Petra Fichette: The park was often Petra and Guy's usual haunt, and tonight was no different, though they were still on the main public paths. Petra was was so happy she was practically floating as she hopped along at Guy's side, wings fluttering with giddiness. "What kind of things did people do for weddings when you were alive?" she asked.

Guy Dagenham: “Ah…” He thinks for a moment. He walks at an easy pace, holding Petra’s hand, and seems to be beaming to the people that know him. So slightly less stern to most folks. “When I was alive…common-law would be the term, nowadays. Formal marriages were often for people with property, though it was catching on for others. Especially for commoner mercenaries, most simply had a woman in the camp train…or more than one, though rules got made about that by the time I was one.”

Aurelio Menegi: A familiar face to the bride-to-be became visible down the path the pair was walking as Aurelio walked around a nearby bend, a simple black leather jacket the only real defense against the wintry weather around them. Then again, to use the line, the cold didn't bother him anyway, so thoroughly imbued by the lands of the Longest Night as he was these days. Ice blue eyes - to the Lost present, at least - scanned the park as he walked, a smile forming as he spotted Petra and gave her and her beau a nod.

Jack Martingale: It's just possible that Jack had plans with Aurelio, a late-night tryst in the park, perhaps. Or maybe just a moonlit walk, since he has brought Moss along, the big pibble trotting happily along beside him, a bright yellow harness contrasting sharply against both her grey-brown Mask and the deep green of her Mien. She borfs and starts to dance when she sees the other two Changelings, and before Jack can say anything she trots over toward Aurelio to greet him, Jack a few steps behind.

Petra Fichette: Petra laughed a little. "I'm sure most mercenaries still have a girlfriend- or more than one." She danced in place when she spotted Aurelio and Jack, and tugged Guy's arm. "We're going to tell people, right? Because I don't think I can not tell them."

Guy Dagenham: “Of course we’re going to tell people. I don’t think you could not tell them,” he replies with a little grin. As they approach the others he gives a little wave. “Aurelio, Jack. Hope you’re having a lovely Night.” Yes, you can hear the capital N, no he doesn’t make it sound weird. Fuggin’ vampires.

Aurelio Menegi: Aurelio's smile only grew as Jack and Moss approached, with the Torrent reaching down to give the pup a quick scratch behind the ears before holding an arm out for Jack to scoot in for a hug if he so wished. "Buena sera. Very good, si, hopefully for you as well."

Jack Martingale: Jack does so wish, his scribbly form curling in against Aurelio's marble. He gives the other Spring a kiss, too, sweet and lingering enough to make his cheeks flush in scribbles. "Hello," he purrs into the man's ear, and then, you know, acknowledges the fact that he's in public and there are other people he knows here, too. Petra and Guy get an upnod, and the slightest of raised eyebrows as he smiles at them. "Y'know I always forget just how fuckin' adorable you two are together. Just..." he chuckles. "I'm pretty okay, can't complain."

Petra Fichette: She blushed hard enough for it become visible against her dark skin, and grinned, and bounced over to give them both a hug. "We're good! Things are great. Really great. Getting married."

Guy Dagenham: Guy nods. “She made me ask and everything. Still planning stuff, since it’s been, you know, a day, but we’re thinking a spring wedding.”

Aurelio Menegi: The kiss was gladly returned, a warm smile on his face that only brightened further at Petra's announcement. "Ah! Auguri to you both."

Jack Martingale: "Petra - !" Jack actually squeaks in surprise and delight at her news, and breaks away from Aurelio to squeeze the woman in a tight hug. "Congratulations - spring wedding is very appropriate," he continues with a grin.

Petra Fichette: She laughed. "Yeah, Guy wouldn't agree to eloping last night, so... Spring. Will you guys come?"

Guy Dagenham: “I know too many people who would punch me for not having a proper wedding. And we want our friends to be there. And I want to show Petra off, you know?”

Aurelio Menegi: "Of course." Aurelio nodded firmly to Petra's question. "I would be honored to be there for you."

Jack Martingale: "Obviously," Jack chuckles. "Where are you thinking of having it? Or is it all too soon, still?"

Petra Fichette: "We've crossed more places off the list than we've put on the list of locations." Petra wrapped her arms around Guy again. "Why, have any suggestions? He just asked me last night so we haven't done a bunch of planning yet."

Guy Dagenham: “We were thinking outdoors, preferably somewhere with a back up indoor space. Though apparently Petra thinks we’ll just cheat with the weather,” he says with a little smile, wrapping an arm around Petra.

Aurelio Menegi: "Hmm...fair question." Aurelio thought on that for a moment. "Are there public gardens or the like here? Might be a good place."

Jack Martingale: "The Magic Gardens are pretty wild - it's more of an art show than real gardens, though...maybe one of the arboretums?" Jack's brow furrows as he thinks. "I know more indoor places than anything - and I guess it depends on the vibe you want anyway..."

Petra Fichette: "We don't need a big huge deal. We just need somewhere private enough for the evening. A garden would be nice."

Guy Dagenham: “The vibe…” he thinks a moment. “Timeless, but full of life. A garden would be perfect.”

Aurelio Menegi: Aurelio simply nodded, glad that his suggestion found traction between the pair. "Don't know many of them here, but I would be surprised if there weren't any. The city is large enough for it."

Jack Martingale: "Garden like...fancy conservatory garden, or garden like somebody's backyard? And how private, a lotta gardens are open to the public, unless you wanna spend a whole lotta money to reserve it for an afternoon. Which..." Jack smiles at the two. "'S as a good an excuse as any to do something like that."

Petra Fichette: "Well it'll be a nighttime wedding," she said lightly. "And I'd be ok with a backyard. I don't need fancy, just Guy and our friends."

Guy Dagenham: “Yeah, doesn’t seem to matter how often I reapply sunscreen,” he says with a little shake of his head. “Night for sure. And a backyard or a private garden wouldn’t hurt. Can have it go later that way, I would think.”

Aurelio Menegi: "True. I assume that the post-ceremony celebration hasn't changed that much over time, so having the space to...let loose in peace would be good." Aurelio said with a small smirk, looking between the pair.

Jack Martingale: "'F we had any sort of backyard big enough for anything I'd offer it, but we absolutely do not," Jack says with an apologetic smile. "And Petra - sure you don't need fancy, but do you want it?" He's half teasing her.

Petra Fichette: "I want Guy and a dress. Everything else is set dressing. We could do it in a courthouse or a cathedral, it doesn't matter to me." She smiled serenely. "Guy has more opinions of what we need in that regard."

Guy Dagenham: Guy rolls his eyes. “A little ceremony would be nice. Our friends. If we’re going to have an old school wedding with an attack and daring escape and carriage back vows I’ll need groomspeople; fancy is one thing, but there are some basics we should have if we’re going to bother. Oh…” He pulls out his phone and types something.

Aurelio Menegi: "Sounds like it'll be quite the night no matter what."

Jack Martingale: "An attack and daring escape?" Jack whistles. "If your wedding party is too big, the attack will be prevented before it begins, just based on the people you're friends with..."

Petra Fichette: "I'm hoping there's not going to be any attack at all," Petra grumbled. "But we'll be ready if something happens. And it's not going to happen." As if she could enforce that by will alone. "Do we really need formal wedding parties though?"

Guy Dagenham: “I mean…I would like them. There are some people I’d like to be able to honor that way, my love,” he says with a little smile.

Jack Martingale: "carriage-back wedding vows after a daring escape sounds romantic as fuck," Jack says with a huff of laughter. "Even if it means you have to get attacked first. And I mean, hey - I've got this big attack dog right here..." The 'big attack dog' that is currently rolling in the snow delightledly.

"You're just not allowed to hurt her, or anything. Hence the daring escape." His charcoal eyes glitter with amusement.

Petra Fichette: "See?" she 'whispered' to Jack and Aurelio. "Groomzilla." Even as she said it though, she ran a hand down Guy's back. "We'll do formal parties then. Make all the bridesmaids wear ugly dresses. The whole schtick."

Guy Dagenham: “Really? I was going to have the grooms folk wear smart outfits with swords and everything. But if you want their dresses to be ugly, that’s your prerogative, I guess.” He winks to the Changelings other than Petra.

Jack Martingale: "Ugly dresses are traditional - who's going to be your bridesmaids though, there's some people I'd die to see in ugly dresses like that..." Jack's grinning now.

Aurelio Menegi: Aurelio's eyebrow quirked upward at the unfamiliar term Petra used, smirking after a moment as she continued. "That...could be interesting, yes."

Petra Fichette: "I don't know!" She threw up her hands. "I'm not super great at this kind of thing. Want to be one?"

Guy Dagenham: Guy chuckles softly. “No pressure. And I don’t think we can make the concession that anyone in our party can wear a type of garment they’re comfortable in; a dress or a suit or what have you. We even know a couple people who’d love to make them.”

Jack Martingale: "Not if you're going to make me wear a dress, I don't care how hideous it is," Jack chuckles. "But give me a color and tell me to wear it and I'll be good - which is to say I'd be honored to be in your wedding party." A beat pause. "That's what you're supposed to say, right? There's like...bridesmaid 'proposals' are a thing now, right?"

Petra Fichette: "I have no idea," she admitted. "As for colors... what do you think, Guy?" She tilted her head to look up at him. "What's your favorite?"

Aurelio Menegi: "I suppose?" Aurelio offered a small shrug, then looked to Petra. "As Jack said, though, let me know when and where and I will be there."

After a moment a brief 'ah hah' look crossed the Torrent's face and he looked to Petra with a small smile. "Also...I know it's been some time, but what you asked me for is in the works. Would you want it for the ceremony or before?"

Guy Dagenham: “Green,” he says to Petra, easily. “Or…red. But not both. I’m sure we can find suggestions to match a nice dark green, though.”

Jack Martingale: "If you have a christmas-colored wedding in the spring I will vomit," Jack jokes. "Green's a good color, though."

Petra Fichette: Petra pointed a finger at Jack. "No vomiting! We can do a really nice earthy green and dark blood red. It'll be elegant and symbolic. And..." she shrugged to Aurelio. "Before?"

Aurelio Menegi: "Alright. I'll let you know when it's ready."
