it if you wanted to attend their parties."

Vincent Drake: "Julii...like Ceaser?" He asked before making his way to the food table, he looked at the food and went for an apple, before sighing and putting it down, "not up to throwing up tonight." He muttered befire shrugging and turned to the others, "So, whats the Playlist tonight gonna be, anyone like Ghost?"

Leila Zaki: "A lost Clan believed to be extinct or nearly extinct. Purged by the Striges during the fall of Rome."

The Shadow eyes the night sky.

Alexander Tarek: The invocation of the Julii led to a ever-so-brief pause on Alexander's part, following his childe's gaze upward before looking back to Vincent. "The founders of your covenant's predecessor, some would say."

Lethia Rose: "The clan that claims they founded the Camarilla. They were synonymous with Rome." Lethia smiles toothily. "And yes, the Strigoi got most of them. Opportunistic vampires got the rest. Every now and again you hear of a survivor, usually when someone wants to revive the Camarilla. It's always been some poor patsy fed a bunch of lies."

Vincent Drake: Vinny innocently whistles at 'revive the Camarilla'

"Huh...so there were other clans, well that's fucking terrifying, if we're the, let's see," he begain counting with his fingers, "Sex gods," he gestured to himself, "shadowy vouyers," a nod to Alexander and Leila, "feral beasts, hideous outcasts, and narcissistic lords, that's already plenty of classic tropes, you telling me their are possibly more versions, like Lovecraft vampires, psychic vampires, maybe flat out mermaid vampires, I'm sorry but that's gonna keep me up during the day."

Leila Zaki: Leila hands itched towards the outside of her thigh to check if her gun was there. It wasn't. This was a celebration.

"Perhaps. That is for time to tell."

She mumbles to her sire in Arabic.

"*Apí*, are you okay?"

Alexander Tarek: Alexander nodded quietly to Leila's question, smirking a touch at Vincent's comment. "The night is full of many things, and the blood works in mysterious ways."

Lethia Rose: "We're less sex gods and more vain peacocks, but yes. There are many things that go bump in the night. And if half the myths and legends on this planet are true, there are more supernaturals out there than even we could count in a lifetime. Isn't it wonderful?"

Vincent Drake: Vincent laughed, "Sorry, sorry, bit of my narcissism got worked in there, peacocks if better." he continued to chuckle

Leila Zaki: "It can be wonderful, yes. But also dangerous. Many of those supernatural creatures have various motivations of controlling or destroying the world, all of which seem to be cancelling each other out."

Alexander Tarek: "Thankfully those who dwell here seem to prefer cooperation rather than competition. It's been a refreshing experience, I will say. Some of the courts I've spent time in were downright deadly, let alone dealing with the others who walked the shadows with us."

Lethia Rose: "That's what makes them wonderful. So many ideas and desires, all colliding and fighting it out in so many intricate dances and plays for power." Lethia sighs wistfully. "And don't let the facade of the city fool you, there's competition all over. It's just not deadly right now."

Vincent Drake: Vinny may or may not have had a thought at the mention of 'control or destroy', but he's no gonna voice that here.

"Sometimes ya gotta let ideas hash it out," he shrugs, "Old ones don't work anymore, new ones die off like the latest fad, it's less marketplace of ideas and more Darwin's arena of ideas, me, I like the chaos, as a wise but very shitty man once said, it's a ladder, and sometimes ya need a lil chaos to make sure order is working efficiently, test the machine and see what parts need to go."

Leila Zaki: "New ideas can often be fruitful, yes. Some around us are often slow to adjust, however. It may take them time."

Not naming names, nope.

"But other Domains, many are at each other's throats for dominance. I am glad yo have a break from that here. That is part of the reason I enjoy calling Philadelphia home."

Juliet Morrigan: "Competition is necessary so individuals do not get complacent. I do not know about this "chaos being a ladder" thing you are speaking of. However, I do know the saying "Without order nothing can exist, without chaos nothing can evolve. Nowadays people know the price of everything and the value of nothing." There are of course many ways to interpret this one such way is its link to what is known as "chaos theory"."

Alexander Tarek: "Very true." Alexander nodded to Lethia and Leila. "It's enough to keep one on their toes but not so much as to feel the dagger at your back every night. I've enjoyed my time here as well because of that."

Lethia Rose: "Chaos is a ladder?" Lethia looks at Vincent questioningly. "You use it to advance ahead of others? Just remember that chaos plays favorites."

Her lips twitch briefly into a smile at Leila's statement.

"And things can exist without order. There isnt an innate order to the universe and it spins along just fine don't you think?"

Vincent Drake: "Chaos is an opportunity for people to advance beyond their station, navigating it like a storm, some crash on rocks, some find the eye, I like to think I'm good at navigating, not perfect but enough to avoid rocks and get rewards." says the man who collected winnings from corpses in Fairhill, "Intresting times make for intresting success stories, and if Chaos has favorites, then I'll show her a good time to win her over." he laughed

Leila Zaki: Leila stays quiet. Not sure how to respond so just sticks near her sire.

Juliet Morrigan: "Chaos does not have favorites. If anything all chaos does, as you said yourself, create "opportunities" for people."

She pauses and looks towards Lethia

"I find it interesting that you chose to focus on the "order" portion of that quote. The rest of it is equally valuable so I am curious why that stood out most to you."

Alexander Tarek: Alexander remained quiet as well, listening intently to see where the conversation went from there.

Lethia Rose: "Because it's wrong. Order isn't necessary. Order is something humans made up. It's something we make up. Humans see a repeating pattern and declare that the natural order for a hundred or so years until they find a different repeating pattern."

Vincent Drake: "Just because it was man-made, doesn't mean it's not necessary," VIncent countered, "Chaos and Order, nature and man, they compliment and improve each other," he gestured in the direction of Philly, "The City is man made, but it's where we thrive, hundreds of mortals playing out their own little dramas, some of them self seen predators that seek to harm the others," he notices a spider crawling under him and smashes his foot down, a smirk on his face, "A little order is needed to squash those bugs...and when order is complacent, throw in some chaos to shift things, let it adapt as needed."

Leila Zaki: Maybe its just the Shadows. Daeva like having the attention and the Mekhet are happy being quiet on the outskirts.

Juliet Morrigan: “Order is wrong and unnecessary.”

She repeated the statement

“Tell me, when was the last time you knew Fall to be Spring or perhaps Winter to be Summer? Its as Lord Drake said, even nature follows an order of sorts. Just because a name was given to something by humanity does not mean it does not exist. Now you may try to counter with having a warm day during winter or a cooler day during Spring but that does not change the season. Or would you disagree with that too?”

A glance to the silent duo

“I am certain the two of you could weigh in your opinions. I would positively love to hear where you land.”

Juliet does not appear to be being smug, she seems genuinely curious and is enjoying the debate

Alexander Tarek: A ghost of a smile flitted across Alexander's face as Juliet looked their way, mulling for a moment before he answered. "Pure chaos would be an untenable state in my opinion, unable to allow any growth or change to have meaning before being swept back into the morass to find yet another form. There must be some structure to the world, although too much can be stifling and cut off growth just the same."

Leila Zaki: Leila blinks in surprise for a second, like she forgot she could be seen.

"I enjoy listening, I was not avoiding giving my views."

Leila hesitates, trying to put their words together in a way they think might make sense to the neurotypicals of the group.

"I like order. Having something rigid to cling to and...figure out the right way to go. I don't always know what others think is the right way, so order helps me guess. It is what I liked about the infantry when I served, there were rigid protocols and ranks to follow."

Lethia Rose: "Order is unecesssary, not wrong. The quote is what's wrong. And yes, four seasons. Universal the world round. There are certainly no places with three seasons, two seasons, or even one season." Lethia purrs from her throne. "And they're the same in the Northern hemisphere as the Southern one, yes? There are no seasons, Dame Knight, only patterns of weather that are similar given names."

"As for you," She points her antler at Vincent. "Order chokes chaos. It does not improve it in the slightest. Order will stamp you out just as easily as you did unecessarily to that spider when it is through with you."

She listens and nods encouragingly as Leila and Alexander speak.

Vincent Drake: "You ever watch Return of the King, fuck spiders," he wiped his shoe against the ground, "You ever hear of Ying and Yang, the whole universal balance speal, Kindred need Kine, and Kine, they love Order, they need it, and I myself, thrive in chaos, it's fun, it's exciting, gives me new roads and ideas," he made a line in the dirt with his feet, "So I see chaos, I hop in and try to give it a sense of order...well, order as I see it, one mans order is another chaos....organized chaos is how I keep my room, Maria says I need to clean it, but I know where everything is." then messed the line up again, "A small island of personal order in a wider sea of chaos......" he looked to the others and smiled, "It's why I'm a Lord, and Chorister, best of both worlds."

Juliet Morrigan: A smile slips over Juliets face for a moment, which is then shortly followed by a giggle then actual laughter. She raises a hand to cover her mouth while she laughs to be a little bit more polite. Though it does seem like this laughter is genuine and not in any way mocking anyone. Once it starts to settle down she waves her hand in the air a little.

"Apologies. I have not had such an entertaining conversation in . . . well, shall we simply say a long time. Your point of view is so very fascinating and not at all one I would ever expect to hear from a member of the Circle. A Carthian, absolutely, but not a member of the Circle."

She lets out a breath, smile still on her features

"The Circle uses Crúac if I recall correctly and thus utilizes rituals, yes? Is a Ritual not something that is a series of actions performed according to a prescribed order?"

She does glance between the gathered to at least affirm that her view of rituals was somewhat accurate.

Leila Zaki: Leila blinks, letting someone else take that question.

"Not to argue with you, Crone Lethia. But the Northern and Southern hemispheres have opposite seasons. They'd be having the Spring equinox right now."

Alexander Tarek: Alexander eyed Juliet curiously at the laughter but otherwise remained quiet for the moment, letting Lethia field that particular question.

Vincent Drake: Vinny decided to let the elders have the ancient and terrible debates that those older then centuries can have, so he did what any boy at any party would do and walked over to Leila and gave a bow, "It's a party, care to dance?" he asked with a smile

Lethia Rose: "Ask ten acolytes how they do their rituals and you'll most likely get ten different answers. All that will stay the same is faith, intent, and vitae." She smiles . "Beyond that, it's all patterns. And I'd be surprised if any Carthian did echo my thoughts. After all, the firebrands do seek to impose their laws on everyone else, and that requires order. Their chaos will always be short lived."

"And yes Leila. That's why I brought it up, to fulfil the condition of Spring being Autumn."

Leila Zaki: She nods to Lethia, staying quiet. She seems slightly surprised at the offer to dance, looking to Alexander for permission.

Alexander Tarek: Alexander made an 'after you' motion with his hand, seemingly amused at being asked permission first. He then looked back to Leila and gave a small nod. "Some find comfort and stability in the patterns they can see, which I cannot fault them for. As long as one does not become bound by them and allows themselves to change and adapt there is no harm in that, as I see it."

Leila Zaki: "A teacher can only share the ideas, not the process. It has been a struggle for be because of that."

She nods and curtsys, taking Vincent's hand.

Vincent Drake: Vincent smiled as he lead Leila to dance to a tune he was hearing in his head. No vampire party is complete untill their is moonlit dancing to zero music.

Leila Zaki: Leila is a very literal person, and probably very much needs actual music. Vinny clearly knew what he wanted to do and Leila tried to figure out his movements and zigged when she should have zagged and immediately knocked them both over, rolling over each other probably once cause physics.

Leila obviously is very embarrassed about this and...seems to fade from that spot, into the shadow beneath her, and reappears behind a tree, fixing her hair and looking very very very embarrassed.

(The two here that don't know what that is in character, feel free to int+occult-4 for obscurity and DM me with the result so I dont forget)

Juliet Morrigan: -Juliet arcs a brow at the response, then she continues the conversation-

"I could ask ten thousand acolytes how they do their rituals and get ten thousand different answers. That is not the point of our exchange nor my question. However, my question was answered intentional or not. The correct answer was "yes". So now to the point of my stance of our discussion; without order you would not have Cruac. It does not matter how many people do things how many different ways. What matters is that they must do them a specific way in order to achieve an intended result. This is Order. You can say it is "unnecessary" but in reality it is very much necessary. For without the order in which you use your rituals, they would not work. One could even say they could not exist."

-She glances over towards Vincent and Leila for a moment before her eyes return to Lethia-

"The movement is an agent of change. Change the established order that currently exists and replace it with a new one. Change is a form of chaos, without it we are too inflexible to adapt to the change caused by chaos. One of their many nicknames is "The Revolution" and what is a Revolution if not something that creates change?"

Lethia Rose: Lethia very politely doesnt mention anything about Leila's misstep in dancing.

"Incorrect. There is no order in Cruac. There is only chaos. As a matter of fact, in my magic and many others like mine, that is quite literal. If there was order, there would be no Cruac. And as far as having to do the rituals a certain way, well. I can think of 5 different ways to do a ritual off the top of my head."

"An agent of change, certainly, but change is structured and orderly. It can hardly be considered chaos, the most change brings is a few ruffled feathers and maybe some staked elders. Besides, if you watch carefully you can see the calcification of the movement begin to take hold."

Vincent Drake: Vinny walked over to Leila, "Sorry, your so much better then me that it seems my clumsyness slipped ya up, sorry about that." he offered, then looked over at the three elders, he assuemed Alexander is an Elder at least, then leaned into her ear to whisper, "Personally, I don't care about the fine points of order and chaos, they can have their opinions on it, don't change mine, because no matter what points are made I'll just live by the old Drake rule, same way I know it's my fault that went south," he made an 'ahem' noise, "I reject reality and substitute my own." he smirked

Juliet Morrigan: She briefly shakes her head, still smiling.

"I see, very curious. So what you're saying is there is no core formula for Cruac then? Like perhaps say intent leads to sacrifice which leads to performance which then achieves a result? Essentially you think a thing and even if someone were to interrupt you during your ritual and prevent it from being completed it would still complete even though it is incomplete?"

She pauses a moment before continuing

"Perhaps we simply have different views on what order and chaos mean. I fear that I have taken far too much of the hostess' time and it does appear that dancing has already begun. I would be beside myself if I did not participate or stood in the hostess' way of participating with the other guests."

(Anyone may feel free to roll a Wits + Empathy - 5! Please DM results! To clarify, the 6s is the one required for Subterfuge as her dice pool is not yet 18 for that roll.)

Alexander Tarek: Alexander continued to remain quiet as Juliet and Lethia went back and forth, sparing Leila a brief glance as she and Vincent took a quick tumble. He gave her a reassuring look before turning his attention back to the argument at hand, eyeing Vincent as he returned to the group.

"May that serve you well." He said with a ghost of a smile to the young Daeva, looking Juliet over as she did her best to change the topic of conversation before nodding quietly to himself.

Leila Zaki: She still seemed flustered but nods.

"It was simply us being out of sync. It wont happen again. I was being serious about liking order. It is better for me."

She joins back, embarrasedly sticking near her sire now. No more dancing for her.

Lethia Rose: "I think we do have different definitions, yes. And if you keep asking questions like that about Cruac we'll have to recruit you." She says with a laugh and a grin. But she lets the knight go without complaint.

"I'm sure the two of you would have fared much better if music had been playing" She says consolingly.

Vincent Drake: "Well...maybe we should talk sometime, about order." he said smiling to Leila, then went back to dance to an invisible beat, even if it's just himself, his movements where fluid and seemed to be purely controlled by what he alone could hear

Alexander Tarek: "I imagine so, yes." Alexander replied to Lethia, watching as Vinny danced to the music in his mind. "Helps to move on the same beat, if anything."

Juliet Morrigan: "If you will pardon me. I do believe I might have something in my car that I can use to . . . assist the atmosphere a touch here."

-Juliet turns to take a brief leave and then returns a few moments later holding what appears to be a violin case. She sets it delicately on a nearby table and carefully removes the contents. Low and behold it was indeed a violin. She begins to tune it a little bit before she starts -

"Here is hoping that my skills have not dulled too much in my slumber. A performance for a deceased mortal mentor."

-Juliet begins to play Symphony Number 5 on her violin. To anyone familiar with Beethoven's work she is able to masterfully play the Symphony alone, which is impressive. Especially for an Elder who claims to have not touched her violin in some time. It becomes obvious that she isn't even using Majesty to enhance her performance, this is simply skill.-

-6 successes on the performance, feel free to dance with Juliet acting as the music for a brief moment. You can also take an appropriate condition such as Inspired if you feel your character would be so affected!-

Leila Zaki: "Perhaps we should."

A nod to Lethia and her sire.

"I think so too."

She waits for Juliet, smiling as the violin appears, offering to take Vincent's hand once more.

(Lets say we each take half that as a bonus, Vin? Dex+expression+3)

Leila Zaki: Leila looked much more confident now that she has a tune to base herself off too. Graceful, yes. But also a practiced graceful because this was something she needed in her unlife. Not something natural to her.

Vincent Drake: Vincent took the hand and danced, rather then grace his own style to dance was passion, a less practice and more wing it in the moment kind. Wrapping an arm around her waist he led her in an impromptu ballroom style movement, because someone was making the partners watch Bridgerton and it was still playing in his head, damn it he wished he was embraced in the Regency era sometimes.

Lethia Rose: Lethia settles back in her chair and listens to the music with her eyes closed and a faint smile on her lips.

Alexander Tarek: Alexander found a seat for himself as Juliet returned with the violin case, a ghost of a smile on his lips as she started to play. Most of his attention was on Leila and Vincent, watching as they danced together.

Leila Zaki: Leila was a bit surprised at the hand around her waist and has a moment of reaching out through the blood to see what her sire thought, before joining in, hand on Vincent's shoulder. She had likely now been to a few balls or the like, 5 years in Kindred society without a fancy ball? Impossible. And so she dances with, a smile as she starts to take the lead.

Juliet Morrigan: Juliet . . . probably could play significantly long but this was about the end of the song that she'd planned on playing. She does draw it out a little bit longer until finally ending it and opening her emerald eyes. Her smile widens slightly at the sight of people dancing.

"Well, I am elated that I was able to play a song that you were all able to dance to without issue. Sometimes simply having a tune to draw on helps you harness the rhythm better than if you are simply dancing to a song in your head."

Vincent Drake: "So, Leila," he whispered as they danced, "I was wondering...would you like to hang out later this week, got some old anime dvds...and their's something I want to ask you about, nothing bad I promise."

Leila Zaki: "I can do that, certainly. I believe I do need to go tonight. I will message you." She heads back to Alexander.
